LGT Young Soloists
Добавлен 11 июн 2014
In Summer 2013 a group of highly gifted young string soloists gathered to form a unique chamber orchestra, the LGT Young Soloists. Since their debut in Vienna, the young musicians have astonished audiences in Europe and Asia with a fine display of outstanding artistic skills.
The LGT Young Soloists convince with their youthful, inspiring and fresh approach to music. Their goal is to perform together and to learn from each other. They rotate in performing as soloists, always accompanied by their own orchestra. Against this backdrop, it seems almost negligible that the orchestra consists of many nationalities with several different backgrounds and cultures. The youngsters communicate through their enthusiasm and dedication to music. Alexander Gilman launched this project together with LGT.

New Album: Schubert & Ichmouratov
Gustav Mahler arranged Schubert’s String Quartet No. 14 ‘Death and the Maiden’ by expanding it into a grand orchestral spectacle. It reveals his admiration for Schubert and serves to intensify the quartet’s journey through life, death and human resilience in this fusion of two great composers’ musical visions. Airat Ichmouratov’s Concerto Grosso No. 3 is subtitled ‘Liechtenstein’ and draws on the country’s breath-taking scenery and music in an expressive and virtuoso orchestral exploration. It was composed specifically for Alexander Gilman and the LGT Young Soloists, one of the most successful touring youth orchestras throughout the world.

gorgeous playing and wonderful ensemble-perfect for this work.
Her sonorously beautiful vibrato is like a crying voice asking for help. Bravo! 🤗♥️🌹🎻🎵🎶🎵
It was played faster than I'm used to hearing it. However, the speed did not kill the spirit of it, nor each note played pitch-perfectly! Bravo! Bravo! 👏👏👏👍👍🎻🎶🎵🎶

I love this I just wish the breaths were not included in the recording
Sort of Vivaldi like
Vaughan Williams as well
Omg jaw dropping those harmonics are insane
Brill
Reminds me a bit of Vaughn-Williams' Lark Ascending
Always look forward to seeing these beautiful performances !
Harp playing is very strenuous as its results are beautiful!
2024 아직도 정말 좋아해요🤍
Wow phenomenal! Both the cellist and orchestra. Keep it up!
Love this arrangement
I have performed this with stellar harpists from Maryland to Honolulu and back to San Francisco. The most thrilling performances were when I had the privilege of accompanying Constance Uejio (principal harpist with Honolulu Symphony) during my time as Interim Principal Organist at Central Union Church in Honolulu. Not knowing what resources I might find in a far distant land, as soon as I heard that Connie was a harpist of course I asked if she knew the Aria. It was only after the first performance when I came to know that she had studied with Grandjany. Then I understood why she had an uncommon depth and connection to the composer and this work. During her time of study with Grandjany her father was pastoring a church in upstate New York and would make a trip into Manhattan weekly for lessons. One day she brought a bag of fresh plums to him. "You would have thought he had just received a bag of gold. He was a most gracious little man who was thrilled by the ordinary." An incredible insight and tribute to him wouldn't you say?
Really nice, but lacks the emotion of piano
Bravissimi!!! Bravissima👏👏👏

Eine wundervolle Interpretation. Vielen Dank!
Boy, your bridge!
Piękny utwór i piękne wykonanie. Brawo!
Gratulation! Fantastic musicians!
That's the best Hora Staccato I have ever heard, including Heifetz, and I've been around for a very long time.
Yes I agree, but you must also listen to the original, i.e. Grigoras Dinicu's own recording of his melody. You find it here on You Tube if you search his name.
Heifetz DID NOT compose Hora Staccato! So it is not his!!
Correctly. I wrote ''listen to Dinicus' recording of him playing Dinicus' own melody''. I think his recording is better than many others. Heifetz has said that in his youth he was in a restaurant in Romania and there he heard the restaurant orchestra and Dinicu himself play it for the first time. Fascinated by the tune, Heifetz contacted Dinicu and got his permission to play it. Thanks to Heifetz, Hora Staccato then conquered the world.
@@stiggrasser7989 Sure. And Dinicu also said- write your name under composition. Tons of Gypsy Music music (Hungary, Romania, Serbia) was stolen on that way.
Keep in mind that when Heifetz was playing Hora Staccato, sound quality was not as good as it is now so, we're not able to compare them.
Magnificent! Can the scores of the orquestra be found or purchased anywhere?
Of course it's Abbey Road lol, I was just thinking how incredible of a set-up that was and how pristine the recording was. Those engineers know what they're doing. This is wonderful. Hate to admit it, but I'm here because of Bach-had no idea his bwv 1065 was Vivaldian!
If I may, I think Vivaldi's version is superior. Which is a weird thing for me to say, since I adore Bach. But Vivaldi too. To me there was something about 1065 that never convinced me - for once I think Vivaldi was way more focused and consistent throughout this concert. Listen to this passage, Vivaldi is repeating the progression, keeping it in minor, and unrelentingly increasing tension through repetition and dynamics (3:01), while Bach decides to forgo repetition, and writes ornamental and variational passages, sometimes even with hints of major, that just don't deliver the same level of tension and consistency (ruclips.net/video/vLY6gMiJWCk/видео.html, at 2 minutes and 55 sec). When it comes to the use of instrumentation to deliver emotion, they're both stars, but Vivaldi is a rockstar :)
Perfect! Anybody know where can I find this orchestral sheet music ? Thnx
Boring
Wonderfully played so so beautifully interpreted, and expressed ,max bruch was smiling as you played his work anushka
Me encantó el pitsicato, excelente interpretación ❤
bravo!!🎉
Very cool....
Great, the staccato is a little thin but it was a really good performance.
What a delight.absolutely beautiful
Gorgeous! If I were a parent, I'd be very worried by the eye contact between the two lead cellists! 😁
Oh yes I would too!! 😅
it's normal, it's commication between performers, other performers do it all the time
Go…Miclen…Go! ❤️from LLUC🙏
