(It Had The Same Profound Effect on Me at that age that I now play several Instruments). He was Awe-inspired by this Piece from Vivaldi that he now wants to "Hear Everything". To say his Spirit was lifted by this music is an Understatement! If someone Cracks-On Classical Music or wants nothing do with it.... Or a Person needs their Hearts to Swell & get them feeling something but it can't be described? Play them this Music in Particular. It's Motivating & it Forces the listener to appreciate Life & Living because Life is an Adventure that we all must Live through.
Storm is right, this is pure lightening strike..imagine the composition process, imagination, the hand written ledger, crossing that arrangement out, rewriting, performing..just pure beauty
What I find so incredible about this piece, I can actually see the music. It's like a visual maelstrom of an actual storm with crashing waves, lightening, rain, and wind building and ebbing. When you close your eyes, you can actually feel it and see it in your mind. The sensation is like you are a leaf in the wind, or perhaps a boat being tossed about in the ocean on a stormy night. I get so swept up in the music, it is just breath taking. I wish I could explain the sensation better. You are literally spirited away. This happens with music sometimes. For some reason, this piece just does it so well.
I don't know why, but this piece is my go-to piece whenever I am facing anything a bit difficult. You see I listen to it for 5 yrs as I was battling Cancer, and it always had to be very LOUD. I love this piece..... 🙏 🙏 😇

As a drummer listening to the pace of the sextuplets and the movement as a whole I am impressed. But I'm astounded at anyone who can perform this movement aptly on the violin. I imagine this must be the pinnacle of technical violin play. Well done Orquesta de Camara de Salzburgo
Wasn't one of Vivaldi's nicknames "the red priest"? It amazes me how long ago that he composed this piece. I can imagine the storm when I close my eyes. "Fingal's cave" by Felix Mendelson is another piece which, in my opinion, is best listened to with eyes closed.

I remember being in school when violinist Vanessa Mae released her version of storm. I have loved this piece since. It's singlehandedly the most beautiful, rapturing piece of violin I've heard. I think it's also one of the main reasons I love violin as much as I do. It will never lose its magic to me.

As a drummer listening to the pace of the sextuplets and the movement as a whole I am impressed. But I'm astounded at anyone who can perform this movement aptly on the violin. I imagine this must be the pinnacle of technical violin play. Well done Orquesta de Camara de Salzburgo

I remember being in school when violinist Vanessa Mae released her version of storm. I have loved this piece since. It's singlehandedly the most beautiful, rapturing piece of violin I've heard. I think it's also one of the main reasons I love violin as much as I do. It will never lose its magic to me.
