This is a valuable addition to my woodwork collection ruclips.net/user/postUgkxbnOKZBE4evMO5V2vroHeCjq6d_MV6wJO I still will rate this woodwork plan as the best in my reference library. It always seem to stand out from the rest whenever you go through the library. This is a masterpiece.
In Norway we got a name for some one like pask. Its called a "pirk" and means somthing like meticolus and carefull. Working with a Pirk is sometimes frusterating, but they are the best at everyting. Edit: add patient to that list, and that shows in the pure quality. Beeing a "pirk" is often a negative, but when you work with 100 years old houses you often gett to hear that word when it comes to craftmannship.
@@paulorchard7960 so...do you have a master you can recommend? I mean, I’m blown away by pask, so if he’s no master, then I desperately need to see the work of one.
The scrap wood changes are my favorite part of your channel taking ‘fire wood’ and making awesome from it. I have learned so much over the years of watching.
Oh Pask! They look amazing! I've seen so many boxes made that I feel are ruined when someone goes to put on the hardware. The beauty of the wood here is showcased. Can't wait to see the next part of the series!
I love wooden boxes.. shoot, I love boxes of all types. I would be hard pressed to pick a favorite of those two. They're both beauties and made with such precision and love. Nothing like you see in stores. Beautiful.
Hello Neil, You have shown once again what you can achieve if you love your hobby and do the work with love, passion and from the heart. Thanks for this great video and showing us so much excellent craftsmanship. I'm already looking forward to the second part. Many greetings from Germany, Joachim
Yeah I reckon some musically talented young person could mix something catchy up with a rock stomping beat. Publish it and get a little more revenue into the Pask creation universe.
These are incredible. I love seeing what you can make out of scraps. Everyone makes fun of me at my house for keeping all the small cutoffs from projects, but many of them have come in handy for trim pieces, decorative handles, etc. It saves quite a bit of money, and it makes it easy to add some flair to a project without spending more money or wandering around in a home center or woodcraft to see what might look good with it.
Pask, your videos are just pure art in every aspect - video, editing, lighting, commentary and of course most importantly the Woodwork, absolutely perfect. Its always a pure joy to watch your videos, thank you!
I was totally absorbed in this video! I've tried wooden hinges before without much success. I'm going to try again now after watching this video! Great job!
Those boxes are beautiful. It is so soothing watching great woodworking. The lid tabs would be a good place to hide a small neodymium magnet to keep it closed. Thank you Neil.
Amazing design and very creative without mentioning the level of skill you exhibit. Love these boxes even if I've never had any use for small boxes myself.
The showcase of a great craftsman. Wonderful project would love to make one of it for the little princess as a jewelry box. Finally loving the logo on the cap and shirts.
Love you work Pask! Scrapwood challenge videos are always so amazing watching you make something that is normally burned. It's inspired me to do woodworking more and make my own RUclips channel! Keep up the great work.
Dear Neil, you make something that is tricky and detailed look like child’s play. Your equipment from the massive & strong bandsaw to the jig for cutting boxing joints is marvellous and looks like it was home made. Well done. I found some seasoned camphor laurel logs to play with. The grain is a bit boring but the smell is amazing.
Such great work in your videos! You are extremely skilled but don’t take yourself too seriously which I appreciate. I do continue to be jealous by the apparent quantity of your scrap wood ;).
I love your videos, your approach, skill, and determination and if you haven't already you should consider exhibiting all your wonderful creations one day. Such a treat to the eye.
i realy enjoy thise scrappwood things. just got started (mostly fecing with tools and edges) but i started looking for reclaimed hardwoods, and thise videos gives me inspiration. Just dismanteled a Teak door, and going to frame some paintings to piss off a exgf. Brilliant content!:)
Man, there's really nothing quite like a simple design executed masterfully. Like, no disrespect towards people challenging themselves with more and more intricate projects, those are awesome by their own right, but there's just a very profound beauty in something so simple done so perfectly. It's like drawing a perfect circle, the premise couldn't be more mundane but achieving it is something people spend their entire lives striving for. (I'm sorry if that comparison sounds _too_ simplistic, I'm a very basic person with basic tastes xD)
Excellent! Thank you very much for your videos. It is also a good idea to incorporate small circular magnetic stops to close the covers. Greetings from Germany.
Amazing how much work goes into a little box! Camphor laurel is known to have an allergic effect on humans, so it is good to see Pask use a respirator to avoid breathing the dust, which has shown to be unhealthy. In fact, dust from many common woods cause health problems and necessitate highly effective masks when cutting or sanding. I guess we are all getting more used to wearing masks everyday and I have been wearing masks in my shop for many years. Safety First!
I saw your vid for the first time and subscribed it instantly like never before. You surely are a "master". Simplicity is the most difficult thing, and you surely have a knack of making it look simple and yet immensely beautiful. God bless you 💐🙏
Wow exellent job , i’m always amazed to see how you make your projects !! I’m almost feeling bad of suggesting you the hinges of Rob Cosman . I think that i prefer by far your way , it cost less and verry functional 👏👏❤️🇨🇦
we can think of 1001 uses of those boxes for our treasured gadgets and tools etc. . thank you for showing this wonderful presentation. cheers

Pask Makes you feel like you could do it without realizing how good he is
It is downright insulting how good pask is.
Right?!
I look at the projects I make with all the sloppy mistakes, and just dream of the day when I've practiced enough to be as good as him.

Yeh, Pask is no master but he does have the gift, more of it than most of us!
@@paulorchard7960 so...do you have a master you can recommend? I mean, I’m blown away by pask, so if he’s no master, then I desperately need to see the work of one.
As someone who loves wood working BUT HAS A CRIPPLING ALLERGY TO ALL THINGS SAWDUST, I love your videos and live vicariously though them. THANK YOU.
Good thing masks are everywhere right now ;)
The hidden hinge at the end is a great teaser, that looks amazing!
👍👍
I usually don't like narration in videos but I love hearing him speak as well as diresta, Franky and the guy who makes rustic benches.
You are really a very, very good master. Watching his videos is a great pleasure.
The scrap wood changes are my favorite part of your channel taking ‘fire wood’ and making awesome from it. I have learned so much over the years of watching.
Holy moly, you make it look SO easy. Really nice!! If only I wasn't born with 10 thumbs. Keep up the good work!

Watching the care and skill that goes into these fills me with respect, but also the realization that I'm very much an engineer and not a craftsman.
I love wooden boxes.. shoot, I love boxes of all types. I would be hard pressed to pick a favorite of those two. They're both beauties and made with such precision and love. Nothing like you see in stores. Beautiful.
my brother from Down Under, your work is always amazing! You give me inspiration.
You are so deserving of the "maker" title. I am so impressed time and time again. Keep blowing our minds Pask!
I am always amazed at what Neil can do with scrapwood & the projects that he comes up with. First class woodworking for sure! 👍👍😉😉

Great craftmanship! I particullarly like the patterns on the sides, made by the joints and dowels.
Hello
One of the best box making videos I have ever seen. Thanks and can’t wait to try out some of your techniques.
Thanks so much 😊
As soon as I hear the intro my body starts dancing and bopping along. Need to get an extended version and whack it up on Spotify
Yeah I reckon some musically talented young person could mix something catchy up with a rock stomping beat. Publish it and get a little more revenue into the Pask creation universe.
That camphor laurel comes up a treat. They’re beautiful, Neil. Watching you make stuff is a genuine voyage of discovery for me. Thank you 🙏🏻
Thanks very much Mandy! :)
That contrast you get with the end grain on the dowel and the box joints looks sharp as heck

First word what popped in my mind when I saw the result was "Amazing". Really enjoyed watching this and thanks for sharing.
I'll be using the two stick trick, thanks for showing some details.
Brilliant! I love the offset tab opener, such a simple design decision that looks so good.
What he said!
Thanks Randy - glad you liked it! :)
Awesome boxes and the hinges BRILLIANT. Great watching master craftsman at work.
U are so talented, brilliant in works, honest to share your secrets.

The box handle idea is great love the different size box joints

Wow, you are so talented. No pun, you definitely think outside the box. Great video.
Out of these two I like the second one most. Nice job!
Yaaay, Scrap Wood Challenge is back. This is my favourite series.

He’s so good the word scrap wood starts with a capital letter!……🥰
Another amazing challenge my friend, beautiful in looks and work. 😉😊
Those are so beautiful! That camphor laurel has a lot of character!
I reckon these turned out excellent! Love how these look and the utility of these little gems.
They are just beautiful and special.
Such great work in your videos! You are extremely skilled but don’t take yourself too seriously which I appreciate. I do continue to be jealous by the apparent quantity of your scrap wood ;).
Your attention to the details are amazing, and the boxes look stunningly beautiful!
RUclips need to add a "Super Thumbs Up" just for videos like this.
Yeah - like a two thumbs up - like Siskel & Ebert used to do.
Isn’t that the subscribe button?

superb, no other word to describe this craftmanship!
These videos are very well made. Deserves more attention.
Cheers, Pask. 💙
I said it before, but I'll say it again: I want that "scrap" wood pile... 😃 Well done!

Not just a masterpiece but also craftable mastering, wow!
I love the tip on making the hinge dowels. I usually use a dowel plate in the traditional way but this was great to see :)
Brilliant builds Neil, great contrast in woods, look great when oiled, can't wait to see the next set!!
2 nice wooden boxes from a great craftsman.
