Welcome to ABA exam review for our behavior analyst review and bcba® study prep. Today we are reviewing the BCBA® task list. Today we continue concepts and principles with B-3 Define and provide examples of respondent and operant conditioning. Respondent conditioning deals with elicited reflexes and is the same as pavlovian conditioning. Operant conditioning deals with learning history, evoked responses, and consequences.

Loving the Office reference!
Yes indeed!
I just passed my test on Monday! #oneanddone I used your study materials and honestly out of everything I used to try and study, your materials, especially the videos, were so helpful. I watched the videos on repeat and was able to use your them to pinpoint areas I needed to focus on when I got mock exam questions wrong. I have been recommending you to my study groups and will continue to utilize your videos as resources. Thank you!
Love the hashtag - so proud of you, Rachel. I know how good you must feel right now! Your hard work paid off. I really appreciate you telling others about our material as well. Enjoy your career, and now it's time to celebrate!!
Can you please explain how consequences select response classes, not individual responses?
Good question. Responses that happen as a result of reinforcement will usually differ, even if slightly, from previous responses, but all these responses will be functionally similar in some way and produce the same consequence. If we want to be very specific, reinforcement increases future frequency of the "type" of behavior that is reinforced. If only the one specific response was increased then the chances of that response going extinction would be much higher as it would be extremely difficult to reinforce the exact topography of a single response each time.
