imo...the advantage to fly with the goggles is significant because you don't have to deal with reflection/direct sunlight and as a result I'm always looking to fly in a shaded area. With the goggles no worries with regards to those concerns. Also, I think it's silly to switch to FPV mode because it's no where near to the real FPV experience and really looks non professional. Get an FPV drone and learn to fly it if you want those type of shots.
You can use the C button to quickly switch the gimbal to FPV mode. Unfortunately, this is a fake FPV mode. Just perform the maneuvers gently and the gimbal tilts very much, as if we were making a sharp turn. In fact, the drone rotates slightly while flying forward.
@@conorstewart2214 Unfortunately, the pseudo fvp mode in DJI is just such an automatic and excessive tilt of the gimbal when you fly right or left and you can still adjust up and down.
Can you use the RC 2 with the Avata 2? Wondering if you could unlock manual mode that way… It’s pretty cool to be able to do this, but I just bought the Avata 2, because once you get the goggles and the controller, the bundle isn’t that much more.

@@MK-Creator I can’t think of any reason they can’t keep the map up on the RC2 either, that could be really handy, you could have the ability to view your route, still use waypoints and change settings but just view the video feed through the goggles. Also can’t the goggles 3 wirelessly broadcast the video to the DJI fly app on a phone, mainly for spectators? The RC2 is essentially just an android phone and it also just uses the DJI fly app and already has wifi, so couldn’t DJI make it so that you can also broadcast the video from the goggles to the RC2? It would be interesting to see if the view can be broadcast like that but with the RC2 not connected to the drone.
@conorstewart2214 I plug in the C to C from my Integra goggles 2 into my cellphone and it displays everything you see in the goggle. Then I screen record to capture sound if I want to narrate. Just here to see if I can use the rc 2 with the googles as I can't figure out how to zoom in using the motion 2 controller. I think they lock you out as flying with the goggles zoomed 4x could be issues having people needing their dji refresh. 🤣
It' was called "airplane" mode in earlier DJI products and no one ever used it. "what's the point?", they said. There were a few of us using the original goggles that got it.
damn i got the goggles and remote that came with original avatar. don't know which they are called. but also got the mini pro 4...are they compatible to do this or do i need to upgrade
What am I doing wrong if I can’t get the RC 2 controller to be recognized. I only get the option to select the motion controller. My goggles 2 connect, but my remote controller won’t work. Is there a software update I need?
So if both the goggles 2 and controler 3 work.with the minipro 4 why buy the Avata 2 with no obstacle acoidance sensors and riak crashing? It would sewm the pro4 qith thise would be safer because I could fly anywhere like through the woods in FPV view mode and not crash. I am looking to buy my first drone and have no experience with either type so certainly I may be missong something. But I have watched a lot of Avata FPV videos and people say you WILL crashbinto things as a newbie, whochbis what I am afraid of because I dont have the budget to replace if I wreck it. The mini4 combo would cost more but if it 😢 a safer bet not to crash, why not? Please let me know if I am understanding this wrong and should juat buy the Avata 2 bundle and chance it.
I'm with you. I don't fly fpv so I decided that I'm better off with a "smart" drone that can simulate it enough for me. I've been using goggles and DJI drones for 6 years and DO NOT like to fly with a cell phone or a tablet screen-BLAH!
The same way as you can do with using only the remote. Of you haven’t changed the settings, take left and right sticks down and to the middle to start the propellers and then just push left stick “up” to take off.
@@MK-Creator because in the remote I just press the button in the screen to take off. I'm going to try to do it like you said. Either way, I tried to do it like you did, take off then connect the goggles, that way it worked 😅 Thank you
It is wrong to think that Mini 4 pro is an FPV drone :( One accident and the drone is broken!!! A scooter is not a racing motorcycle :) Ps. The observer should be standing next to the pilot, not somewhere on the horizon.

I thought it just locked the gimbal in the roll axis so that it matches the drones roll but still controls the gimbals pitch?

Can i use dji mini 3 pro with dji rc1 and goggles 2 without using motion control?
What about using the goggles 3 with the RC2 on the DJI Neo?
Thanks for the awesome video.
Thank you! 🙏😃
can we use in vertical with goggles ?
Be nice if the DJI N3 Goggles worked with the Mini 4 pro. 8(
dji air 3S support googles 3 all ?
Great!!!! This video helped me figure out my purchase!!
That is so amazing. I’m so happy that I could help out.
Highly recommend the wide-angle lens for fun flying when an FPV mode on the Mini 4 Pro, feels a whole lot different.
Is it possible to use it with rc-n2?
There is control option in goggles as well, no need to disconnect and go to rc 2
Great video! I learned some valuable info from it. I am subscribing for more!

with a sub 250g drone, the LOS rule is a "should", not a "must" like all rules except the "Dont be an idiot" rule 900.09

You can ajusted fpv mode on the goggle only motion controller connect if not always use the rc controller to adjust and the connect the goggle
I use my mini 3 pro with FPV mode alot it's fun. I'am in Ottawa where do you fly
Awesome! How about RC3 controller with the mini 4 Pro?
If you find one try one…🤩
I don't understand the difference between normal view and FPV view.
The drone seemed to lean when turning when he enabled FPV mode instead of just rotating left or right.

Does obstacle avoidance still work in FPV mode?
