I must have a super rare pair. No drop outs, better clarity (of course) than the v2s. Love the fit, would love to see them mod it to flip up. Use the cameras all the time in 2d mode.
How many flights have you put on them so far? I haven’t had any dropouts but definitely a few stutters. DJI usually works out these firmware issues. I remember the early days of the original air unit and the o3, the thing would failsafe or lose video regularly.
I didn't know dji generation gate their hardware. Was hoping to use them with the neo and upgrading to 5 or 6 pro when it releases. Good to know, I'll gonna hold back for now.

@@anthony-friskettiphoto1008 Cameras aren't bad. I was able to walk over and pick up the drone after a crash without removing the goggles. They just need to reduce the zoom level and it will be awesome.

Hey buddy. With the O3 you need to get some sort of device that will trick the air unit into going into its fully armed state, otherwise it will not reach full power and give you low range. @@Mangorille Air 3? The list of functions unavaileable when paired with those googles is shocking. This thing is dangerous to fly with those googles - no map view, no obstacles sensors view, VERY limited video and photos options. It simply sucks.
The latency is the same. Madstech saw that 5ms difference on his first test and then he could not reproduce it. All the rest he did afterwards resulted in the same latency.

@@jasongiddings8629 I've done right turns before but it just feels unnatural. I also try to split S from the left and right but I have to consciously think about it. You're right, that's when you usually end up crashing more.
I suspect it has to do with the whole black screen / loss of signal issue some people are reporting. Sounds like a bug in the o3 side of the firmware. Hopefully gets resolved by DJI soon!

DJI is starting to remind me of EA Sports. They made some amazing stuff back in the day, but in a lot of ways, they seem to be moving backwards, not forward. The Goggles V2 are still my favorite, and give me so much more flexibility. Build the Goggles V2 again, and make them better, not worse. Call them Goggles V3.
DJI has their moment like the o3, that thing was quite the technical feat. Right now it feels like we’re at the point of incremental gains. Theyre still the best in the market though.

You have to admit, every Goggle after the V2 has been rushed and missing things that its predecessors had. They would blow people away if they made a Goggles V3 that expanded on the features of the V2, and matched the compatibility of the Goggles 3. Be honest, how can a company make a $500 product that doesn't have a replaceable battery. That's like me having to buy a new car when the stock tires wear out. Or having to pay the manufacturer a premium to put the same tires back on the car, all while being without it for weeks. Ridiculous!
@@JefeDog They're a company that seems to design obsolescence into their product. I found this first hand with the FPV Controller 2. So happy I moved over to a dedicated controller and link now (ELRS).
@@Mangorille I was new to the drone world when I bought my first DJI. I put my drones to the test and DJI is very durable and resilient. I won’t be going anywhere else anytime soon.
@@GTR886 The Goggle 3 and Integra have a built in GPS that can work with the Remote ID system but the drone still needs to support it. The O3 doesn't have GPS and doesn't support remote ID, there's no way for the O3 to transmit its location. There was a post about remote ID and O3 on the DJI forum a while back.
Those googles sucks on Air 3/ Air 3S. Be aware! The amount of functions that become unavailable when those googles are pair with Air 3 / Air 3S is just SHOCKING! No map, no obstacle sensors view and the list is longer and longer...
I've been following the issues but so far I haven't experienced it first hand. I continue to fly the Goggles 3 in low risk flying while I wait to see if it happens to me or for DJI to address. No one seems to know under what kind of circumstances the issue happens.
@@Danpokerman The videos I've seen on the DJI Forums look like the disconnect happens shortly after you see the connection become a bit weak. I didn't have this happen yet even in this video where you see the mbps drop, it doesn't disconnect. Very weird behavior and definitely shakes your confidence in the system.

The stuttering is really quite bad with the g3 imo. Can really fuck you up if you mainly fly freestyle. Otherwise hated comfort and viewing experience of g2 and g3 is way better.
Glad I'm not the only one feeling more stuttering with the Googles 3. It wasn't terrible but definitely more noticeable than on the Goggles 2. Fingers crossed we get a new firmware soon that resolves this.

They historically have been, they seem to support just one generation back and then they end of life the product.

I’ve heard some isolated reports of this but hasn’t happened to me yet. I just had a few more noticeable stutters than what I saw on the Goggles 2.
Just had a update, it might be the app fw update, causing this vid drop out, all OK if updated fw by pc method

Been told to refresh the fw ,as dji have backdoored a fix into fw so they don't have to publish a bug

Too many errors on signal loss with the goggle 3 and the o3 air unit.
My experience so far is that it works okay, but definitely some kinks that hopefully DJI will resolve.
