Those dual 21 db linear patch antennas really helped here. I’m going for a slightly different approach on my next WalkSnail long range test. 😊I’m going to try a directional patch antenna on one of the antenna ports for the v1 vtx and use my 12 turn helical and one triple feed patch array for the vrx.
@ I was prepared to lose the link when I started to fly back. I would just hit RTH with Inav. Anyways I did try it and my bitrate was all over the place. Never was stable flying out and I had less range than with an omnidirectional antenna. Still worth the experiment.
Furtherest I've got so far with my quad is 22000feet (about 7km) that was with a dji air2. I was wondering how the heck this video was possible then I saw the wings :)
Thing about your quad Flying in a field near you. Then take a car and ride away. Your quad Is in the same scenario and nothing changed of you are there or 100km away 😅 the problem Is the autonomy and the rc and video links
Holy cow 21db antenna 😮! Wow incredible range, subbed 🎉😊 as a walksnail user a question when to turn back home: signal 0 to 1, 1-2mbps is a sign to go home and not even further? I've recently been at signal 1-2 with 12mbps. Wasn't brave enough to push. Walksnail seems to be capable to go even further i guess? Thanks mate 😊
I saw flights over 50km... However It Is really unstable from 7 to 1mbps. The good thing Is walksnail recconect really fast in event of connection Lost.
Hii.u doing amazing..wish can get it someday..hahah wanna ask about the antenna -you using 2 large "linear" 21 dbi antenna with 2 LHCP true 2x 14dbi, pair with 2 linear antenna on plane..my question is, did the LHCp-2x 14dbi antenna on ground station"correct if im wrong"--will help to extend the range?linear vs linear"VTX", linear+LHCP vs linear"vtx".
Honestly. I don't know 😅 i Just put every High db antennas i have on the vrx. The most important One Is on the right side of the vtx (the only One that can TX and RX). However i found an improvment using better antennas on at least another connector.
@@AlexJaniashvili as you can see in the osd i have a Compass and also an harrow (bottom left) that indicates the home direction. Also the big river was easy to follow
@@emare11 I still don't understand. To my knowledge there is no 18650 Li-Ion cell offering a capacity of 7000 mAh and a reasonable current. Can you please give me a hint and tell me/all of us what Brand/Type and model of 18650 cells you are using? Thanks a lot.
You can get 1 hour of flight time with a 5Ah battery. Even more with high quality and effiecient components. This is a fixed wing if you didn‘t know, so it is generally more efficient. Depends on the size of the wing but you can fit some 8Ah batteries in some, so expect 90 minutes of flight time. This is walksnail which you can get reaaalllyy far. People have gotten 130km away with analog and ground station, but I think this one is a ground station as well.
With this configuration of video link i think 60/65 Is the maximum possibile in best conditions. Maybe with some amplifier ... I'll test It i'm Just waiting some connectors..
People don't know it, but Walksnail beats DJI. WS VRX allows people to fly from inside a building. DJI doesn't have that, and everyone using DJI is exposed outside cold or hot or rain.
@@X862go what I understand from his statement is : WS sells separate VTx, so you can stay indoor with monitor/goggles and the VTx can be mounted outside.

Entro i 10km è perfetto sotto ogni aspetto

So... Are you going ti use a direction antenna on One side of the vtx output? How do you think It could work when you are going ti change direction?

The distance measurement just of the Walksnail VTX at the bottom is surprisingly accurate.
