I watch your updates multiple times, Caroline, because your voice and demeanor are just so calming. I wish we could all have a Caroline in our lives. ❤
So glad to see that Paul is on fluids, but Caroline, you're looking tired. Maybe Paul's brother could give you a break, because you are subject to burn-out and you need to take care of yourself as well! You need some alone time to take a breather and recharge your batteries. Prayers for you and Paul. 🙏🙏 xx
If everyone had a friend like you, Caroline, the world would be a much kinder place ❤ Paul, you're most certainly taking steps in the right direction. No wonder you're feeling tearful. You've been through another ordeal and surely, your mind and your body must be feeling the stress of that. Wishing you continued healing and strength ❤
Good news about the drain removal and change of diet. My mum's mum had care of me from 6months to 1 year old. We used to sing Scottish songs together, our favourite one was "well you canna throw your Granny off the bus, no you canna throw your Granny off the bus, you canna throw your Granny, cause she's your Mammy's Mammy, no you canna throw your Granny off the bus". It's funny the things that stick with you over the years.
Caroline, you my dear are a such a wonderful angel. Thank you for taking care of Paul. Praying Paul keeps getting better. Heavenly Father please keep your caring arms on Paul, continue to watch over Paul and Caroline Always ❤🙏🙏🙏❤️
I have been in your place Caroline when looking after my brother. Please if you are not getting counseling. please consider it. It helped me so much to talk to someone who was not directly involved with what was happening and I could say what I felt and no be judged. You are doing an amazing job. Paul has got a good friend in you. My brother described me to other people as his rock. I only found out this after he died. He was my friend and brother I miss him so much. Take care.
I don’t know what Paul would do without you Caroline. Thank you for being such a Loyal Friend to Paul. You are the reason I truly believe. My grandmother drank Dr. Pepper ( that’s when they were in bottles) us grandchildren w ere always told “ do not drink my Dr. Pepper, or I’ll get you. Sooo, of course that’s what we had to do ( my male cousin was an instigator) he would sneak a couple bottles, about the time he popped the caps off and we each got a sip, here came grandmother after us with her cane. I can still see that image talking about it. Lol
Baby steps for Paul. Each one cherished, and all in the right direction ❤ Thank you, Caroline. Your calm, caring updates mean so much. You're both in my thoughts and prayers 🙏🤗❤️
Stay strong Paul and Caroline❤ Thank you for your update as always. I'm glad to hear he's progressing in a more positive direction. As someone who spent weeks upon weeks in hospital attached to a TPN, those short walks were sanity savers. I'm recovering now from a pulmonary embolism after surgery #29 last month.
Good to see the Paul we know starting to appear. You’re always in our thoughts I bet you can’t wait to go home. Take care and love to Caroline. You are blessed to have a friend like her. Good vibes as usual from the Isle of Wight UK
This was a cheery update and so happy to hear Paul is progressing quite well :) You are such a wonderful friend Caroline and cover all Pauls news perfectly ! Thankyou . I remember my Grandmother drinking the occasional ( so she told us ) warm milk and brandy and was adamant in saying it was medicinal and very good for you LOL . Please give Paul our best ..my wife and I are praying for him and you also Caroline . Blessings
My grandmother always wrapped up all the silver in the house and stashed it under the bed whenever there was a thunderstorm! She was a concert pianist and violinist who was also trained in opera. I thought she was a little scary. I'm delighted and relieved to see Paul doing so well and wish you both a smooth road ahead! ❤
Oh I LOVED that story about your grandma Caroline! Good on her! I know when my Grandma was getting old she told us that she did not want any of us to wear black at her funeral; just wear bright colours she said! You should have seen what we all turned up in. Vibrant amazing colours LOL. It was a great celebration of her life and not sad at all. Thankyou for all the updates that you do Caroline. I hope that you are looking after your own mental health and taking care of your self as this must also be a pretty stressful (understatement) time for you too. Hugs and love, Deb from Perth.
Thank you again Caroline for the update and for being such a beautiful and loving soul. Baby steps will soon become big strides, so keep going Paul! Each milestone you achieve is taking you closer to going home….. ❤
Stress can come with no gut biome and he probably doesn't have any at all what with all the ops and chemo he's had. He's looking so much better. Thank you so much for the updates. 😍
Thanks for the update. That is good news. Being able to eat real food and move more freely is huge. Nobody knows how hard this all is unless they have been through it. It is tough. Sending love and wishing you a speedy recovery from this point on.
Paul you look good! Hope you get more sunshine, fresh air and yes, avocados!! So glad you are recovering and am doing an excellent job! Love yourself as we love you.
Glad to hear from you. Paul is lucky to have someone who understands him so well Caroline. It's helping me understand myself and the " crying/teary process". Paul and I are so much a like emotionally. No one has ever stuck around long enough with me to be able to see patterns like you do with Paul. Thank you both. Love you both. Emily H. 🐰
Paul, You and your dear wife is a inspiration. I was in high care for 6 months with almost 100% similar procedures and eating, drains, catheters etc. I was so weak that I had lots of fisio to be able to walk. Eating was the worst. I could not eat. Every thing I ate made me nauseous. I lived on essentiale and vitathion. There is one thing the ICU dr told me. I will not be the same in 1 day. It is going to be a long uphill battle but I will get there. I did get there and I let my body lead me as to what I can and cannot do. Listen to your body. ❤
my gran in the 70s had diabetes and wasnt allowed oranges everytime i visited i was only about 7or 8 she said wanna splita cheeky orange with me, i always call oranges cheeky now, lol she was 78, she passed when i was 21, xxx
Caroline, you are ridiculously adorable! Thank you for giving us, essentially, only good news, it makes me so happy. Your interpretation of why Paul is crying now is on the money and very wise. I had a grandfather named Ben, he studied the Talmud, one of the last truly religious people in our family. He was a bit stern but always loving. I remember sitting in his lap- he always carried those oval sugar coated lemon drops in his pocket and gave them to us kids every time we saw him. He passed away when I was 9 or so- too soon, as did my other grandfather. My grandmothers' lived longer- I used to walk home from school and stop at my grandmother's house and help teach her to write in English as Yiddish was her native language. We would watch soaps :) and write letters. Thank you for reminding me of my grandparents. They all were immigrants, and I wouldn't be here without them! Give Paul a huge hug from me and the same to you. The world is better with you both in it. xo
All the best Paul and Caroline. Thanks for the updates, and I'm so pleased that Paul is getting there, even if the pace is slower than desired. Sending love from the UK.
so awesome to see that smile, mate, keep up that positive energy, Paul we are so grateful for you and your spirit, you'll be back in no time, and it is a blessing you still are with us, never too old to keep living man, keep up the fight and get well! And yes, thank you as ALWAYS, Caroline :) ❤🌟👍🥰💐🎈🙏🤜🥾⬇👍👍🙂
Glad for your recovery Paul, it’s been a journey with a bit to go yet…wishing you well & that you can come home soon. What a wonderful friend Caroline is, she’s worth her weight in gold! My grandfather, who was born in 1899 (long gone now) suspected his neighbour was stealing his firewood, so put a stick of gelignite into a piece of wood. Boom! 💥 Bet he didn’t take anymore! 🤭
Glad things are improving! It must be such a relief to have the drain removed and it’s wonderful to see Paul looking so much better. Thanks for all you do Caroline. You are an amazing friend!
Fantastic news! Paul has been such a trooper. I believe much of his strength comes from your support Caroline and secondly, support from online viewers. Definitely he's receiving wonderful messages. Love and prayers to you both. ❤ 🙏
Look at those fluids Paul! That's the same diet they've had me in for a long while. Then 5 weeks I ago I got a very nasty fungal infection in my mouth and esophagus. I was going to ask about your Cymbalta but Caroline answered that. Great to hear your newest health report. I pray that the financial help eases your burdens. Much love, United States (Illinois).

Thank you so very much for the update on our Paul. He is overwhelmed that's all. He is realizing that his life has been spared once again. Glad he is going back on his antidepressant. Sweet Caroline, you are a shining star. Once again, I am so glad you are there for him. You give wonderful informative updates. My mamaw was the only grandparent I can remember. She lived w us. We were buddies and did everything together. I was only 6 when she passed away. I sure did/do miss her. I didn't understand the concept of death and I thought for the longest time that she would be back. My mother said I saw her everywhere. She enjoyed a nip @ night also. No special concoctions. She would take brandy in a coffee cup & we would have a jewelry party in bed. Thanks for sharing. See you next update. Love & Hugs to you and Paul from MD US.
The healing process can be slow. You both have been through a lot. I will continue to pray for you both ❤ Thank you for all you do Caroline. Taking care of Paul & providing us updates. You are definitely his rock & saving grace. Such a blessing! Hugs to you both.
Good to see Paul making progress. He's done so well. And thank you Caroline, for all the updates on his progression. You're excellent at it too. Very calm and reassuring. Thanks again. Welcoming you back to Perth soon ❤️
Two wonderful friends. Keep healing Paul. Hugs Caroline! Wisconsin has begun its fall season here. Leaves are changing colors on the trees and the evenings have a chill in the air. I have a friend not much into nature who says she knows fall is here when pumpkin spice lattes are on the menu at Starbucks.😂 Have a great Sunday!
So glad he’s on the path to recovery. I can definitely relate to the stress of not being able to eat what you want and waiting to get even clear liquids and having tubes everywhere. I have Crohn’s disease and have had bowel surgeries and had to go many weeks with no food many times. When I got the clear liquid diet that broth was like steak and potatoes I couldn’t believe how quick I got full. I can definitely understand why he’s so emotional and that’s ok. He will be out of there in no time. He’s such a fighter and has come so far. So keep on going Paul also Caroline you are an amazing woman. My granny is super sassy and does what she wants she’s 75 and has better health than me and my mom put together. Grandparents are amazing ❤
Baby steps Paul, it's not a race... allow your confidence to slowly rebuild. I'm glad things for you are improving. Thanks for another update Caroline.
❤❤❤❤ we all need a Caroline in our corner to advocate for us, Caroline please never underestimate how much your support has helped Paul, Paul you are a courageous gentleman and I hope once you your antidepressants start working your healing will speed up, you both are remarkable individuals and the world is a better place with you both in it x❤❤❤❤
Thank you, Caroline, for the update. Good to see a little of Paul. Nice to see him smiling and on the mend. Glad the hole has finally repaired. Onwards and upwards my man ❤❤ xxx
I am so glad Paul is feeling better. I must say, Carolyn, you are an amazing friend ( I am sure Paul is an amazing friend to you as well) and I love listening to your updates, you have a relaxing, soothing voice. I wish I had a Carolyn. ☺️
Weird/funny Grandparent stories: 1) Whenever I went shopping with my maternal grandmother, I would invariably see her suddenly look around and start sprinting towards/past me. That was the cue to change aisles because she had just farted 😂 2)My granddad was an amateur radio operator, and i ended up getting my license for it at age 12. To my shock, one day he told me that he had talked to a guy in Australia! We live in Atlanta! He said that he would crank the transmitter all the way up. That’s a no-no, but he didn't know that. Sure enough, every tree that his antenna touched - about a dozen, in a straight line back into the woods - was dead. So, in Stone Mountain, Georgia, there is still a row of dead, irradiated trees ☢️ 3) My paternal grandmother had worked next to Elvis before he was famous. She was always terribly mean to him, when he was always polite to her. Years later, she was a massive fan and obsessed with him. Eventually, my grandmother found the woman that she and Elvis had worked for years earlier, and she knew that the woman was still in contact with Elvis. She begged the woman to help her meet Elvis, but the woman said "No, because you were mean to him." and walked away. My grandmother told that story countless times, and it always made me happy because she was mean to me, too 🙃 And what a momentous week! So excited for y'all! And it makes complete sense that the tears are Paul's body trying to release the trauma. Hugs and smooches! 🤍🕊🙏🐇
Hi Paul and family, I stumbled across your journey completely by accident by looking for information regarding a fix in my car. After seeing another video, I saw your channel and viewed your journey. Hoping for much health and a swift recovery for Paul, or how we say in Hebrew (רפואה שלמה).❤ Your videos and all subjects (mechanical and ontological) are great!
It has een rough 3 weeks since my surgery with a lot of abdominal swelling, midline incision "exploding" due to the pressure and infection of the abdominal wall but thoughts of you and how you manage has helped me in staying strong and holding on to the importance of perseverance. Thank you for sharing your journey. Best wishes and much love to both you and Caroline.
This thumbnail pic is so lovely.❤️Fingers crossed that Paul is phyically and mentally improving day by day, so that you are able to head home soon. As always much love Bettina
Fingers are (and have been) crossed for some time now. I think of you both often and wonder what each new day will bring for Paul. While he is still building his strength, it's helpful to follow behind him with an empty wheelchair just in case he suddenly needs to stop and sit down on his walkabouts. I'm glad to hear that the antidepressants have now been okayed to be added back to Paul's regimen. Caroline, as always, thank you for these updates. Until the next update, you both are wished a calm and medically uneventful week. Take care...❤ Thelma (USA)
Thank you Caroline. A lot of good news there... The UTI is not surprise after introducing fluids, everything must start filtering again. Hoping this week goes well for you both. Hugs from 🇨🇦
Grandparents are a great blessing. My Grandpa Fred Judd got married for the third time (his first wife Amy passed away when she was 56, it hit me last year when I turned the same age, we beliebe endometrial cancer was probably her primary one, but detection of cancers was not as good back then and it had spread everywhere, my mum had it about 10 years ago, and I was diagnosed with it in 2019, Amy passed away 3 weeks before I was born). Grandpa Judd married a second time, unfortunately he lost Gwen to cancer, but they were a very loving couple. So when he announced he was getting married to my uncles wifes mother, we all thought it was great. So to the funny storys... their wedding was lovely, my dad married them (he's a Uniting Church minister, retired now at 86) and mum (his daughter) played tge organ. I heard dad in the little church vestry muttering to himself.. it's dad and Daisy, notdad and Dave over and over. He made it through the service and didn't stuff it up lol. Second bit... by this stage both grandpa and Daisy had all false teeth. Not long into their married life they sat down to have breakfast and as they started eating their porridge they looked at each other and said somethings not right. Then they realised they both had the wrong dentures in. Grandpa had put a matching glass in the bathroom for hers to go in at night, next to his lol. Sadly he lost her to diabetes complications after only a few years. But the few years they had together were great. He lived into his 90's and my dads grandfather lived till nearly 102, and both his parents made it to 101 and 103. On a side note... comiserations on UTI's. I scored one from having a catheter in duringba 7 week hospital stint back in 2011, I'm told every time I got out of bed I fell over and I couldn't get up and I suspect their solution was to remove the need for me to need to get to the loo lol. My poor teenage nephew visited me in tge 4 bed ward whike I was waiting for a bed in St Vincents Neurosciences ward in melb and apoarently I told him there cockateils under the bed opposite me and that freaked him out lol. After being flown down there and tge problems being diagnosed thankfully I gradually got my brain back lol. It takes time and patience to get back to normal... I hope you can get back on the AD 's soon. One baby step at a time...
Hello, Fellow Warriors! Glad to hear of more progress. I know you will be able to go home soon. My grandmother was funny as could be-I’ll have to come up with some good stories for you. Meanwhile, love to you both!❤
Thankyou for the update and so pleased to see the smiles. You both are true warriors. Sending all my care from New Zealand. .. and my grandparent … my Nana. Made toffee for us kids as littlies. Made the best shortbread I have never been able to replicate. Grandparents are indeed very special.
Wonderful video 🏆❤ paul please dont fret about producing car videos and others - these videos are of the highest spritual and human quality that we are grateful to you and Caroline for ❤ love that you cherish your grandmothers sayings Caroline - as requested here is an anecdote about my Great Granma Dennington " GranGran" she had a large black handbag and made us laugh our heads off when we were little by always having afresh white envelope in there - she would tear half moons out of the envelope flap so that they had envelope glue along the flat side then she would luck the glue and press the half moons on to her eyelids so that they looked like comic dolly bird false eye lashes and she would flutter her eyes about and pose like a dame in them whilst we fell about laughing ! It cost nothing but she always took an envelope , on buses or wherever and if she came upon a mother trying to sooth an upset child she would do this and crying turned to stunned silence into amazement then smiles then laughter 💕
I'm so glad he has you as his very thoughtful special friend , you are his amazing advocate and cheerleader through it all and his best friend ! Prayers at this time for speedy recovery!
Thank you for your update. Continued prayers. Btw my grandfather would have a small glass of milk with a shot of whiskey. 😂😂😂 He said, " it is my nerve tonic." 😊😊😊
A couple years ago my hospital gave me a private room because the nurse in charge new I wasn't having a good week and on top of it a family member passed away and I couldn't leave to go be with the family nurses are amazing ❤
Paul we love you so much we’re here waiting on you to fully recover, you will I feel it in my heart!! Good for your Grandma...we love you Caroline. Of course Paul is a pretty nice man. Prayers to you both. This has been quite a journey. You looked good today, Paul. Please be carefull, soon you will be doing any bloody thing you want. Love to you both.
Sweet Caroline, you are a blessing. Your words are thoughtful and kind and truly appreciated. Some days can be hard I know, with no energy left to write notes or take care of yourself, but you appear to be handling this with love and caring. I am fortunate to have kind of the same situation with my ex, after 30 years apart, I love him dearly and would do anything I could for him. Take care of yourself, we often forget to, and know you are loved! Paul is doing fabulous by the way.❤
Many could do with the love and support from a friend like Caroline. Some of the best things in life are indeed free!
I watch your updates multiple times, Caroline, because your voice and demeanor are just so calming. I wish we could all have a Caroline in our lives. ❤

It's nice to see another update and very glad to hear the perforation in the stomach has closed up.

So wonderful to see how wonderful you look. Continued healing and prayers being sent for you and Caroline.
The healing process can be slow. You both have been through a lot. I will continue to pray for you both ❤ Thank you for all you do Caroline. Taking care of Paul & providing us updates. You are definitely his rock & saving grace. Such a blessing! Hugs to you both.
It’s wonderful that you are such an informed and caring advocate for Paul. Kudos to you! Paul, keep on keeping on!!
Good to see Paul making progress. He's done so well. And thank you Caroline, for all the updates on his progression. You're excellent at it too. Very calm and reassuring. Thanks again. Welcoming you back to Perth soon ❤️
What a pair of beautiful souls you both are ❤
Two wonderful friends.
You look so much better Paul!❤ And Caroline thanks for all the updates!❤
❤❤❤❤ we all need a Caroline in our corner to advocate for us, Caroline please never underestimate how much your support has helped Paul, Paul you are a courageous gentleman and I hope once you your antidepressants start working your healing will speed up, you both are remarkable individuals and the world is a better place with you both in it x❤❤❤❤
Thank you, Caroline, for the update. Good to see a little of Paul. Nice to see him smiling and on the mend. Glad the hole has finally repaired. Onwards and upwards my man ❤❤ xxx
You're so lucky Paul to have a friend like Caroline. She is a true friend, indeed! Stay blessed, both of you.
Wow Paul has come a long way, can't imagine going through that without being emotional. Praying for a full recovery 🙏🏻 ❤🙏🏻
Amazingly beautiful news. 🙋♀️💐💐💐🌻
Way to go Paul! From across the Pond..love you both❤
Fingers and toes crossed that you will be heading home real soon! Sending love and hugs to you both xx
I am so glad Paul is feeling better. I must say, Carolyn, you are an amazing friend ( I am sure Paul is an amazing friend to you as well) and I love listening to your updates, you have a relaxing, soothing voice. I wish I had a Carolyn. ☺️
Weird/funny Grandparent stories:
1) Whenever I went shopping with my maternal grandmother, I would invariably see her suddenly look around and start sprinting towards/past me. That was the cue to change aisles because she had just farted 😂
2)My granddad was an amateur radio operator, and i ended up getting my license for it at age 12. So, in Stone Mountain, Georgia, there is still a row of dead, irradiated trees ☢️
3) My paternal grandmother had worked next to Elvis before he was famous. My grandmother told that story countless times, and it always made me happy because she was mean to me, too 🙃
And what a momentous week! So excited for y'all! And it makes complete sense that the tears are Paul's body trying to release the trauma. Hugs and smooches! 🤍🕊🙏🐇
Those are some great stories! Thanks for sharing! 😄
@@jenny_rice Aw, thank you, Jenny! 🤗🥰
Paul you are looking good. And you are so lucky to have Caroline. Be well my friend and as always you are in my thoughts and prayers. ❤️🙏🏻🇺🇸
Hi Paul and family,
I stumbled across your journey completely by accident by looking for information regarding a fix in my car.
After seeing another video, I saw your channel and viewed your journey.
Hoping for much health and a swift recovery for Paul, or how we say in Hebrew
(רפואה שלמה).❤
Your videos and all subjects (mechanical and ontological) are great!
Thank you Caroline. Please take care of yourself. Sending much love and light to you both✨
It has een rough 3 weeks since my surgery with a lot of abdominal swelling, midline incision "exploding" due to the pressure and infection of the abdominal wall but thoughts of you and how you manage has helped me in staying strong and holding on to the importance of perseverance. Thank you for sharing your journey. Best wishes and much love to both you and Caroline.
Awww Paul, bless you sweetheart. Onwards and upwards now xx 🙏💐😉
Great to see you Paul ❤
This thumbnail pic is so lovely.❤️Fingers crossed that Paul is phyically and mentally improving day by day, so that you are able to head home soon.
As always much love
Bettina
Fingers are (and have been) crossed for some time now. I think of you both often and wonder what each new day will bring for Paul. While he is still building his strength, it's helpful to follow behind him with an empty wheelchair just in case he suddenly needs to stop and sit down on his walkabouts. I'm glad to hear that the antidepressants have now been okayed to be added back to Paul's regimen. Caroline, as always, thank you for these updates. Until the next update, you both are wished a calm and medically uneventful week. Take care...❤

❤thank you for your update Caroline. Lots of love and prayers of healing for Paul. Blessings love Toni in Cape town South Africa 😊
Thanks Misty. I loved the bit where your Grandpa and Daisy wore each other's dentures. Too funny! Paul.
Hello, Fellow Warriors! Glad to hear of more progress. I know you will be able to go home soon. My grandmother was funny as could be-I’ll have to come up with some good stories for you. Meanwhile, love to you both!❤

Grazie per l'aggiornamento. Un grosso abbraccio dall'Italia ❤
Oh that's fabulous! ❤
I love it! I'm smiling now from your story. What a fabulous woman!
