GRATEFUL GRATEFUL GRATEFUL!!!! 🙌🏽 Thank you Sean, there are no words to express how thankful I am for you. My home is the brick home next door and that was my daughter you were speaking with. I came home in awe, thinking the city had finally come out to clean (I should have known better🤦🏽♀️) My daughter told me what happened and how this amazing man came out and cleaned up everything. I've been contacting the city all summer and nothing has happened. My daughter and I have been so nervous coming in and out of the house especially since I've been sick. Our entire neighborhood is so appreciative. Sean, you are such a beautiful soul. Many blessings upon you and your family 🙏🏽 Thank you again ❤
Thank you so so much for leaving a comment! Your daughter was just so sweet and appreciative. It was an honor to be there and help you both out. Much love!!
You must be so relieved, it must have been so frustrating, how the city council has allowed this is beyond me. My first time watching, this young man did an amazing job. Thanks for your post. 👍
What gets me if it's a land bank house, whatever that means, why not clean the property up, renovate the house and sell it, and the land bank keeps the money and does the next house.
Sean the reason we watch you is because you go the extra mile on making a property look so much better. The repairs and the stump clearing just makes your channel a standout. Those of us who have watched you from the beginning knew there would be a disgusting toilet you would deal with. Aces Dude!
It looks amazing , I’ve watched you since you started your channel and I knew you were going to do amazing work!! God bless you, you have a big heart, stay safe . 🙏
Sean, I’m a 77 year old widow. I’ve watched very many of your RUclips videos. I throughly enjoy watching you and have even purchased a few items to try to make my yard better. I’ve decided when I grow up, I’ll do exactly what you’re doing!❤
I know! I'm a widow also, 74 years old. I live in the mountains and most of everything is hilly. I need small tools like I see Shaws using..Money, money
I'm 76 and a widow also. I will never grow up. I still get out and do all my yard work, well with the exception on climbing on the roof to trim tree limbs. lol. I have an acre to take care of so you know how much time that takes. Even purchased a battery operated chain saw as there is load of shrubs I need to cut down. Unfortunately right now as I've had back operation, but it won't be long. If heart surgery didn't keep me down for long, this isn't going to either. Good luck on growing up.
I was thinking it would be nice to have the back of your orange shirts say something like "neighbors helping neighbors" so that people know you are a helper, not from the city or any agency. You are truly an amazing human!!!!
I was thinking the same thing. I thought how many other guys would have cleaned out that garage and even blown out all the dirt? And yes, the toilet and the dead raccoon were above and beyond. Not to take anything away from Sean, this is what OCD does. It pushes us. I did many jobs when I was in HS and college where I pushed myself to a perfectionist level because of my OCD. When I was 17 and working in a factory for the summer, I had 2-3 people come over to me and tell me not to work so hard. I look back now and laugh about it.
hey bullshit bros i know a lot of lawn care persons who would do that so never say that no one take care of that .turn your tongue seven times in your mouth before saying crap !!!!!
Sean, I am a 75 year old lady, and instead of watching the cooking channel, I love to watch your program. My family thinks I am crazy. I love the work you do and how you do it. Many blessings
Thank you for saying that. Makes soooo much sense. That's me. Always attention to detail. ( why they hate " conspiracy theorists,) which the reason deep state created the term. To dissuade us from looking up truth for our own discernment. Truth is not spoonfed. It has to be researched individually, because it has been hidden from us.
Ace Hardware should sponsor you for all the free publicity from you using their lawn bags so much! The neighbors are probably so grateful that that dead raccoon smell is gone. They likely couldn't open their windows along the drive for a long time. Good work, Sean.
Sean is polite. He blames OCD so he doesn’t offend people that don’t go the extra mile it’s because he’s ambitious and of course if something doesn’t look right, we all have that sense but some people just don’t care enough or have the ambition to make it a little better or a lot better just like putting your tools away. Everything has a place and if you put it away when you’re done guess what you never have to look for anything because it’s where it belongs but you are right.Sean is a cut above.
Being a perfectionist is not the same as a pessimistic worrier who can't do what needs to get done because the job is too overwhelming. OCD is a serious "disorder". Wanting things to look nice is a small step down from wanting everything perfect, and being a perfectionist isn't being pessimistic. But smelling a dead raccoon is something a normal person takes time to formulate a plan for cleanup. Having all the tools a regular person doesn't, tho, is an added responsibility.
Shame on the council for just leaving it like that. Luckily for the residents, Sean is there to save the day. God bless you for all the hard work you put in to these cleanups.
Here's what I come back for weekly. You don't judge who's worthy of help or who's not. You don't stop to ask who should have done what but didn't. You just say, "Here's a job that needs to be done, and I'm able to do it." Then you do it with a smile. Thank you!
Yeah, this attitude is what keeps me going back to a channel. As much as I love a good transformation, I get irked very quickly if I spot the creator of the videos being condescending or disrespectful to the people they claim to help. There are really some people out there who shamelessly use the suffering of others for content, and it also shows in their comment sections filled with contemptuous remarks towards the people in need of help. Sean really seems to simply be filling his needs for safety, order/cleanliness, movement and contribution (maybe those aren't exact, they are my best guesses), while finding a way to make it sustainable.
It was nice that the neighbor came over to tell you how much she appreciated your lawn and clean up care. Kudos to you, Sean, for dealing with that nasty toilet and the dead raccoon. You’re a blessing to the neighbors.🩵🤍🩵
That is literally beyond words. Restoring safety to the neighbors is immeasurable. I’m guessing the property values increased with this eyesore clean up. Bravo, Sean!! Well done doesn’t begin to cover what you did there. Many blessings to you!! 🎉
I think Detroit needs about 1000 more neighborhood angels like Sean! Imagine what the city's neighborhoods would look like if there were neighborhood "watchers" who actually did some volunteer work without the promise of $$:)
Appreciate Sean taking care of the dead animal, I do a lot of flower gardens at home. Once or twice a year find a dead rabbit or something. Bury it in the lawn or underneath a tree
That young woman next door is a sweet gal. She really appreciated that clean-up. Now, she can feel a lot safer. Great job, as always. Have a fantastic week. ❤❤❤😊
I hope maybe in the real wintertime she might be able to put her car in that Garage for protection, and benefit from Sean's work until the house is dealt with for the future - and perhaps the neighbours will feel more able to keep the weeds down - it's truly sad how so many empty houses are disintegrating and blighting neighbourhoodds, when so many would love to have a decent roof over their head and take good care of it
@@Angharadz2 Perhaps a nice car in the open garage of a house in that condition, and secluded for the most part by the garage, could be ripe for someone messing with it. And for safety I would not feel comfortable for the same reason she didn't like the trees by the driveway. Now that the house is in plain view in that condition, perhaps the city will do something other than add Plexiglas.
@@carolg.6838 I did wonder about that side of it - some security lighting to that side wouldnt be a bad thing either for the safety of her mum's property as well; ultimately she would have to decide which are her best options
I am also diagnosed with OCD and I am a 76 year old widow in Florida who looks forward to every Monday to watch your videos. You; Sean; have a very special talent and gift from God and you use your talent and this gift to benefit others and you are doing God's work here in your community. I have watched every video you have made including your other channel and you far surpass every other lawn care channel out there on You Tube. It's your love of people and giving back to your community that makes you stand out and your viewers love your work ethic and attention to the entire property that makes us all come back each week and want to see more. I feel blessed to be a very small part of your ever growing number of subscribers. May God Bless You and your lovely family.🙏🙏❣
II am so happy to see another senior call it a gift. I think it is too. My doctors say it is why I am still so strong. I have known a lot of people in my life that are uncomfortable in my home because it is so clean and tidy. I don't have any problem at their homes and I tell them I am comfortable and what I have isn't catching. We just laugh about it. My mom was not like me and even as a little girl it bothered me to live with the chaos. I was controlling my own space by the time I was 5 and my mom just shook her head. Thank you!

I like watching the mowing videos, but I watch you the most. You always rake, put things back together and go the extra mile. My all time favorite was when you helped Mr. Frank.
That poor woman was correct, Sean you may need to buy a skid steer for some of these homes your taking on !! Lord Almighty that's a job & you are an Angel !! God bless you Sean !!
I am a 71 yr old lady. I have ocd also. I'm always seeing things I wish had been done. Every time I see something, You do it. So satisfying to watch you. .
I'm a 74yr old lady who has cut back on gardening due to too much shade but I consider filling lawn dips with compost & picking up sticks *yardening*. Our 100+ trees on 1&1/3 acres means we're on the verge of leaf-pickup. That makes more free compost. I watch lots of these videos (like Flawless in England) but Midlife Stockman is my favorite. My neighbor, in their 40's, have a nice flower garden that has 3ft high grass in it & because they are south of us, the leaves cover our yard in spring when that dies down & thaws. I'm itching to do something there, but seriously am plenty busy with my beds & trees, etc. So I feel better just watching these....
@@AnnShade I watch Flawless and Midlife as well. Have you seen Quick Cuts (George) out of Tasmania ? His is another awesome channel. Bet you’ll enjoy him too 😊
That is truly shameful that the city doesn’t take care of the property under their supervision! It is even more so because the property sits in the middle of a neighborhood of homes that the residents do take care of! You are a blessing!
The city of Detroit has about 78,000 houses, business, and churches of abandoned property no block clubs no community service involvement when I lived in Detroit we had firebomb home the grass would be so tall I couldn't see over it I would call my district council person and someone come and cut the grass also in the city of Detroit it was illegal to cut abandoned property grass when I lived there I left in 2015
@@camillemorrison2883 that makes no sense at all! If the city can’t or won’t cut it they should be thanking every citizen that steps up to do the dirty work! Typical government!
The Land Bank Authority has 3 or 4 departments and clearly that guys department was to make sure the house was not vandalized. There are separate departments for clearing the land. You don't know if he reported the over growth or not, the point is moot now.
My goodness! You are a saint for doing these jobs! If the city put up plexiglass why on earth do they let it get so grown over?! Bless you for your hard work!❤
I realize who don't want anything in return for what you do, but these banks should be giving you something in return. I'd say gift cards for keeping up with you equipment. Your an amazing person. God Bless You
Wow, I can’t believe the transformations in this video! Each yard makeover was more mind-blowing than the last, but that final one? Absolutely jaw-dropping! The work, the detail, the dedication-it’s on another level. THIS is why I keep coming back to this channel. Truly inspiring!
Hi sean, I watch these garden makeovers, "the boring channel ", sb mowing, & others, but I have to say none of them do half of what you do, whether you have ocd or not, the fact that you go above & beyond in these transformations is incredible. I live in the UK 🇬🇧 and there are the occasional overgrown gardens ,but not like you have in the states. Hat's of to you Sean, excellent service to your community. So nice you are appreciated by the neighbours.
I would agree with your assessment of Sean but disagree with your assessment of The Boring channel (Kevin Hanson) and SB Mowing or even if you're referring to Al Bladez. Those guys are really good guys, they work really hard and do a good job. You don't have to put down one to compliment another.
@thomasluby1754 I am not putting these guys down as you put ,but by comparison Sean's work is by far more of finished product, he never leaves grass cuttings lying around, for only the wind to blow them everywhere, he clears all of the leaves etc and bags it. Kevin, Spencer, & Al do amazing transformations, but Sean's work is 5 stars.
@@simisocks8362 You claimed above that people like Al Blades and Kevin Hansen don't "do half of what" Shawn does. That's not true. I have seen Spencer take shortcuts and I am getting a little tired of him. But Al Blades and Kevin are incredibly hard working and I can't think of any time where they took shortcuts. I've been watching these things for three years and I'm getting tired of all of these guys. At first, I was not critical of any of them but the more I watch the more perfectionistic I am and can be critical of this spot they missed or that spot. But it's easy for me to be critical from my couch when they're doing all the hard work in the hot weather. I already told you what I thought about you not needing to put down nice people like Al Blades and Kevin Hansen to compliment Shawn Stockman, who is also a very nice person. I was critical of Sean on a house from about a month ago where he didn't do the one side of the house that was closest to the neighbor. But I understood because Sean was there for two days. So, to each his own. Watching these guys reminds me of the 10 years I spent watching This Old House on PBS, a show I loved so much until I got tired of it. I've probably reached the same point with these guys.
Please forgive me for not comenting before. This house, even in her decay looks so revitalized and inviting after your transformation. Thankyou for your dedication to helping these properties to come alive again. Thus is one of the best episodes. Blessings, and thankyou.
I honestly think that house is salvageable and could be really cute. The roof is decent, no sagging along the ridgeline or eaves. Needs a new sill plate for sure, new siding, eaves, facia, soffits and windows/doors (maybe floor if those were knocked out for a time) also going to go out on a limb and guess copper thieves have been at work in there, so wiring would have to be rerun and it could be sound for refurbishment.
I cannot believe the hard work you did. I am so touched by your kind and giving spirit. I received many gifts for Christmas, but watching you give of your time to make the world a better place is the greatest gift of all.
Neighbours, so they park their car there but are not willing to at least mow the side. Yeah, better let someone else do it. If it bothers me I would have done something about it. I don't understand these people, having neighbour hood watches but are not willing to get together to do some work. Yeah, we are greatful to you Sean for making our neighbour hood beautiful. What a bunch of hypocrites
Man, it has been a blessing to watch you in action! Inspiring others like me to go out and help our own communities, showing love in a way that is fun and healthy for you, and giving SOOOO many people beautiful transformations to enjoy. We are asked to “love your neighbor as yourself” and you do exactly that! Brother, what a great man you are, keep it up! 🙌🏻😇
Thank you for taking care of the dead raccoon & that nasty toilet…..this overgrowth was truly amazing….obviously the house is rotted & should be demolished, but, in the meantime, this neighborhood has been strengthened by your hard work and love
Sean the grace of God certainly lives within you. There is no one on RUclips like you, in more ways than one. You do so much more at making everything look incredible, while others just cut the grass and move on. Much love and respect to you for what you do and rest assured that GOD is watching you and blessing you with yet unknown glories.

God is blessing Sean with unknown glories?🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 What Sean does does help our homeowner or neighborhood but as what he does for a living. Do you know that Sean gets paid for these efforts from RUclips? Sean is a really good guy and a hard worker but I don't know about all the godliness stuff. When you do something nice for someone and you get paid for it, you've gotten your award here on Earth. There's no reward in heaven for something like that.
Out of all of them this one is my favorite. You are an amazing genuinely good hearted person. Thank you. And there are so many lawn care channels but You are the only one that does it all, goes above and beyond which is what makes your channel stand out! Definitely got a new subscriber. God is so good.
I started off watching AL Bladz and now I'm watching 5 different lawn mowing channels and yours is my FAVORITE!!!! Thanks for being amazing and keep up the great work!!
Sean, your work is doing more to unite America than all the programs our government spends money on. Just so encouraging to see the interaction you are having with the neighbors. You should have a show on network TV. You have the positivity a sadly divided America needs. Thank you.
The devision in your society is in part down to Covid which has devastated people in ways they haven’t embraced yet it was as if we’ve been robbed of something, strange to say I know ! The UK is no different Covid has had an awful effect on every facet of our lives and we’re still reeling from it I don’t want to be political here but you good people in America have had a major problem to deal with and it comes down to one man just one I will not give him his name because we are all sick of hearing it time will come when we can all get passed it
Uniting America? The government spends money on programs to United America? They do? I have no idea what you're talking about. Shawn cleans up one property/week and it helps out a few neighbors on one street. That's helpful but it's not uniting America. Did you know the population of the United States is approximately 336,000,000 people? I'm not sure cleaning up distressed/abandoned properties is uniting anybody.
This is called in the Bible as loving your neighbor as yourself. Yes, truly this attitude would bring more love in this hateful, divisive world we live in. Just imagine how great this country could be if we had that ethic. The ten commandments say in a summary to love God first and foremost and secondly love your neighbors as yourself. Now that's a blessed country. Thank you Sean for showing us how it's done and may God continue to bless you and your adorably sweet family.
@@obiehicks9509 Just FYI but there's no such thing as a blessed country. The only blessed country that existed was Israel, but that ended a few thousand years ago.

I am new to your channel and so proud that you are a fellow Michigander! Thank you for loving your city and its people! You are the heart of the Midwest! Generous, hardworking, kind, thoughtful and tenacious. Bravo!! Many thanks!
This one is for the record books. Not only did you clear up the blight to the block, but you brought relief to the neighbor. She was correct, it was a safety issue. Awesome work.
It looks amazing and I’m so happy the lady next door feels safe now. This house looks beyond repair. It makes no sense the city doesn’t take it down. The neighbors could have a community garden there
I feel that this is the single most amazing transformation that you have done yet. Putting aside just the aesthetic of looking at that overgrown yard, those poor people that lived around in the neighborhood and had to look at that all the time but the safety factor for that young lady next-door was what made my heart feel so good that you were there and made this happen for them. Thank you so much for everything that you do. You’re truly an inspiration.
I watch a lot of people on RUclips doing this type of work...for a few times but then compare their efforts to yours and stop watching them. You have been consistent in the standard you do on EVERY YARD! Since the beginning, you have picked up/hauled away trash, fixed things, cleaned and cleared the yard and made sure it was looking the best it could. You regularly go over and above and that is what makes you and this channel inspiring to watch. I really enjoy watching you grow in your skills and experience (no more short shovels!) and the consistency in how you do your work. You are making a difference in your community-one project at a time!

Another job for the Ninja. Sean, you are the only yard makeover specialist that should be watched. You touch everything and are thorough. The job is not done sloppily or halfway. It makes me proud to watch you. Really, I bow to your magnificence. I read a lot of the comments, and they are all on the money. Thank you for your existence. Best wishes to you and your family.
Letting a house get run down like that is a crime. Your transformation of the property is a huge boon for the neighbours improving safety and aesthetics. Great job
Sadly, Michigan is full of abandoned homes such as this. It's a shame that they can't be fixed and used to help with the housing problems so many cities in this state are faced with. I live in the suburbs of Flint, Michigan and believe me there's a ton of these homes in the city limits. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ...to you Sean for conquering blight one lot at a time. PS. Your OCD is what sets the bar so much higher for other yard channels. You go the extra 100 miles!!!!
@@tnolan3176 there shouldn't be a mortgage on these type properties. They should be sold for $1.00 and residents (NOT INVESTORS) should be given low interest home improvement loans in place of the mortgage. Help these cities revitalize and help the housing crisis at the same time.

Sean, it's your OCD that literally makes you a cut above all the other lawn channels. Love your channel!
I 100% agree with you!
@@jonathanworachek6468He really has OCD though!!! Hahaha!!! He got it from his mama!!
. There's nothing wrong with having it. It's a good thing in my eyes. I'm glad I have it.
UPDATE!!!!! The house has been sold, my daughter met the new owners and she says he's very nice so we're excited😊
How exciting! Glad to read that house will once again be a home for a loving family.

@@Autumn8564 Oh sorry, did not realise. Who would be responsible for cleaning it up in the US?

I agree!
Here's what I come back for weekly. You don't judge who's worthy of help or who's not. You don't stop to ask who should have done what but didn't. You just say, "Here's a job that needs to be done, and I'm able to do it." Then you do it with a smile. Thank you!
I love this comment. Thank you!!
So perfectly said. I agree!!!!
I couldn't agree with this comment more. You're a beautiful human being Sean.
@@MidlifeStockmanyou’re so awesome!!! ❤❤❤

Sean you are a caring guy getting rid of deposing dead animals and toilets and doing such a good job repairing fences etc

That is truly shameful that the city doesn’t take care of the property under their supervision! It is even more so because the property sits in the middle of a neighborhood of homes that the residents do take care of! You are a blessing!

The Land Bank Authority has 3 or 4 departments and clearly that guys department was to make sure the house was not vandalized. There are separate departments for clearing the land. You don't know if he reported the over growth or not, the point is moot now.

You should watch Quickcuts. George is meticulous. He's in Australia.
This channel really is king of yard transformations. Really glad to see its on its way to 1 million subs
I cannot believe the hard work you did. I am so touched by your kind and giving spirit. I received many gifts for Christmas, but watching you give of your time to make the world a better place is the greatest gift of all.
