Sal said he just likes his hair that way later in the game. Besides it says "son" in the very beginning so even if you thought of Sal as a girl at first that would tell you that Sal is a boy. I watched Gloom play it but I like watching other people's reaction lol.

i finally played the game for myself, and it still feels amazing despite how old it is. it was amazing to see how much the creator improved with writing and their art style as the chapters progressed
