Thanks for adding this video. I have watch other head turn/body turn videos and it never seemed to work. This is the first video that I have seen, where I do exactly as the teacher explains and it works exactly as described.

Moho is really good software, I'm still using version 11 and it's very flexible, version 12 just takes it all further. As someone who has to animate characters in After Effects I long for the time when agencies get smart and switch to Moho for this type of work.
Nice tutorial, but a word of caution when using Illustrator CC (you may not experience this with older versions): if you're importing from a SVG file created by Illustrator you may find you get the lines, but all the colors turn back. This probably has to do with your settings. Do a save as, not an export, and select SVG. In the settings window that opens select: SVG 1.0. Make sure the CSS Properties field is set to Presentation Attributes.

I would also like to note that the smart bone has to be parented to a bone that moves the whole head. I followed the tutorial but deleted the first two bones before I created the smart bone. I tried adding them back but they were parented to the smart bone and made the whole rig behave weirdly. all the same this is a great tutorial. thanks
Why you cannot make the face turn right and left in the same action why you must do 2 actions one for left and one for right?

@@koopy_vs_world7619 help, i really cant draw lines, like not a shape, i just want to draw a straight line, but I can just only do that with the freehand tool and I have to adjust the points later so it can be straight
@@thuychi9419 I think holding down the Alt key while drawing with the 'Add Point' tool should solve ur problem

What if the mouth is open, and the head is turned to the side? There needs to be a sort of hole in the head where the mouth is, or else you'll see the head layer under the mouth as it opens. The problem is that if you actually make a hole in the head where the mouth should open, it'll look weird when it's turning. It's hard to explain... but this is the problem I've had with Anime Studio.

What could I be doing wrong, it works perfectly in the action time line, but when I go to the main line and flip the smart bone nothing works!!
There is no "Action" button under my window tab. I have Anime Studio Debut 11, so that might be the problem but idk.
I don't have it either. I also can't name my bones. I'm using Moho Debut 12 instead of Pro; maybe that's it.

Okay so everyone who's a bad @$$ at the MOHO pro 12, and similar animations, basically really just dicked around with the programs with research and practice. Bravo to them. My only concern is, if you're actually trying to help us newbies it'd be nice if they were really understandable. The animators always have thick accents.
