Hahah, that's how it goes 😂

It's just so sick to see a British lad on a 125, with an actually good mic and camera. Feels like he's just chatting to us. Keep it up, man.
Thank you mate! Its honestly amazing to make these videos!
Nathan Barden No problem mate. I’m amazed about how fast these 125s have got, I mean these things are fast enough for the motorways?! Back in the 80s 125s would struggle to hit 65 lol. Very lucky to have a bike like this, just make sure to stay safe bro.
@@JamesTake2 older 125s are real quick
@@scrappydoos your right old aprila did 100 mph plus
@@Bren-qp9io and just asking for a friend was there a particular model? xDD
Damn!! Almost 80mph on a 125cc with a pillion on the back...quickest 125 i've ever seen👍👍👍
Hahah it is a great bike!
One of the reasons why this bike is a top choice for 16 year olds
on my sym nhx 125 street fighter i sit at 70-72mph flat incline maybe 65 68 with still 3000rpm to go in 5th
at 3/4 throttle full throttle hit 82 flat and everytime up slight incline if i pin it ill get to 75
Probably the best looking 125cc bikes around imo
Completely agree!
KTM RC 125 c;
Aprilia rs4
kawasaki KMX
Glad youre still enjoying riding mate, keep doing what your doing 👍
Thank you mate!
I've got a fair amount of respect for you for doing this sort of thing on a bike, and on a 125 too. I mean, I've done long distance journeys but from the comfort of my car so I've had an easier time of it, unsurprisingly.
Might consider putting some money to one side to go towards a bike license. It's always run in my family so it would be nice to do something like this on a bike.
You should go for it! It's honestly so much fun and it makes my day to go out on rides!
10 o'clock at night and motorway was shut for 3hr. Hats off to you pal. Great commentary great video I bet you was knackered when you finished.
Thank you :)
Love this video, saw it before I even had my 50cc and now after all this time I passed my A1 a few weeks ago and have my first long trip planned on my GSX-S in a couple months!!
Good luck mate!
The prob with 125s on the motorway isn't so much the lack of speed but the fact that the motor's whizzing round at 8-9,000 rpm. So tiring. I have a Jawa 350 which maintains 60 all day ... at just 4,000 rpm!
Great vid. Thanks.
Haha, yeah. Its running high RPM all the time. Uses a lot of fuel haha, that bike sounds great! Thank you mate
That 6th gear makes all the difference
this is relaxing to watch and is preparing me for when i get my a1 license
Thank you! Good luck with your A1, just listen and you'll do great!
80 on a 125 two up is impressive.
I'm just a very talented rider ;)
Since u post daily I’m a sub

Glad you like them!
Awesome video! Uploaded on my birthday!
Well, happy birthday to you mate!
Awesome mate I love riding my 125 with my riding buddies
That's amazing mate!
meanwhile threres me on a 50cc (lex moto aspire if you are interested) nearly dying every time i need to join another road from a junction because its that slow i get rear ended nearly every time to no fault of my own👍👍
i liked the video it was good love the fact you keep enforcing the life saver, i do want a yzfr125 theyre really nice also the fact a 200m trip took 6 hours, thats not gone well
Hahaha, that was because of traffic. You can always contact me if you need tips or advice on riding. Welcome to the channel!
This was fun to watch! Can't wait to get my CBT and hit the road. Good video bud :)

Thank you mate! What bike is it?!
@@NathRides yzf r125 or a cbr still deciding
ooo, YZF ;)
Same, I'm waiting for 2 months now due to the lockdown so I can do my CBT in UK, I will be purchasing a Yamaha yzf 125 or a Honda CBR 125 can't wait, thanks for the video.
I'm getting my learners in a few months, now you've made me even more excited
Ayyy! What bike you gonna get mate?
@@NathRides I was thinking of a CBR 125, but I would really love to get a 2020 R125, but you don’t get those in SA as Yamaha stopped shipping all their 125 and 250cc bikes here, same with Suzuki and now Honda as well
Or I might settle for an old 90’s 2-stroke, although they are VERY rare, and I cannot emphasize that enough, Especially the NSR125, I Have found a sprinkling of TZR 125’s and LS125’s, but all of them are hellously expensive and I’m looking for something that is sports bike esque, cheap, reliable and pretty speedy to get on highways so I’m going for the old CBR125 as it fits all those categories, as well as it is very customizable, the only thing I don’t like about the cbr is the headlights and dash, but I can find a pretty cheap digital dash online and I’ll have to try and swap the lights (if I can) to a more modern looking dragon eye lights that the more modern day Honda’s use, but I’ll get there when I get there, I still need to worry about getting the money to buy the bike before I can start worrying about those factores

Amazing what you can actually do on a 125!
It really is!
Just wondered what speed were you cruising at and what rpm at that speed?
Great video btw Nathan!
I cruise at 70mph so I get there as soon as possible. 70mph also feel comfortable in gear 6

honestly mate you sound like Bear Grylls. ride safe 🤙
Really impressed with your microphone quality given the circumstances!
Thank you mate! It’s even better now with the upgraded microphone!
I've watched all this! Reminds me of when I was at university riding from Swansea and Cardiff back to London on my DT125R. That was hard on the backside! 😂 Your gf is a trooper, going all that way 2up. 🙂
Enjoy your bike! 😀
Thank you mate, she loves it. She comes everywhere with me, we’ve done 600 mile weekends together and everything 😂 I get that was fun doing all that mileage. What do you ride now?
I went on to a TDR250 which was utter hooliganism 😂 but then ended up in a car (musician, so had to move equipment around)
I had no interest in fast cars for years as I always took the view that cars were to be practical or comfortable and if you wanted to go fast - get a bike!! 😉🤣
But then a friend took me out in his 355F1 and I was hooked so I got a couple of fast cars eventually.
I've never lost the bike 'itch' and will definitely get one again. I'll either go with the impracticality of getting another TDR for the lols until i can't find 2 stroke oil any more or the total opposite and get an r6 or something
What do you have your eye on for your next bike eventually?
Love this, older vid, i am currently 50 and in the process of purchasing a 125!
Thank you mate, which 125cc you thinking of getting?

Good work on the lane discipline. Thanks for the video. Think i may do my CBT and get a YZF-r125
Thank you mate!
Impressive that you can sit at 70 two up, nice vid as always mate.
Thank you mate, I'm impressed with the 2019 too!
Awaiting my provisional forum arriving in the mail to send it away. Get my provisional licence then onto my cbt. Then onto my direct hopefully
I was laughing when he said "M40, woohoo!"
I’m actually so impressed that you can take a pillion and still do over 60, they must weigh the same as a wasp😂 I know yzfrs were quick but that’s mad!
Haha, We've had 92 together hahaha
@@NathRides I wish I was tall enough for one now 😂
@@CaiStroudHD well, apparently Nathan weighs 150kg and his girlfriend weighs 150kg, so yeah I'm super extremely highly very really surprised that this bike can take weights of up to 300kg and yet travel at a maximum speed of 90mph and a nice comfortable cruising speed of 70mph
Together we weighed about 120. We're were both around 60kg
@@NathRides 600 + 600 doesn't = 120! It equals 1,200! You both weigh 1,200kg or 1.2tonnes
Get the aprilia rs 660, truly amazing looking bike, great vid too!
Is it an A2 bike? I’ll take a look into it :)
Unfortunately it's not an A2 bike as its got 100hp. A2 bike need to be restricted down to 47hp but can't be more than double that unrestricted (I.e 94hp).
@@connoradams944 Bit late but they do also make an A2 complaint model :)
@@ryacrauf must be fairly recently they've decided to do that. Then again it's alot of money for an A2 bike.
What’s your equipment set up for audio? Great clean sound.

Thats cool bro. Is it freezing to ride during winter months in the UK?
Thank you mate, yeah, it’s very cold but still fun!
Subbed
Why is your ABS light on
Can you do a video and show the fuel consumption in like town, country roads and motorways?
I'll add it to the list!
70 mph with 2 people on not bad how fast will it go with just 1 person ?
Great videos how long you been riding
4 years now!
Hello great videos. Can you do something on going around roundabouts? Struggling to grasp how to do it nice and clean and smooth. I now have a YZF125 so any video would be appreciated.
Of course mate, id be happy to! Keep an eye out!
Easy solution get a car even a 1.0 eco boost will comfortably cruise I understand that people may prefer bikes but honestly this is one of the most expensive 125 around and one of the fastest and it still struggles to keep up to traffic but of course it’s my opinion
That's a good opinion mate, my only point of argument is that I commonly find myself overtaking on motorways 😂
The 125cc picked up speed very quickly
It is a good bike!
Do you think it’s worth getting a r125 2020 even though the winter is coming up?
Ooo, good question! Id still yes as not all of winter season is bad for riding. You just have to be more careful and vigilant when doing anything!
What is your motorbike model mate? 🤔
I'm curious, I have a CBT and I'm getting a YZF R125. Are we allowed to ride on the motorway with a CBT and do 60+ mph?
Hi mate, on a CBT you can go on any road except for motorways and you don't have the restrict the YZF-R125 :)
So is this 125cc with a passenger different in power to a restricted L plate CBT only bike as it seems to maintain 70mph easy enough ?
No mate, the same 125cc that you could ride just without L plates :)
I done London to Leeds twice on the motorway! On my old YZF R125
Its not that bad on a 125cc is it? Over exaggerated I think
@@NathRides until you see a big bike fly by and he's just cruising and your basically pinged out 😂👌
Yeah, the huge 700cc cruisers that fly past you when you're at a good 80mph 😂
Damn , I’m so envious of you, we can’t ride on a highway even on a 1000cc bike in Taiwan.
Really? What do you need for highway riding?
@@NathRides We just can’t do highway riding man ,because our government have shit for brains, only cars can drive on expressway.
though you wasnt allowed to go on a motorway with l plates?, love the bike got one myself but 13 plate great fun.
That’s great to hear mate, I have my full A1 licence so I’m allowed down M roads
I don’t know if I would be brave enough to ride at that time here in Oz. Beside the unexpected jumping kangas you got the already dead ones lying on the tarmac along with other wildlife as well.
Wow, you mean kangaroos will literally kick you off your bike?
Nathan Barden those animals are not aware of road regulations, they are grey colour so they blend and sometimes they stop in the middle of the road and freeze with the headlights and their eyes don’t reflect light so that’s the reason many vehicles over there got bull bars mounted to avoid damage because of this..
No, we just have gales, torrential rain, snow, sleet ..
My friend lived in Melbourne where 13 degrees is a cold day!!!
Trying to explain how your doing 70 with ease is my daily struggle. I weigh 60kg soaking wet😂 being small has its benefits😂😂
Hahah, I had pillion too! 🤣
Ive just bought an xsr125 2021,same engine...would it definatley benefit from an exhaust/decat,not just noise but performance, cheers
Not much performance is gained through the exhuast, maybe 0.3hp but it feels much better
can it go faster than 70? also you're a legend for responding to nearly every comment
That's alright mate, I feel like everyone deserves a reply! And yes, I've had 94!

how many kw power does ur bike have ?
i have cb125f 2020 without pillon max speed to acheive is 60 downhill 65

im HGV 1 driver for 20 years nights, Ive been a cyclist for 10 years so understand from all directions apart from a motorcyclist. i want to get my 125cc licence to travel to work. i heard its VERY dangerous on a bike and ive had people telling me dont but bike vs car is alot cheaper
A lot of people have told me the same, it's not dangerous if you're aware. Treat everyone as a threat, try and do a CBT as it'll give you basic knowledge of riding and allow you to ride a 125cc :)
@@NathRides after 20 years of driving and cycling I’ve learnt that people are complete w…..rs when it comes to driving. People just don’t give a shit about anyone apart from their own selfish needs. @@NathRides not really the first time was raining hard and everyone was speeding af the second time police carry me out through a checkpoint placed in the motorway
Do you still have your 125? An did you get bored of it? Been thinking of getting a bike but just felt like the lack of sufficient power on a motorway makes it unsafe an something I may get bored of( never took a 125 on a motorway). Whats your opinion on it? I am considering building a supermoto or getting a car but both cost more than getting a 125 sports bike, which is what i want but having doubts due to the performance

Still got to stop in the toll station ? They don’t know tag technology yet ?
Yeah, only people that pay a subscription can use TAG
Do you recommend getting a1 is it worth it, also is it comfortable being on the motorway for like 2 or 3 hours on a 125cc
Id say yes if you need to take motorways, pilons or if you want your L Plates off. And its not that bad mate, my legs go numb sometimes but pull over and have a stretch at the service stations
Not good for the bike screwing the arse of the little engine like that
Its all good, the bike is fully serviced, ran in, full maintenance check before each motorway ride to ensure safety. Apon stopping, it is left to run in neutral to lower the temperature before hitting the kill switch. The bike is in amazing mechanical heath :)
@@NathRides i wouldnt like to see ya piston after 6 months of motorway runs doing 70+

@@NathRides that’s one less stress on my mind then thank you 😂💪🏽
I don't get it. Everyone tells me 125cc can't go highway speeds but this guys 125cc is zooming with 2 people onboard faster than I'd ever need to go. Speed limits 100kmh (60mph) in nearly all of Australia.
Yeah, a lot of people shit on 125cc because it's typically lower than their 1000ccs but here's your proof that 125ccs can reach up to the 90s :)
