    I do love the beagle with the poor proportions. It is cute, it has personality and it reminds me of a character that would be on the TV series Adventure Time. This video was extremely helpful for my needle felting journey ❤️ thank you for taking the time to make this.

    Dear Julie, I watch quite a lot of needle felting artists as I am learning myself this craft. However, I can honestly say that I always look further to your tutorials and you never disappoint! This one was (at least to me) immensely helpful in pointing out where I am sometimes going wrong and how to fix it! Loved every bit of it, nerdy part including! Thank you for your time spent educating us and, if I may, I would like to put in a suggestion for a future video: symmetry is something I am not always getting right and when I do, I feel like it's more luck than technique! 😀 If you have any useful tips for that, I would love to learn them! Once again, thank you, and looking forward to your next video!

    Julie, I just discovered your delightful, very entertaining, instructional needle felting video’s. Kudos ! I’m planning to see all that you have posted. I like your focus on the fundamentals rather than breezing over them. My “older” ears do have trouble distinguishing your English brogue and the rapid clip at which you talk. It’s okay and I’m not suggesting you change a thing, not that you could. Accordingly, my long, slow Southern drawl would likely drive you nuts! I compensate by listening to some of your sections several times until my brain gets it. We hear with our brains, not our ears, ya know. I’d be especially interested to hear more from you about fiber prep for needle felting. I’m a fairly seasoned needler but have had little success applying an outer layer of fine fiber without leaving the telltale little holes, even using a 40 needle of any shape. I haven’t owned a 42 but shall order a few after seeing your videos. Thanks again!

    • @juliesfeltedfriends
      @juliesfeltedfriends  Год назад

      Aw thank you so much for your lovely comments. Also thank you for your feedback on my fast talking, hopefully you will find my more recent videos a bit easier to understand as I think I've improved my pacing a bit 😁 also I always try to add subtitles to my videos, so you might find having them on helps? 🙂 regarding the holey finish, yes a 42 gauge needle might well work, hopefully my video on getting a smooth finish will be useful. I find going over the surface with a fine 42 gauge triangular needle really does help get rid of fuzz and holes, especially with fine wool. I hope you find this works for you 😊 btw I read your comments imagining your southern drawl and it sounded fabulous 😁 thanks for watching.

      Hi there, I find it helps if you leave some unfelted wool at the end of the leg that I spread out onto the body which helps make the join more seamless. Or for attaching the head you might need to add a scarf of wool around the neck, perhaps this would be something you'd would like me to show in a specific video on this?
