- We're looking to start the next major phase of the restoration of our 150 year old stone farmhouse in southern Spain but there is some priority work we want to get completed first.

House renovation is thirsty work, especially an old Finca (Spanish farmhouse), so if you would like to buy us a coffee or even a beer, you can do so here: www.buymeacoffee.com/FincaLife. It would be very much appreciated.

This is a true labour of love. It's handy having a pile of building materials within walking distance 😂😂😂
Your work is great to watch! During summer drought we use narrow necked bottles filled with water upturned and pushed into the soil around the plants that we wish to save. No water waste or evaporation.
Looking at your office, I had a few thoughts. The door to your en-suite could easily become a bookcase (as you’ve done elsewhere). Very appropriate for an office! As for the window situation, think about your furniture placement before putting a central window in. Having an uninterrupted span of wall might be useful for a desk, etc. it would be so much easier to make a window of the existing door. I love what you’ve done so far! Renovating a structure of this size and condition is an enormous undertaking. I really admire your determination.
@@FrinkyBaby Thank you so much. We had planned a bookcase for the door and the window height will be above the desk so will work very nicely. It's not a large window, in keeping with the rest of the house, so plenty of wall space will be available. Watch this space... It will take a while but will all unfold.
Thanks, enjoyed content, lots of variety!
I like the way you manage working in the heat. Outside in the early morning, and inside when it’s hot. That tomato is huge!
Always great progress in completing your many projects. ALL of your completed works looks just perfect.
Love your commitment to complete set tasks👍 Anita from Cape Town
The tiles you found will come in handy!
Good idea finish apartment
If you want to collect seeds a tip I learned is to leave the part of the plant that has seed pods on the plant. If it's hanging down that's ideal. Slip a paper bag over it, loosely tie the bag around the stem and then leave it. As long as it doesn't rain it'll be okay. After a few days shake the bag and you'll hear the seeds rattling around in the bottom of the bag. It must be a paper bag because moisture forms in plastic.
Organization and planning for the next 😊 take it slow with the heat! I think it's beer o clock🎉
Alfie is such a sweetie. Loved hearing his purr when he sat on your lap to inspect the melons.
I was just going to suggest the same thing. You might have less viewers because you finish things whilst many Chanel’s change doing things in order to give viewers different contents. I prefer the way you two do it. Keep the good work going even though I’ll see the finish of it all as I’m getting on. Never mind, I’ll keep on enjoying your videos whilst I can.
Indeed, cant have too many clamps! 🤣🤣🤣
I find that if you stop looking - you don’t find as many tasks that need doing🤷🏻♂️
There’s your summer sorted! Make sure you make time for menus, beers and BBQ’s!
@@Mark-F-Hopper lol and thanks, we do. We generally don't film our private time. Got to have some time away from work.
I know you have other priorities, but a green house would be ideal for you and will give your followers hours of fun🍒🍒
100% argee😊
Thanks - something to bear in mind for the future :) It's not really feasible for us at the moment
Sharron you need to keep your seeds in a paper bag not plastic or they will damp off x
Thanks for that, we'll sort it
I’m so very sorry it is so hot there today! It is the same temperature here in the USA here! Thanking God we have air conditioning here!
@@Susan.I It's normal summer here and hot every day from mid June to Mid September with temperatures reaching 112F. We have air conditioning too you know, although in parts of the house we don't need it as it rarely goes above 77 indoors.
I guess the irony of replacing the place where they used to keep chickens and rabbits with the place you’re going to 14:15 keep your fridge freezer didn’t pass you by ? 😂
Love watching you two I put my seeds in a cardboard box put some holes in the box they keep fresh love your home I wish I had one like yours it would take me one hundred years to finish it lol
Thank you - we're probably looking at about 95 years :)
Have you guys considered how your chickens will manage those beastly temps you have in summer? 👍😊🇨🇦
We guess the same as the other 47.1 million (2020) laying hens in Spain.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hi to you both, love what you are doing with your projects. Any updates on Tilly?
@@susangill402 coming up!

🥰
The ceiling in the office is so tall, suppose it explains your loft space.
Are the thick rock walls much cooler then outside?
Please don't be offended 😢but that hard looking glass table does not scream comfort.....you need some soft furnishing in there as you now have a table downstairs.....just a suggestion😊
I watch many of this type of RUclips channel and there is a very common theme amongst all of them. Nothing ever seems to get finished. Always going from one project to another. While I understand weather conditions can dictate what you can and can’t do, it seems that generally a lack of planning and project management skills is an issue. Maybe this is due to a personality type or some other reason I don’t know. But it’s a very common theme for what ever reason. Not a criticism in any way, just an observation.
Does Spain have lakes and or streams you can cool off in?
🌟👏👍🍀💐
