- Something a bit different from Motorcycle Live today. Over on the Indian stand they were celebrating the release of their new 2020 Scout with a walk through the history of the iconic motorcycle. Some super rare and beautiful machines on show, I'm sure you'll agree! They also had a selection of modified bikes that really looked great.

That was awesome Paul, really enjoyed seeing all those Indians together and getting the info about each bike and the history that comes with each one.
Cheers mate,well done...
I really enjoyed that. Recently I was given a photo of my great uncle on his scout in the 1920's and another with my grandmother sitting on the same bike. When I was young my family tried to dissuade me from riding by telling me uncle Bill died on the bike . Later I found out he was hit by lightening playing golf. I will never take up that obviously dangerous pursuit but I have been riding motorcycles for 38 years. Thanks again.
First full on Indian scout I ever saw was a 1928 unit. He'd broken down on one of our magnificent Melbourne boulevards, following the dawn service at the shrine of remembrance. A true sight to see.
I was in my car with an extensive toolbox, and as a former rider the instinct to render assistance never dies. I approached him and offered aid which he declined, saying he knew what the issue was and he'd be underway shortly. Giving me the opportunity to look the bike over with great admiration. This was s perfect restoration. All cast iron and brass.
The cameraman did a brilliant job of filming this, well done.
Great tour of time and Indian history of some really impressive sample bikes- thank you
I am sorry George Yarock with his 1929 Indian 101 Scout are not around to see this great show .. He was a real inspiration to us all in New Englad.. Glad we still have Englishman Tim Raindle to keep up his shop here in Connecticut ....I would love to see Indian revisit the WW2 841 shaft drive opposed V ....
Thanks for doing a piece on Indian Motorcycle
I enjoyed seeing all of those old Indian Bikes and hearing the stories of them. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Brilliant Paul thanks for sharing, everyone a thing of beauty.
Great video, Paul! Very informative with great videography. 👍 🏍
Not a lover but wow the WWII early bike was just lovely. Would absolutely ride that around our country lanes and enjoy. Thanks for the overview.
Excellent video, and alot of very interesting bikes.
Hi Paul, great to meet you at Motorcyclelive yesterday. Hope the channel continues to go from strength to strength. All my best to Craig.
Thanks Paul, I had a '24 model with sidecar frame for a while in the mid 60's, I remember it started easy and didn't go all that fast but don't recall what ever happened to it.
Thank you very very interesting, great job.
Great display for Indian, well done Paul.
My Great Grandfather was drafted into WW1.
And 2.
We were friends. Once he said “ Boi , I used to ride them Indians , cuz they was a might faster than them Harleys”.
As for now, I sure am enjoying my FTR. Thanks for showing the bikes he was riding. I enjoyed that.
Love the Cub shirt Paul!!
Wonderful bikes, especially the earlier models.
pleased to meet you this morning at the nec, very impressive tyre lift on stage, blowing everyone away to win new set of dunlops
Haha! And it was all caught on film so I can prove it! Thanks for the comment Andy, great seeing you!
Can’t wait to see Paul wining the tyre lift! 💪🏻
Fascinating! 👍
Thank you that woz brill
great video beautyfull bikes no plastic like that ducati
I had 2002 Scout wish I could find another one the same color my was red. I would buy it in a heart beat.
👍 That was a enjoyable video
That clear fuel take is sick!!!
Remarkable what some of the early racers did with the bikes of the day with brakes of the day.
Hi lads there was no mention of the Indian Brave developed in Southport using I think a Royal Enfield 350 cc motor.
Indian did use a series of royal Enfield motors but the Indian Brave was built by Brockhouse same manufacturer who made the Corgi, it had an inhouse built 250cc side-valve engine and had an unfortunate story.
Im waiting delivery on a Scout 100th Anniversary Ltd ed. model right now.
Hi Paul and Craig. I visited the NEC show today and eventually found your stand. Unfortunately you were both missing. Very disappointing as I was looking forward to meeting you. Never mind, keep up the good work.
Oh no! Sorry about that Derrick, had to capture a couple of bits for the episode. Hopefully our paths will cross in the future!
What's happened, why have the lads gone solo... 🤔
did you introduce that guy paul? whatever his name was i thought he was very good.
So now, all I have to do, is win the euro-jackpot and buy that whole lineup. Easy peasy! 😄
I want to get the gold pinstripe border and logo on mine. I got the color and tan seat. It's a 2020 but Burt Monroes land speed record is incentive enough.
Have Indian scout 60 big bore kit 1300 . sleeper
I really like the Indian scout, despite not really being into "cruiser" type bikes. Well it off my league price wise unfortunately!
A clever Dublin man,, like myself 😂🍀
Gorgeous bikes but some of those seats look sore for a lengthy ride.
I hate putting 'experts' right, but the pre 101 with the shorter frame 600 cc engine that was the trick riders choice of machine on the Wall Of Death.. NOT the longer framed 750 101 from 1927 upto 1930.
Look at any wall of death on youtube- The Indians are all the shorter framed 600cc version, & almost all of which have had the forks changed to earlier ones, which were more rigid than the slightly later fork which had a slightly different lower pivoting link..
Sorry this has happened Paul and Kev. Once ‘other channels’ and ‘ill informed viewers’ have calmed down, and stopped going off half cocked maybe they’ll allow both new channels to get on with making good content and allow you guys to do what you do best without hurling insults based on half baked accusations. I enjoyed your reviews, bimbles and stuff like that, and am going to continue watching, and hopefully Craig who I thoroughly admire too will get back a bit of lost time if that’s been the issue. As viewers we only see the finished product so this is all a bit of a shock. Other channels throwing in their two penneth really can be quite toxic and I’d urge anyone out there’s looking at this to not engage with all the petty trolling that’s going on. All the best. Rich
I always find it a shame when the only bit of heritage left in a machine is it’s badge but it’s great that the new ones carry on with the design and retain some originality. Good review but you need to get back in the Shed of Dreams where the TRUE master is at work.
Don't touch the facial hair Paul, it gives yer mug extra character 👍
It's called "wall of death BS" Ken Fox is a first-generation and Luke and Alex are a second generation. That bike or another other bike didn't start with the Fox family. They will tell you anything haha
Dear Santa..............
I'm an Indian... choctaw/cherokee :)
And what is the general opinion of Indian motorcyclists of Indian Motorcycles?
Does that bloke sell Indians by any chance?
Paul, great vid, probably one of the best yet but please get rid of the facial hair, it ruins the vid
Wondering where Craig gone? THE DOGHOUSE ruclips.net/channel/UC3XpxkSvafEP1GjMeCztEFA
Well. I'm disappointed it hasn't worked out with Craig but lets be honest there are only so many Royal Enfield Bullets you can watch getting hit with hammers and welded. For what it's worth its the production quality of your vids that makes them appealing and you have that in abundance. Unfortunately for Craig if he's going to align himself with Workshop drama boy and his hateful homophobia, misogyny and knuckle dragging single syllable bullshit then it's not going to succeed. Look forward to seeing your new content Paul!
Engine .
100 bhp, you'd need to spend an absolute fortune to get that sort of power out of a HD. Which for reasons unknown are built anaemic and breathless for some obscure reason.
CRAP -Harley's are about torque not HP -they have sufficient grunt out of the crate -most BHP figures are at a rev point where most road riders won't reach anyway.
@@jaquesdaniels2964 well its sufficiently noticeable to general riders to be the most frequently raised comment. For an additional 4~5 k it be made to breath and exhale much better. Why can't HD offer their bikes ready to go? It shouldn't be the customers responsibility to make it go properly.
As a former 2 stroke rider, the significance of torque is not lost on me, however a 350 shouldn't be blowing big bore V twins into the weeds.
That's my point, Indian are doing it better.
@@jaquesdaniels2964 like 10000 rpm or higher is unattainable on a a modern bike engine. Try one out, you'll see you're dreaming.
I'd be prepared to put money on a cheap remap getting 100hp out of an M8 114. They make 82hp stock. I love all motorcycles, and I'm as much a fan of Indian as I am of HD, but lets be completely fair and honest here ruclips.net/video/prFF-nO6NlU/видео.html is hardly blowing the bloody doors off. And thats from a water-cooled bike
Lost interest after the old bikes
My god they knew how to build bikes back in when Jesus was in nappies...
The first 6 minutes are interesting, after that, didn't bother.
Shame the military 741b isnt correct. Wrong front mudguard, harley ammo box and gun rack, wrong horn in the wrong postion, incorrect mirror and arm. Army markings on the tank are
also wrong. Shame. There are more genuine 741b's out there.
I much prefer the Skinnier wheeled modern customised Scouts..
They are much more asthetically nicer.
Their only downfall is the ridiculous over the top price.
So it's no wonder there are more people buying Harleys.
The more naked- the better!
Older ones yes.. modern day shit no, not even made.by Indian who closed years ago
You are a dumb ass.
