Fun fact about Courtenay Cox as Monica. The lady producer of F.R.I.E.N.D.S said she and the writers and producers always regretted not utilizing Courtney acting skills more after they saw how great am actress she was on movies and other tv shows.
Mrs. Loomis is my favorite of the Scream killers. It was hard to picture Roseanne's sister as a villain. I also love the simple motive.
I'm one of the few who loves Scream 3. I get why people don't care for it, but it's my favorite of the series.

It's so fun to rewatch those movies with you.
Jamie Kennedy did some videos recently about his work on Scream. He could not justify why he took a british accent for that scene except for the fact that he wanted to show he could take one.
Mathew lillard, who played Stu made a cameo in this movie. He was in the party scene. It's a quick blink and you miss it scene. He was the blonde party goer that says," hey, man".
There was always one for shock death in the first three movies. Scream, it was Drew Barrymore's character Casey. Scream 2, it was Randy. Scream 3, well I don't wanna give that away, in case people here haven't seen it yet. My theory is that those people were killed to reiterate that anyone could die, to make people fear for the lives of the three main characters.
David arquette & Courtney Cox are married in real life playing a couple in this movie
Also this was popular amongst Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans seeing Buffy die I scream brought up debates that Buffy would have annihilated ghost face killer in this movie
By the way my favorite tv show ever is Buffy the Vampire Slayer since I started watching complete in 2010 I pretty much watch it every day and every reactor reaction to the whole show so I've seen every Buffy the Vampire Slayer episode at least 500 times each by now. That's how much I like the show as they call us in fandom I'm a Scoobie
It should also be mentioned that Sarahs character in this Movie have watched (before she is killed) the famous German Vampir movie classic "Nosferatu" from 1922
Sarah Michelle Gellar had the best chase scenes of the 90s. Scream 2 and I Know What You Did Last Summer.
I've had this theory for as long as I can remember regarding to the car scene.
I believe Mickey was knocked out originally but when Sid hit the horn I think it woke him up but pretended to still be knocked out. So that way the girls mostly Sidney were out of the car since he wasn't allowed to actually kill her and for her to be lure to the theater building for Ms. Loomis. Because he got out WAY to quickly after they did and then did like a syke trick making them think they are safe just to turn around and Kill Hallie to mess with Sid mentally and emotionally even more.
Some fun facts for you.
1. During CiCi (Sarah Michelle Gellar) scene there's quite a few things happening. She was talking to Selma Blair on the phone before she talked to ghostface and in between. They are best friends and they co-stared in "Cruel Intentions" together and when they were talking on the phone they were talking about Bailey on "Party of Five" which was the tv series that Neve Campbell (Sidney) was doing during all of the three Screams. Also, Jennifer Love Hewitt was also in "Party of Five" as Baileys girlfriend thats who they were talking about regarding to a break up. Which she also co-star in IKWYDLS with SMG. She also turned on a vampire movie as a reference to her Buffy. Sarah Michelle Gellar was very busy in 97 she was doing this, I know what you did last summer and 2nd season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
- Neve was also really busy in the late 90's. Same year Scream 96 came out her and Skeet Ulrich (Billy) did "The Craft" together, she was doing her tv series "Party of Five" and also filmed "Wild Things" with Kevin Bacon and Matt Dillon in 97 the same year Scream 2 came out. Courtney Cox was doing "Friends" the whole time she was doing "Scream, Scream 2 and 3.
2. When Randy mentioned about Gales nude pictures and how her head was on Jennifer Aniston body yes that was a funny towards "Friends". Aswell with David Schwimmer playing Dewey in Stab especially since he plays Ross as Monica's (Courtney Cox) brother on "Friends" lol.
3. Originally it was supposed to be Ms. Loomis hiring Derek and Hallie as the killers and Mickey as the supportive friend but it got leaked so they changed it to Ms. Loomis and Mickey as the killers. I'm happy though that they decided to not do another boyfriend killer like the 1st one.
Really nice video! I was a teen in the 90s and I loved Scream 1 & 2 (3 not so much). This brings back memories to see someone experiencing it for the first time. Thanks.
The movie ends on the clock tower because we were supposed to see Ghostface in it. They ended up using a rehearsal shot without him.

I agree with you on the weird sorority girls looking suspicious. When i first watched this i thought it was them, it's only recently i learned that the writers had them as potential killers in one ending they had written, but went with a different one.
I think you'll agree the most tense scene to watch was in the cop car having to climb over the killer lol.
Everyone liked/loved Randy and for good reason. Killing him off was a bit of a mistake.
That wasn't a cheek puncher, it's an ear canal puncher and popular culture reference this all the time like in comments people are always talking imagine being stabbed in the ear like scream restroom so yeah not cheek.

Oh and Matthew Lillard (Stu) He had an uncredited cameo appearance as "Guy at Party" @ the frat party in Scream 2.. Him and Neve started dating while filming Scream and were together for little over 2 years. He would come visit on set all the time so they made him a extra lol. You can barely see him it's a little blurred you just see a blond hair cause that what he had lol and can hear him talking to someone in the background. If you look it up on Google there are pictures that points him out and then anytime you go back and watch you can easily find him
This was definitely the best one of the series you may enjoy the other films Scream 3 And Scream 4 too even though they are not as exiting or amusing as the first two but still fun times to go through yeah

You're definitely right! 2 is the best for sure. Then 1, then 3 (which is still amazing). 4 is the worst by a LONGSHOT. These newer generations don't have brain cells sorry not sorry.

A horror film I would recommend is the original Ring, the Japanese version with subtitles. I think it's usually titled Ringu to differentiate from the American remake.

Scream 4 is actually good. It was just ahead of its time. Ppl didn’t like it in 2010 but Usually ppl who watch it in 2021 like it.

So for in this movie it's a pretty easy of a break down on which killer did what.
Ms. Loomis was only interested in Gale obviously since she was constantly on her heals lol and Sidney but she couldn't risk Sidney seeing her till she was ready. Gale because she literally wrote a book about her son and how she helped Sidney to kill her beloved angel of a son lol. Sidney for also obvious reason cause she did kill her son and her mom was what broke her family. Dewey was a collateral he was someone that Gale really cared for like how Billy was someone she cared for. Randy was never the target he didn't play any critical role in her son's death it was meant for Gale hense the statement "why are you even here Randy". But he answered her phone and talked bad about her son so she got knife happy.
Mickey was the actual copy cat he gave the tickets to Phil Steven's and Maureen. Also killed CiCi, obviously Hallie and Derek. He was only allowed to torment Sidney which he did mentally but she was to be left alive for Ms. Loomis to act on her revenge

I love scream 2 more but I didn’t like the scene when ghostface was at Sydney’s play and the singing scene but that’s it’s and 4 just had a weird filter and i didn’t like the characters and the blood had a weird brown Color but I still loved the tone gore and the action and locations and the reveals
now you must watch 3 and 4. 3 at least to finish up the trilogy and the story. you gotta see how it ends. but not really cuz there's 4. 4 was supposed to be the start of a new story with new characters. the original characters were supposed to set it up for them but it ended up differently. there is a completely new cast of young actors now going through the same stuff but the original cast is in there as well. Can't wait for part 5 to come out.
I really recommend Scream 4. I know a lot of people don’t like it but I really enjoy it! I actually just watched it last night!!!!

Ok gale wrote the book but how did they get it so accurate when no-one witnessed the first murder take place except the killer and he died so he didn't tell.
If you do watch the Alien movies, I recommend the theatrical cut of Alien and the extended cut of Aliens.

The fact you suggest the cult idea is actually funny. Originally, for Part 3, the idea was that there was going to be a cult who were being given instructions by a killer in jail. Unfortunately, the idea was scraped for Scream 3, and Kevin Williamson ended up reusing the idea for the TV series The Following.
Please do Scream 4. It's my favorite sequel.

Scream made fun of scary movie rules and a running joke especially around this time is black people are the first to die in a scary movie. Which also makes the beginning of this movie predictable if you are going by scary movie tropes and Clichés.

what's it like to be in a sorority? Well I'm a guy so I can't really say but I did date a sorority girl in 2017 and she lived with two other sorority girls and I would imagine that it's sort of like sitting around and thinking that the smallest problems in the world are massive problems while your boyfriend is about 5 years older than you and is sitting there realizing that you have a rude awakening when the real world punches you in the mouth. Haha

Scream 3 is the conclusion of the story, so you definitely need to see it.
The 4th one I don't really like, and tries to be a "remake"
to be fair, the point of scream 4 is to commentate on horror remakes and reboots of horror franchises, which were insanely popular at the time to the point of being exhausting. for years, studios were churning out remake after remake of popular franchises without really taking things to the next level or doing anything new, innovative or creative. that's why they're deconstructing remakes and reboots in the movie; the rules have changed, the landscape of horror has changed, and scream is there to address it and subvert it.
