When you said that Tatum was hanging by the garage door, I laughed out loud because it soundly like she was just casually chilling in the garage drinking a beer, but really she's physically hanging by it. so yeah that was funny!

    Fun Facts:
    - So when Tatum said to Dewey that the janitor is your superior its true cause the janitor at the school that was dressed as Freddy Krueger was Wes Craven who directed the Scream-Scream 4 lol.
    - So before Scream came out caller ID was not popular at all. The Caller I.D sales in the U.S tripled after Scream was released lol.
    - Billy AND Stu were at Casey's and used their girlfriends as Alibis for being out. Stu was on the patio with Steve while Billy was in the front tormenting her on the phone. The question about "Which door am I at" was a trick question. Stu ran to the front door to let Billy in you can hear the front door open before she went outside through the kitchen. When her mom was hearing Casey breathing on the other end of the phone line you can hear one talking to another saying "tree" and the the phone ends. Also when Steve was tied up he was looking both directions of the house.
    - Wes Craven lol to get his actors into character emotionally like Drew Barrymore (Casey) and Neve Campbell (Sidney) right before he start to film he would run up to them and tell them something terrifying. With Drew Wes Craven would tell her real-life stories of animal cruelty to bring out her emotions lol.
    - Roger L. Jackson was the voice of Ghostface for all of Scream movies. For every film the actors were never allowed to meet him before or see him during filming so that way when they were on the phone with him it would give them that real fear effect. Wes Craven always kept him hidden from the others to where they couldn't see him but he was still able to see them. He also improved a lot of his lines aswell.
    - Neve Campbell was originally going to say "no" to the film as she is especially afraid of horror movies. But when hearing her co-star Skeet Ulrich from The Craft (1996) was going to appear, she agreed. They did both movies back to back that same year.
    - They casted Skeet Ulrich as Billy Loomis and gave him the same kind of hair style cause of how close he looked like to young Johnny Depp in Nightmare on Elm Street who also climbed in through a bedroom window. His last name Loomis is a reference to Dr. Loomis in Halloween.
    - Also when he climbed through her window the first time "Fear the Reaper" was playing. He climbed through her window to distract her and turned on her stereo to cover up the background noise of Stu kidnapping her dad. If notice he was wearing the same outfit at the end.
    - The news lady that was harassing Sidney "how does it feel to almost being butchered" that's Linda Blair from the Exorcist.
    - If look really closely when Billy was "stabbed" in the bedroom you can see Stu adding the fake blood onto the knife before wiping it off.
-Casey's comment about Nightmare on Elm Street about how the first was good but the rest sucked. It's because Wes Craven only did the first one and didn't direct all of the other ones lol.
-Kenny actually saved Sidney in his literal final moment AFTER his throat got slashed. He pointed to the back and told her "door" so she could crawl out.
    - Ghostface in the bathroom was a prank on Sidney it wasn't either Billy or Stu.
    - Rose McGowan(Tatum) was actually able to fit through the cat door. They had to staple her shirt to the door cause she kept falling out. Also just before her head got smashed in she herself added calling out "mom" and Wes loved it and kept it in cause it gave her last moments of humanity. Rose also picked out her own outfits for her character. The jersey she wore with #10 was also a reference to Johnny Depp in Nightmare on Elm Street.
    - When Billy hit Stu in the head with the phone it was a accident on Skeets part. The fake blood was so sticky and ended up hitting Matthew Lillard instead of the desk and his "Oww You hit me with the phone D***" was a real reaction to it. Wes loved it aswell so he kept it lol. Matthew also improved most of his kitchen scene with his lines like with "Houston we have a problem" "the peer pressure" and the comment about his parents going to be so mad lol.
    - That WHOLE kitchen scene took 5 days to shoot because of the amount of high energy that was used as well with the fake blood (corn syrup dyed red).
    - Neve Campbell and Matthew Lillard actually started dating while filming Scream and were together for little over 2 years. So that whole "I've always had a thing for you Sid" was true lol. He originally auditioned for Billy but the casting didn't believe that Sidney would date someone like him lol. So he ended up getting Stu and Skeet got Billy cause of his look alike to Johnny Depp. Funny thing is even though the casting thought that about Matthew they ended up dating real life anyways 😂
    - When Billy got stabbed with the umbrella the 2nd time it actually hit Skeet where he had heart surgery when he was younger so that scream he let out was his real action to the pain.
    - Drew Barrymore was supposed to play Sidney. But she ended up changing her mind and went to Wes with a idea to have her as the open kill cause no one would expect it. Also would show if they could kill off a huge star right off the bat it would mean NO ONE was safe. It was the BIGGEST surprise shock effect for the audience cause they assumed she would be the leading character and they played into the with the publicity.
-Even though Billy was at Sidneys for the attack. It was actually Stu who she fought with when he was tripping up the stairs you can hear ghostface saying "easy" "easy". The next day at the lockers he was checking his face in Tatums mirror for any bruises and when Tatum was hitting him with her sucker he says "easy" "easy.
-Billy was always 1 handed with his killing if he had a knife if didn't he resorts to choking except for Tatum he used the opportunity with the garage door. He gave a signal look to Stu at the front door that Tatum was dead. Stu uses both hands when using the knife and resorts to other tactics if doesn't have knife like the both times he fought Sidney.
-Stu was the one that called Dewey about the abandon car and also called Randy about the principal after the whole "I'll be right back". Billy killed the principal so they can use him as a deploy for later that night to get rest of the guests to leave so the real party can began.
    - Dewey was supposed to die in this one but Wes Craven and everyone just loved David Arquette and how he played his character. They all fell in love with him so at the end Wes had Dewey do the thumbs up to show the audience that he survived.

I love that whole scene when Randy (Jamie Kennedy) was watching Halloween by himself and telling Jamie Lee Curtis to turn around that he's behind you lol. Wes was wanting to be creative with playing with their really names. He was telling himself that he Jamie needed to turn around lol. The way Wes Craven creates those little things is amazing and brilliant!
    - Also, I don't know if you caught on to it but the whole last 20-30mins everything that was happening around the house it was perfectly mirroring with what was happening in Halloween lol

Three things that I love about this franchise:
    1. Ghostface is a actual human person that's killing people its not like a Freddy Krueger, Jason or Michael Myers. Scream is something that can actually happen in real life and that's what makes it relatable and frightening. Making Ghostface somewhat clumsy made it as a realistic human. (Also, the robe is very easy to trip over.) I love the mystery of who done it.
    2. The self awareness about horror movies and how Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson plays on it.
    3. Typically in horror movies its always the killer that continues on the franchise with a whole new cast to kill off. But in Scream it's the opposite its the "final girl" who carries on the franchise who's fighting against different killers who's portraying as Ghostface.
    - it's interesting with Ghostface how he seems intimidating and unkillable when hiding behind the mask. But once it comes off for the revealing it's like he or she become vulnerable and then ends up getting killed. It's kind of like how people hide behind computer and phone screens they come off as aggressive and intimidating always picking a fight. But then when comes to dealing one on one in person exposed they become complete opposite and are actually weak.

A little backstory of how Scream got created.
Kevin Williamson wrote the story, originally titled Scary Movie, and based the plot loosely on the 1990 case of the Gainesville Ripper. It was a string of murders in a small town... Then it was changed to "Scream" cause the Ghostface costume was a close resemble to the Scream painting. The Ghostface costume was originally going to be all white but Wes Craven said it was to much like the KKK so he did the black robe with white face. Kevin wanted to create a story that has horror but also with some comedy of making it a self aware with the horror universe. But also use a relatable story that truly happened as a base line. So many Directors wanted to be apart of it there was even a big bidding war. He chose Wes Craven cause he was the only one who truly understood the story and his vision. Kevin wrote majority of the franchise and Wes Craven directed all of the Scream movies except for the new one "Scream 2022". He died after making the 4th.
The title of "Scary Movie" ended up being used for the parody movies. The 1st Scary Movie was about Scream, Scream 2, I know what you did last summer, the Blair witch project, Urban Legend, the sixth sense, The usual suspects, the Matrix, a very brief Dawson's Creek. .

11:32 - They filmed this in the California Wine Country. They wanted to go for an "all-American" look, and in the process created what I still think is one of the most beautifully shot American horror movies of all time.
12:40 - "And it probably was him!" I love watching _Scream_ reaction videos for precisely this reason, seeing who manages to correctly guess the killers. "I'm sorry, that's the wrong answer!"
    13:59 - As I was saying.
14:45 - I'm the opposite, I don't think I can possibly watch _Friends_ without seeing Monica as Gale.
16:53 - That is why Billy Loomis is still such a great killer. He is all too human in a way that most slashers aren't, not just in the fact that he's not unstoppable as Ghostface but in that his motives are so recognizable.
22:47 - It was the '90s. School shootings weren't a "thing" like they are today. In fact, I'd argue that the Columbine High School massacre really killed this sort of teen horror movie by making it hit way too close to home for its target audience.
    25:32 - Damn right.
27:23 - "Keep going, keep going! Yeah, that's it!" Fun fact: Skeet Ulrich actually got stabbed in that scene because the stuntwoman couldn't see through the Ghostface mask and missed the protective pad under his shirt. Worse, the umbrella hit an old wound from open-heart surgery. That take was used in the final film; his scream of agony was real.

One of my favorite movies. I didn't know it would be that scary. When it was released, the journalists used the word "parody" to describe it so I thought it was more like a dark comedy - basically Scary Movie before Scary Movie. It introduced me to the genre before I started to watch every "Nightmare on Elm Street", "Friday the 13th" and "Halloween".
Williamson said he was partially inspired by "Friday the 13th Part 6 - Jason Lives" which was a sequel with a lot of self awareness and humor in it.

Not sure if you saw this in your trivia rundown Ash but a huge plot twist happens immediately at the start of the movie.
Before the release the trailers heavily marketed that this was a Drew Barrymore film placing her front and center in almost all promotional material. It was really building her up to be our main protagonist which made sense since her popularity was rising at the time
Then she's killed like 10 minutes in which had audiences completely shocked and confused setting up the fact that now nothing's off limits and anything can happen

3 is a weird one, because of colombine murders the studio didn't want it to be gory at all and they had another writer. 2 is really solid though, lots of people even prefer it to 1 but I agree that 1 and 4 are super good, 1 is just perfect and 4 is surpringly great after a decade hiatus which could have been a disaster really. I'm actually super worried about being the first film not directed by Wes, I really hope they won't mess up this really good franchise.

There's a video here on youtube that shows you who the killer was in each scene, Stu or Billy. you need to have watched the movie at least once or twice to be able to tell who was under the Ghost Face mask. Stu like to hold the knife in both hands over his head which he did a couple of times in the movie.
According to the writers Billy was the one the phone with Casey at the start of the movie. Stu was outside and killed Steve. Billy goes after Casey at first but after getting knocked down and you can actually hear Billy making a painful sound, Stu continues the chase and kills Casey. this has been confirmed by Kevin williamson who wrote the movie. Later Billy calls Sydney. Stu was the one inside the house and when kicked he can hear Stu grunting in pain. Billy then enters through the window. At Tatum and Dewey's house, Stu called Sydney because Billy was in jail and wouldn't be able to call without getting caught. this was also used as an alibi for Billy.
The Ghostface in the bathroom was neither Billy or stu. it was a prankster. notice he didn't even have a knife. it was probably one of the guys in the principal's office. Also Billy killed the Principal.
The ghost face in the bushes is said to be Billy stalking Tatum and Sydney.
Billy is the one that kills Tatum with the garage door. When Tatum hits him you can hear Billy's grunts. Later when Billy shows up at the door he punches Stu in the arm as this is supposed to be his signal that he kill Tatum. Stu was the one that closed the door and locked it though.
Obviously it's Stu chasing Sydney after he pretended to kill Billy in the bedroom at the party. Stu was also the one standing behind Randy as he watched the tv. What's funny is the Skeet Ulrich, the actor who plays Billy was in the Ghostface costume in this scene but yet it's supposed to be Stu. Stu also killed Kenny the cameraman.
While stu was outside checking on Gale to see if she was dead, Billy was inside and ran into Dewey who he attacked. It's assumed that Randy saw Stu getting out of his costume and took off while Stu was chasing him and they both ran into sidney.
for part 2, Mickey killed both people at the theater.
    Mickey killed Cici.
Mrs. Loomis is the one that calls Sidney and then attacks her during the party. Mickey is outside with a couple of the girls.
While rehearsing at the theater, Mickey is the one that shows up there and scares Sidney.
Randy is called and murdered by Mrs. Loomis.
Mickey sent the email to Sidney while in the library.
Gale and Dewey are attacked in the classroom by both Mrs. Loomis and Mickey. Mrs. Loomis did most of the attack. Mickey was in the projection booth video taping the whole thing. they saw him up there but then Mrs. Loomis pops up behind gale. you can actually hear a woman's gasp when she gets hit. She is also the same height as gale.
Mrs. Loomis is the one that attacks GAle and dewey in the soundroom. Mickey has already left is going after Sidney and Halle.
Mickey later admits to killing the police officer escorting Sidney away, as well as Sidney's boyfriend and Halle.

I think one thing that people really overlook, is when Sydney survives the first attack, they always give her credit for fighting back and all this s***. Which is fine, but the plan the entire time was for her to live until the end of the movie they needed to have Billy be the scapegoat that gets cleared so they had no intention of actually killing her at her house. I think honestly if they really wanted to kill her at her house she would be dead. I mean they completely failed in the end but had they done it there I would bet any amount of money that she would have died. She did not live because of her fighting she lived because they wanted her to. But by the end of the movie she made them pay for not killing her then. I truly hope she dies in the fifth movie though as much as I love her and believe me when I say scream is in my top three favorite movies which for me I'm a huge movie fan that means a hell of a lot. I've been watching it since I was about 9 years old and I love Sydney but it's time

Great reaction. Glad I found your channel. Would love to see you react to the Nic cage movie Mandy. A art house meets grindhouse revenge flick.

I missed you. Checking weekly for hopes of new reaction. Oh if only I could visit the 🇬🇧 to meet you and collaborate on movies and food 🎬🌻💙
...by the way real people that do this in real life scare all of us by the creeps loads.
I mean most times there's a murder on local news I check to make sure it's domestic violence and not some random psycho killing random people.

Hey thank you for the video! Loved both part, do you think you will react to Scream 3 and 4? Imo 4 will surprise you :D Also Scream 5 (will be called Scream) will release on June 22th 2022 with the original cast and it should be a direct sequel to 4.

Would have been better to not look into who was the cast in the sequels.

I like the first scream. Part 4 is good too.
Warning part 3 isn’t that great

Rather than doing *Scream* part *3 & 4* I'd rather see you do *scary movie*

Scream was ok but not that the movies u need to do reaction videos to r " The DeSent","DeSent 2", " Wrong Turn",& " Wrong Turn 2", if u want jump scares and got do reaction videos to those movie I'd love to see your reaction to good horror movie i dont even have Scream on my top horror movie list i found it to be really boring and dull
