Our daughter spent a winter season in Nelson. It has to be one of the best little towns in the world. We went for the skiing but the roads would be fantastic in summer. BC is so beautiful.
I live in the Kootenays. I never get tired of riding the Kootenays. But I often head off to see family in Kelowna; sometimes through Beaverdell, and sometimes through Osoyoos.
Hi - just found your channel. I like what you are presenting. Just pure joy of riding a motocycle. Sensible riding :) And such a lovely scenery Canada can offer - some of it looks a whole lot like my own country, Norway (though in a larger scale ;) )
I'm looking to buy a CB500X as well. I currently own a 2017 Harley SGS used for touring but now looking for an adventure bike to add because the guys I ride with also have adventure bikes and do that as well. After researching, the CB500X is just an awesome bike with a great price point and will handle better if you go off road then those big 1200 series.
Love your vlog, Megan! And Canada...what a beautiful country. Scenery is stunning, not that different from what we got here in Norway. Wild nature, vast open landscapes, snowy mountains, lakes. Like in Norway, you really get a feel for that pristine, untouched nature. I just love that! To take it in and take part of living an active life with a motorcycle, share experiences and just...ride on. Ride on.
Geir thank you so much for watching and commenting. I have yet to discover Norway, but have heard many comparisons between our beautiful countries, as you mentioned. We are certainly the lucky ones to be able to enjoy such incredible landscapes on two wheels. Safe riding!
Just came back from Whistler. I was skiing but couldn’t help but notice the amazing motorcycle roads. I’d love to come back on the bike and do some exploring. Enjoyed your video very much. 😊
Megan Kaptein I haven’t pulled that one off but I have been lucky enough to snowboard and whitewater kayak in the same weekend. You’ve now established a new goal for me. 😊
Hey Megan! Shifting to Vancouver in September! Learning how to maintain and fix my own bike until then. Can't wait to get there and start riding in the Summer of 2021! I know it's a long way off but this road is on my list now! Thanks for the video! Going to binge on this series.
Have you done the road from Kaslo to New Denver? If not I HIGHLY recommend it! One of my absolute favorite roads! I heard as well from a local that an elderly gentleman even sweepsthe corners of debris. awesome channel just discovered it:)
@@MeganKaptein I saw that afterwards haha. Amazing road. The going to the sun road in Montana is an amazing ride if you haven't done that one yet. Feels like you are in Europe riding through there, too bad the borders are still closed. Ride safe! Keep up the great content 👏
Wow, your country is so amazingly beautiful. I've been to BC as a child, camping with my parents. But I was too young to appreciate it. I would love to go back there again. This time on my CB1100. BC is so gorgeous I would love to move there, except I couldn't bring most of my guns LOL

Much respect... some of those early inexperienced rides you took were a testament to your tenacity, and now you're reaping the benefits ;) I'm from Vancouver originally, but grew up in So California. No matter how many times I take my wife (Filipino) up to Canada, she's always ready for more. Banff, Kootenays, Whistler, Vancouver; some of the most beautiful rides and places on the planet. She's been itching to visit again... As soon as Covid is behind us, we'll be riding north!
Nice! I've been obsessed with British Columbia for its nature and spectacular cities (my favourites are Vancouver and Victoria but I know there are many more. Nelson seems nice too). I'm really digging those road trips although I'm not a motorcycle guy. I'd probably do that in a car. The other day I watched a cross-country trip where these dudes travelled from Ontario to British Columbia in a rental car. They couldn't fly because of the pandemic. Canada's countryside is inspiring.
Tim, thanks for watching. Obviously my passion is for two wheels, but no matter how you travel, Canada is indeed a beautiful country with inspiring scenery! I think train would be a really neat way to see the country too!
Hi Megan, thanks for sharing BC wildlife and nature scenery! It looks amazing. Keep sharing these places so maybe one day I can rent a CBX 500 and do a similar trip. Regards from Ecuador.

I live in the East Kootenays (Ex-Brit, arrived here 12 years ago.)... this was a great video to watch... was in Nelson area for a month last summer... the riding was superb... hope you gave the Kaslo / new Denver (31a) a go... the twisties on the east side of kootenay lake, Crawford bay to Creston are really good fun too.
