This video came out at the perfect time. My toddler is starting to misbehave to just to try to get a reaction out of me. I have to walk away sometimes.

I"m so glad you found it helpful! When my toddler does this, I've found it's often because she has an unmet need of needing more connection with me. Like maybe I've been on my phone or working a lot that day and she doesn't feel close to me.
So I always try to stop what I'm doing and spend some really focused time being present with her by reading books, playing outside together, etc or by involving her in what I'm doing (like letting her help me clean and cook). It can be so hard to remember to fill their little cups up, but it makes for such a smoother day for both of us.

@@WildMother I'm pretty sure that's why she is doing it. I'm often busy and she doesn't like to play independently very much. I need to remember to be present with her. Thank you!

Hi there. I'm just coming across this way of parenting! It sounds like it's exactly what my family needs. My children are 7 and 18mo, where can I start?

Awesome, I'm so happy for you, it will change the game for you. Janet Lansbury is an incredible resource. She has books and a podcast that are both really helpful! I also love @themellowmama on RUclips and IG
