I have problems with the hold over the head which I believe is due to back and shoulder tightness. Any specific stretches to improve flexibility in this area for better R.O.M.?
From my vast knowledge as a fully certified youtube commenter (and also as one who used to have a very bruised plate of bone above the penis), you might have to adjust your grip width in order to accommodate, or do what some lifters do which is to bend at the arms a little bit to hold the bar up a little higher.
how do you avoid hitting the plate of bone above the penis? im new to olympic lifting and when i go to full extension sometimes the bar hits that plate of bone, especially when i use heavier weights
Hello, i started doing snatches and stumbled upon this video. I have long arms and my starting position with the bar would be a bit lower than what you recommend. Is that okay? Thank you!
Hnnnnnng. I'm having trouble hitting the squat position from the second pull and always find myself shrugging the bar upwards rather than getting under it. I use mental queues up until the second pull but find it hard to shrug and drop at the same time
Is this a normal 7ft olympic bar she's using in the video? I want to buy an olympic bar but I'm not sure if I should go for 6ft or 7ft because of space issues.

Do the traps stay flexed when performing the turnover? I understand they are flexed through the triple extension, but do they remain engaged thereafter?

I don't really understand, if you don't pull with the arms , are you going under the bar ? or you jump and so the bar goes over your head and then you're placing your hands ? 'cause its seems really similar to me :S
The version where you land in a squat snatch...how much weight do your athletes do vs full snatch max? My previous (pre car accident) full snatch max was 100kg. yesterday I did the power position squat snatch with 90kg for 2 and it felt like a warm up. This exercise is new to me, so I'm just trying to see where my weights are vs where they should be. Thanks!

Please folks do not teach people to explicitly jump in the snatch - the second pull is a longer movement and the impact area is right below your belly button rather than the upper part of your hips
