Good video Phil, This is now also on my bucket list. Sadly, I am way behind you... We are still following your tracks in Peru North-bound! The inspiration continues. Also - you music choices are great - many now on our overland playlist!

Don't worry you have plenty of time to catch up and empty that bucket. Thanks for the compliment regarding the ♬ ♬.

Howdy Phil! Not sure that is route finding as much as route blazing! Wow what a trail…find any bodies? Where did you get that skull on the front of your brush guard? Thanks for sharing! Saddle up and blaze on! 🤠🇺🇸🇨🇱🥃

Yes, you could call it route blazing. Nothing subtle when confronted by two meter high read beds. The skull comes from Mexico. Bought it there a couple of years ago while overlanding the Americas.

A fantastic journey! I am surprised there were not more animals around the water, but you did get a good view of the bull! What year is your Defender? Chris B.

It was a fantastic journey. Sometimes you can get trapped for hours by elephants in the swampy bits. This is a 1999 TD5 Defender.

No, it went away after reving the willies out of the engine trying to get up some huge dunes in the Namib desert. Maybe the hydrolic valve lifters started working normally again.
