I have also been thinking about my food a lot more recently - I grew up praying before meals and I had stopped that, but am trying again to say thanks to the sun, bees, water, all the hands that helped get this food to me to nourish me (so many people + lil microscopic guys! to thank! Even food from my own garden, I wanna say thanks to the seed keepers too whose seeds I planted) + when you said you don't know what you've done to deserve help + abundance - I got the reminder recently that we're deserving of all these good things just by existing alone !

your channel brings me such a sense of peace and joy, ever since i discovered natural building and cob last year ive been working towards how to achieve this kind of life, a life where i can be outside in nature and know where my food comes from, and enjoy the fruits of my labor. im renting right now with no outdoor space but ive been brainstorming of guerilla bench building in the sandlot next to my apartment, just to play with some mud! it’s kinda funny how hard im working to “downgrade” to a simpler life, in a depressing kind of way that humans have always ancestrally lived is essentially locked behind a paywall in todays world. peace and love thank you for sharing this with us!! have a great day i hope you see a pretty bird ❤
@@themothjam that sounds so awesome!!!! guerilla cob bench!!! pls share with me somehow if you end up doing it! (maybe email?) i would love to see that project. and yes i agree! even a lot of natural building workshops cost a LOT of money… and you must buy land… and this and that and zoning regulations and building permits… and mean neighbors reporting you if you are doing it incognito. but what i’ve learned is that there are still ways and still many humans doing it regardless. and that inspires me. and there are cheap options! work trade! reaching out! the internet is also just such a beautiful resource connecting many people who are looking to live in this way. i have seen pretty birds today! i hope you do too (: peace + love my friend
about the monk skincare thing: Skincare ruined my skin. I experimented for years with different routines until eventually it got to the point where it looked like i had leprosy or some shit so i threw out all my skincare and just rinsed in the morning and nighttime with likewarm water. Within days my skin did this weird thing where it looked super oily and like scabbed i think?? It was super weird for like 1.5 months then it was just like regular acne but wayyy less bad then when i did skincare. I did a bunch of research and realized that people with clear skin are the ones that use nothing on their faces and never think about it, because your skin being clear or not has nothing to do with getting all the “dirt and grime and impurities” off, if you have acne its because theres something wrong, some sort of imbalance. sometimes skincare can act as a bandaid but more times than not it just disrupts the skin barrier and makes things worse. i would suggest to anyone to try not using skincare for a few months and get past the initial flairup, not just stopping for like a week and being like “oh its worse id better start using it again.” If u dont have clear skin after that just accept u havent won the skin lottery and see a dermatologist. The monks probably had clear skin because they lived so healthily that they didnt have any sort of imbalances or hormone problems that are a result of modern life.

thank uuuu and west doesn't particularly want their info shared publicly, but how i found them was through following the newsletter of a natural builder based in california (earthenshelters)!
