probably the "Unlimited Recalcitrance" just counters debuffs, the "Ethereal Foray" buffs, and the "Beguiling Teeth" costs too much stamin or is some kind of flirt for a pacifist run
@@tekgewet I don't feel like they would ban it tho. With the absurdly low HP stat of a human playstyle, this stray gives more of a high risk high reward kinda play style. It enhances the ingenuity of combat for all human player who do not take the "militant" sub-class, and with the remedy or medication exploit, this stray could be resolved pretty easily. Alas, the devs may know better of what the inner workings of cheats and coding. Overall, I hope they provide a more proficient but intense playstyle for Humans and Plants.
This is my favorite video of yours. [Continue] is my favorite character, he seems to just embody determination. He takes his teeth out and uses them to fight, kills [Quit] when he keeps taunting him, and drags the corpse to triangle head, who’s being kept by complex. [Continue] knows he can’t beat complex, but restarts his own heart when he dies. He throws the corpse to triangle, who feeds on it and meets someone who helps him to deal with his indecision. He takes the face off this angel and wears it himself, gaining a mask of assured decisiveness. He awakes and jumps up the pit, defeating complex in one blow, while saying “hello and goodbye” to [continue]. It took me several watches to get what was happening, but I love this video so much. I'm coming back to this artist's work a year after writing this comment, and I only now noticed that Triangle gets stabbed in the head by the falling knife, after it's knocked down the hole. This really is a work that needs to watched one frame at a time...
I also noticed that while he was fighting ‘complex’ a mirror was brought and used in a shield like way 1:14 (if it is a mirror). That definitely means something. Being able to see that [Continue] couldn’t stab it, crack it, or break it at all. This is great art

I keep coming back to this one out of all the series' videos, it's the one that hits the hardest personally--the desperation and rage is so visceral as someone who struggles a lot w/ depression, and "cry out so that none may ignore" is SO real for mentally ill artists in general I think. The self-destruction that can only be solved by crying out in a way that illustrates what you're going through to everyone else...good fuckin shit man, amazing work as always
I find it interesting how I and probably most humans root for the more human character in situations of conflict. Even in an animation as distorted as this where the aesthetics of humanity have been corrupted by messy scribbles and incoherent noises, I still felt empathetic towards Fluffy black head shirtless guy. I wanted him to win just because he seemed the most human out of all the others. It's a cool device. The same that makes the Resistance vs Storm troopers or Mankind vs the Orcs work. By making one team comparatively more human than the other, we immediately identify them as the "good guys" even without any dialogue, story or context. This is of course not always the case like when humans are supposed to be the villains like in Avatar (James Cameron) and Detroit: Become Human but again, this can only be established by providing the audience a clear context that the non-humans are under attack and are victims of mankind's atrocities and ironically, making the non-humans behave and feel more human than the biological humans. All that aside, cool animation. Saw it last night. Creeped me out. Watched again this morning. Pretty edgy but more creepy than cringy so I'd like to see more. SUBSCRIBED.

What you're saying here is really interesting because i was actually siding with the ghost guy, from the moment i first saw it it became my favourite character. I'm personnaly more afraid of fluffy head guy, as he seems more threatening and monster-like to me
@@coconuty4705 i see where you're coming from. honestly, Crutches kinda creeps me out; it has no real emotion, and ends up becoming this weird mass of sheets and hands. the dog creature is more beastlike in appearance, but seems to be a partial form of comic relief. also he's acting in good will with reasonably easy-to-assume intentions. Crutches is just fighting people, and personally i have no clue why.
The exchange between [white smile guy] and [the main character] was visually horrifying but the conversation was absolutely heart wrenching. "Cry out so that none may ignore" made me sob. You are a BEAST at animation and storytelling! You don't get as much recognition as you deserve!!
This series is the most underrated piece of art I've ever seen on this site. Keep them coming, I'm sure these videos will have millions of views in just a couple of months. But regardless of views, the artstyle is just something else.
There's something about this artwork that I can't describe. The music, it's calming, and cool, yet creepy. And the characters are just amazing and also creepy as well (which I find cool). I feel like I could describe something about this, but I can't. And it's weird because I usually don't like these type of videos, but this one, this was the only one that I actually liked. Love how we're getting some sort of continuity between videos, as it seems to pick up from "[Continue?]", and now we see that creature carry the body to the place from "The.Complex", might be missing some other details but that's what i noticed from first glance. Great content nonetheless, really love your style.

This art style, character design and just oddity reminds me of the Hylics series and I like to think they are in the same universe but different timelines. I love stuff like this, its super interesting.
This isn't the dark side of RUclips. The message that ends up being rather positive as seen in this video is simply conveyed in a dark way. The metaphors for very real situations here are brilliant.

After seeing the film theory video on this series, and then watching this back, seeing the phrase "Cry out so that none may ignore" in 3:09 makes me kinda happy and relieved that the main character gets advice to not be afriad of showing his weak side.
My Theory: [This is only speculation, don't fight me on this, I do not presume myself to be correct!] The Teru Teru Bozu dude, the "Quiet" dude in "The.Complex" can be seen in "Consequences"- and he's in this video. It looks as if "Quiet Guy" is watching over a pit that contains Triangle Head. Some sort of prison. Quiet must be some sort of warden or guard keeping watch over him. Dog-Tooth, the ... well, dog-headed guy who uses his teeth as knives- brings the corpse of the Quilled God to the pit, for whatever reason- maybe to bury it, maybe to try and find Triangle Head for whatever reason- only to get into a fight with Quiet. [Before the fight, Triangle seems to "wake up" and look up. Perhaps he senses Dog-Tooth is close? Perhaps he was waiting for rescue?] In the ensuing scuffle, the body of the Quilled God falls into the pit, and Triangle Head promptly feeds on it. [Had he been starved? Is he taking the power/strength from the body by eating from it?] Dog-Tooth charges Quiet with his knife [pausing the video, we can see a sort of game HUD which shows a crossed-out Quilled God, named as "Him". Not sure if this is Quilled's real name.] only for Quiet to grab the knife and throw it away, which strikes Triangle Head in the face. He is transported to a realm where he speaks to Eyeless Dude, who tells him that "The complex is an aberration" and to "cry out". If one has turned on the closed captions, one can see it says "I have wanted to know you in this way for so long" when Triangle removes the Eyeless guy's face, to put it on his own. Perhaps Triangle Head is searching for identity, a purpose. Saying he "didn't know". When he was talking to Eyeless, his face was missing, with only a deep grey simulacrum of a "face" left. Strength seemingly renewed, Triangle Head rises from the pit and attacks Quiet, and the video then soon ends as he vanishes from sight. In the captions, it reads "Hello" and "Goodbye" in Morse code. ... God only knows WHAT all this means. I thought, and I do imagine that Triangle Head was imprisoned for... something. Quiet was charged with looking over him, and Dog-Tooth wanted to get him out? As for what the Quilled God wanted, I am not sure. He looks similar to Triangle Head- maybe they are a similar sort of species. Maybe they are linked in a way. ... I'm probably entirely wrong. But it's fun to make theories. If you have any theory on what all this Boisvert lore is, feel free to tell me! I'd like to hear it. EDIT: OH DIOS MIO, Boisvert liked the comment??? Oh lorddd, I am honoured! EDIT 2: "The Complex is an aberration, yet you have shredded a hole within yourself that only it may fill." I have a feeling that Eyeless is telling Triangle Head that, even though his prison is unnatural, is wrong, he cannot remove himself from it. He has become dependent on it, in some way. In some way, he belongs in the complex...? Maybe this is symbolic of some kind of addiction/dependency on something that is also harmful? Maybe I'm entirely wrong. ... As for "the New Jerusalem", I can't tell if that's religious symbolism or if this place is actually called New Jerusalem. I feel that Eyeless and The Angel are one and the same. They both have the teeth and the many, many arms. Maybe Eyeless is just one manifestation of his form... When Triangle Head removes the face from the Eyeless Angel, the subtitles say "I have wanted to know you in this way for so long". Maybe there is some kind of friendship/relation between these two? Maybe Triangle Head wanted to know more about him? And he craves a connection with others? Not sure... I love these videos.
And the description is: "An ending, a continuation, a beginning." So, is this video a sequel or a prequel? Or a whole new thing? Maybe all of the above? Perhaps this world is stuck in a time-loop. I'm only now watching these videos of yours, despite have seeing them floating in my recommendations and I absolutely adore the creativity in showing these themes of isolation and hurt. It allows itself to be sporadic and make you uneasy while being intricately thought out and beautifully surreal. The video composition is super rad and it doesn't feel like it's trying to be shocking. It just shows the invasion of these emotions as they are, while being subtly third dimensional. For what it is it's really refreshing, and you can tell there's heart in it's visual narrative.
I'm extremely excited to learn more about the wolf. Even though it's very... complex... I'm going to try my best to understand the story. Your work is amazing.

idk if this really means much, but I appreciate that when the, uh, mouthed figure asks Room to answer them quickly and honestly, Room isn't chastised for admitting they don't know. if you can't say "yes" or "no" straight away, it's okay to admit you can't find the answer. someone could help you find it. but you must be honest first. rewatching this months later and maybe I'm closer to really getting it. not "it" as in "what's in the author's head", but "it" as in "the reason it makes my chest burn in a familiar way"
2:59 in this part of the video when he tells Room "cry out" it is as if he is trying to make Room can vent, that he can cry for his sorrows and scream, so when in this part 3:22 those mouths appear, they must be a reference to the screams and cries. that's why his mask in one eye is crying, but in the other eye it has cracks, as if he were a broken soul, I don't know, these are my theories and my interpretation, I hope you like it

This series is the most underrated piece of art I've ever seen on this site. Keep them coming, I'm sure these videos will have millions of views in just a couple of months. But regardless of views, the artstyle is just something else.
There's something about this artwork that I can't describe. The music, it's calming, and cool, yet creepy. And the characters are just amazing and also creepy as well (which I find cool). I feel like I could describe something about this, but I can't. And it's weird because I usually don't like these type of videos, but this one, this was the only one that I actually liked. Amazing video.

After seeing the film theory video on this series, and then watching this back, seeing the phrase "Cry out so that none may ignore" in 3:09 makes me kinda happy and relieved that the main character gets advice to not be afriad of showing his weak side.

My Theory: [This is only speculation, don't fight me on this, I do not presume myself to be correct!]
The Teru Teru Bozu dude, the "Quiet" dude in "The.Complex" can be seen in "Consequences"- and he's in this video.
It looks as if "Quiet Guy" is watching over a pit that contains Triangle Head. Some sort of prison. Quiet must be some sort of warden or guard keeping watch over him.
Dog-Tooth, the ... well, dog-headed guy who uses his teeth as knives- brings the corpse of the Quilled God to the pit, for whatever reason- maybe to bury it, maybe to try and find Triangle Head for whatever reason- only to get into a fight with Quiet.
[Before the fight, Triangle seems to "wake up" and look up. Perhaps he senses Dog-Tooth is close? Perhaps he was waiting for rescue?]
In the ensuing scuffle, the body of the Quilled God falls into the pit, and Triangle Head promptly feeds on it.
[Had he been starved? Is he taking the power/strength from the body by eating from it?]
Dog-Tooth charges Quiet with his knife [pausing the video, we can see a sort of game HUD which shows a crossed-out Quilled God, named as "Him". Not sure if this is Quilled's real name.] only for Quiet to grab the knife and throw it away, which strikes Triangle Head in the face. He is transported to a realm where he speaks to Eyeless Dude, who tells him that "The complex is an aberration" and to "cry out".
If one has turned on the closed captions, one can see it says "I have wanted to know you in this way for so long" when Triangle removes the Eyeless guy's face, to put it on his own.
Perhaps Triangle Head is searching for identity, a purpose. Saying he "didn't know". When he was talking to Eyeless, his face was missing, with only a deep grey simulacrum of a "face" left.
Strength seemingly renewed, Triangle Head rises from the pit and attacks Quiet, and the video then soon ends as he vanishes from sight.
In the captions, it reads "Hello" and "Goodbye" in Morse code.
... God only knows WHAT all this means.
I thought, and I do imagine that Triangle Head was imprisoned for... something.
Quiet was charged with looking over him, and Dog-Tooth wanted to get him out?
As for what the Quilled God wanted, I am not sure.
He looks similar to Triangle Head- maybe they are a similar sort of species. Maybe they are linked in a way.
... I'm probably entirely wrong. But it's fun to make theories.

I have a feeling that Eyeless is telling Triangle Head that, even though his prison is unnatural, is wrong, he cannot remove himself from it. He has become dependent on it, in some way. In some way, he belongs in the complex...?
Maybe this is symbolic of some kind of addiction/dependency on something that is also harmful?
Maybe I'm entirely wrong. ... As for "the New Jerusalem", I can't tell if that's religious symbolism or if this place is actually called New Jerusalem. I feel that Eyeless and The Angel are one and the same. They both have the teeth and the many, many arms. Maybe Eyeless is just one manifestation of his form...
When Triangle Head removes the face from the Eyeless Angel, the subtitles say "I have wanted to know you in this way for so long". Maybe there is some kind of friendship/relation between these two? Maybe Triangle Head wanted to know more about him? And he craves a connection with others? Not sure...

I'm only now watching these videos of yours, despite have seeing them floating in my recommendations and I absolutely adore the creativity in showing these themes of isolation and hurt. It allows itself to be sporadic and make you uneasy while being intricately thought out and beautifully surreal. The video composition is super rad and it doesn't feel like it's trying to be shocking. It just shows the invasion of these emotions as they are, while being subtly third dimensional. For what it is it's really refreshing, and you can tell there's heart in it's visual narrative.

before we continue any speculation i think it should be established what is meant by complex, is this meant to be a novel concept? or is this meant to be a psychological complex, or reffering to something else by name as "complex", it seems critical considering the message in "prelude" like its meant to be driving force in the narrative
also is the furry boy meant to be carrying the corpse of horned guy, so horned guy ends up eating horned guy's corpse, i enterpreted this as consuming who you used to be in order to "put yourself on the right path" so to speak, or maybe because you feel like you need another part of yourself(that youve lost) to move on in life. let me know if im on the mark because theres a lot im trying to put together regarding what any of this means

I used to think that “cry out” here was in despair. In the context of the above quote, I read it instead as, “Something is attacking your peace, destroying your happiness. Call for help, and don’t take ‘no’ for an answer.” That brought tears to my eyes. What a beautiful piece of art.

idk if this really means much, but I appreciate that when the, uh, mouthed figure asks Room to answer them quickly and honestly, Room isn't chastised for admitting they don't know. if you can't say "yes" or "no" straight away, it's okay to admit you can't find the answer. someone could help you find it. but you must be honest first.
rewatching this months later and maybe I'm closer to really getting it. not "it" as in "what's in the author's head", but "it" as in "the reason it makes my chest burn in a familiar way"
