I think MF Ghost CGI animation is combination between Initial D : Final Stage and Initial D : Legend. I'm also excited and worried at the same time about MF Ghost anime. The least thing I hope that there will be Eurobeat. This is tense.
I'd say the reason why some of the scree shots look like flash animations is that the anime is at a very early stage, considering the release is in another year
The only reason why I don't want them to mess this anime up is cuz I don't want it to ruin initial D's reputation tbh I wouldn't want to see pple getting pissed off and shit
Initial D will remain a legend so I don't think it would affect much. More likely people will be mad about it because it doesn't live up to to same standard.
@@Carlos.Rivera i mean yes but no i think it was pretty cool but i think its a bit overkill but tbh how realistic do you want an anime to get anyways tbh compared to other sports anime i think initial d is the minimum

@@BboyVReck thanks, i cannot have it rn because im still underaged and i can't have my license but im almost there. and the prices of the gt86 are still high here in Portugal but i belive it will drop a lil bit
Nah, as long as they're in production you can still get them for a fair price. If they're gonna be more expensive for no reason just suck it in and get another car, there are other good cars in that price range. Honestly just test drive multiple cars when choosing and choose one that you like how it drives.
To me it was rather boring. Some scenes were fun to read, some of Kanata's overtakes were really well done in my opinion and shown almost like those from the initial d manga, but i found moments like this very rare. The plot is a little dull, characters seem generic, and some of the art is really lazy.
Back in the days, the animation and CGI was not the best, but what made the cover up? *Eurobeat!* I don't care about the animation and CGI at all, as long as there is some good ost cover up...
I read a couple volumes of the manga and my hopes arent high. MF Ghost has a takumi problem just like Initial D, the main character is just too good, but its even worse. In Initial D there was at least the exuse of Akina being takumis home course and it was downhill so low horsepower didnt make much of a difference. But in MF Ghost race course is half uphill and half downhill, on the uphills the little 86 manages to keep up with supercars making two or three times the power, and on the downhill takumi 2.0 overtakes literaly everybody. In the first race! like how are we supposed to build up from that? What cars does this guy have to race against for there to be some sort of tension. I stoped reading very quickly because I just got bored, I knew that no matter what happened the main character would win. Initial D differed a decent bit from the manga and I hope that MF Ghost will as well because Im not very impressed with it.
It's because he was fearless, he didn't slow down on the foggy part of the course where most racers slow down, but I do agree, it is kind of bullshitty.
What that guy said was pretty lopsided. MF Ghost is actually pretty good. You have to look back to Initial D and compare. Initial D was nothing but a godly kid who has natural talent in racing with close to no aim but just to drive and deliver tofu for his dad somehow finding the passion to race and become an actual racer at that point. He had no ties to being a hashiriya but then became an actual god on the touge. Almost every episode is about Takumi honing his skills and becoming quicker as the legend as he was together with Keisuke being his "ghost" opponent. MF Ghost is totally different. MF Ghost talks about a kid who has fully been trained to utilize underpowered car by the legendary Takumi as a razorblade like weapon who could eat up big names and faster cars with just a fraction of the power. Also, unlike Initial D who din't have an aim for the protagonist till he finds one, MF Ghost has one early on and they stuck to that. Kanata (The protagonist of MF Ghost) is in Japan looking for his lost dad and he's just absorbed into the world of street racing which is legalized in the manga by the Japanese authorities and also sanctioned by none other than the Takahashi Enterprise which the whole scene is ran by Keisuku and Fumihiro as GM. If you look at it in the eyes of just pure racing action, yea, MF Ghost might be trash but if you're looking at it as a whole, MF Ghost isn't bad.
The protagonist doesn’t gaf about his dad anymore, and no one even really no knows what drives him. And the whole honed to drive an underpowered car thing degrades into just straight plot armor when the MC just blows past super cars in a straight line. No GT86 is doing that. At least with Intial D you could credit the touge roads for the AE86 be able to keep up mechanically. People are probably going to be disappointed by the show, people already are by the manga. Kind of a bummer because it would’ve been cool to have MF Ghost push car culture forward and spark interest in a new generation same way initial d had. But I guess the original show will always be there
The story is pretty bad and so is the art itself, the trailer has really shit looking cars which are a straight downgrade from the CGI in Legend. The action yeah obv sucks because a basically bare bones stock GT86 overtaking tuned hypercars on straights happens. The team on the anime is gonna have to change a lot of the story to stray away from the manga to keep a somewhat positive score.
I read the manga and quite enjoy it maybe because there is so little modern racing or street racing anime out there. So seeing ghost get an anime adaptation is good as I get to see more cars racing and especially modern race cars like the modern Civic, the Ferrari 488 Lamborgini Hurricane etc, and just in general more cars out of the JDM market, I do love JDM cars but in general we haven't seen any cars from Europe or America at all in anime focused in racing. To me just quite refreshing to see just new cars and different cars too all in one series participating in a race. Like the Fiat 500 which Lupin the 3rd uses which is not even a racing anime/series.
or even the original BMW Z4 passing by in Chuunibyou Demo Koi Ga Shitai : Take On Me, which is no way in any shape or form is a racing anime series either
Iam a Japanese Initial D fan. Unfortunately, this work has a very low reputation among the old fans in Japan. There are many reasons for this, including the fact that the world of the future in which the story takes place is too cheap, and that Mr SIGENO is more obsessed with drawing girls' bodies than cars. The biggest failing is that the characters in Initial D are treated so poorly and pathetically. Especially Takumi, who in this story retired due to an accident before he could become a professional driver. Fans who loved the characters are outraged by the story, but those opinions are disguised by stealth marketing. Some people seem to think MFG is good, but various data show that in reality, more people are in despair. To use an analogy, it is similar to the response that occurred with Star Wars ep8. It's very sad to say this, but I think it's best not to get our hopes up.
This car anime has a Lamborghini Huracán, Ferrari 488 GTB, Alfa Romeo 4C, Lotus Exige, and a Toyota GT86 as well as a Nissan GTR (R35) and I think the blue car is an Alpine A110.
I hope that the anime is better than the manga because the manga is slow and the storyline is confusing. If they clean up the story and give it some better pacing, I don't care how unrealistic the racing is. It's time we got a new car anime.
