Good points - another thing to keep in mind is what you're planning to do with it. Certainly worth checking out a used Glock if you're planning on replacing a bunch of parts and milling the slide anyways. Also, some aftermarket parts are specific to Gen3 which should be easy to find used in great condition.

Used Glock is still a Glock. Police trade ins are a heck of a deal too.
