Lighting - Model Railway LED Lamp posts

In this episode I am installing some LED lighting on the model railway. Soldering and installing onto Layout then finish off with some Pictures around the layout.

Good layout and lighting! Can I power led 3v Station lamps off a normal train controller?

Does it matter which wire you put the resistor onto?
