Hi Daniel;) I love that deep tone of Dan's voice! Besides being an excellent singer, he is also a great interpreter. His interpretation is intense and very convincing, he manages to transport us into the song. Thank you for your great reactions and wonderful analysis.
I always love your reactions to Dan, especially your analysis is so awesome. I feel Dan is going for a very introspective expression in the entire first part, like he's talking to himself, which could be why he's keeping the sound very convoluted (closed) inside his chest, and almost whispering. It's almost like his singing backwards while projection the sound outwards, which i like very much, because for me it corresponds very well with the message of the song, and the feeling of being in that dark space.
This is such a great song, from Simon & Garfunkel's original to Disturbed's, and Dan's version. I love the emotion in Dan's cover, as well as the amazing vocal. Your analysis is always so interesting and thoughtfully delivered. Thanks and hopefully, on the next Dan song. I love his version of Boston's More Than a Feeling. He can soar with the original singer's voice.
This is the first cover I heard Dan sing about a year ago and I’ve been a fan ever since. Love your reactions and analysis of his songs - so detailed and thorough! Thank you so much! ❤
Thanks for your reaction and analysis of this - it's always interesting to hear how you would interpret the song. Thankyou also for explaining the musical technicalities which gives a new layer of appreciation for the artist. I was brought up with the Simon and Garfunkel version which I enjoy but now I usually listen to Dan's because I like the power and the grit! 😊😊😊
Thank you for your further reaction and insightful analysis of this epic cover by Dan. Whether Simon and Garfunkel, Disturbed or Dan, they all sang this song brilliantly in their own way. It is always amazing what a brilliant performance lies behind every cover by Dan. thanks for sharing......
I really like the Disturbed version, but now I prefer the rich full voice of Dan Vasc! Dan´s rentition is probably the best ever ! There aren´t many people with a powerful voice like this ! Thank you for your reaction ! 😊
Luckily, I hear the song as a whole and don't have to break it down into its individual parts. 😜. I personally think that this is the best interpretation of The Sound of Silence ever. I am a fan of your reactions. I am already looking forward to your next analysis. Hopefully see you soon 👍
Love your reactions! Dan also has this song from about 4 years prior to this video. Would love to see your reaction to that video compared to where he is at in this one
Glad you're doing Dan again. His version of this song is amazing!!! You should check out Pentatonix's version of this one. It's great & has a totally different feel to it!! Still waiting for you to do Dan's cover of "Bring Me To Life"!!!!! You REALLY NEED TO CHECK IT OUT!!!! Would love to see your reaction & your analysis!!!!!!!
Enjoyed your reaction and analysis, as usual. This one threw me off the first time I heard it because I didn't notice it was a cover of the Disturbed version & had never heard their version either. Both original & this version are great, though. Once I realized this was a different style of the classic, I replayed it & enjoyed it. Dan did a great cover. Thanks, Daniel. 😊
I'm huge Dan Vasc and Tommy Johansson fan. Thank you so much for your interesting reactions! Maybe you'd like to check out Tommy's "Anthem" from the musical Chess sometime. 😉
Thank you Daniel for another great reaction, analysis, appreciation and celebration of Dan’s phenomenal work here! According to Dan’s talk in his previous videos, he went through serious depressions. So, he must have known what the “darkness” was really like… Is that why he had to start the song the way he did? Is that why we feel as if we see a glimpse of what he had to go through? Your interpretation gave me many thoughts on this… Thank you.🙏
Hi Daniel! Love all your reactions, but I need some more Dan, lol. Specifically I need your help understanding how he does what he does in "Black Wind, Fire and Steel". You'll know the part when you hear it! I've only heard two others achieve something similar. I had to rewatch it so many times and I am still dumbfounded. Please explain the mechanics! 😂😂😂 I will let you be surprised.
Please react to Pentatonix cover of Sound of Silence. Also their cover of Bohemian Rhapsody is very very good. Brian May enjoyed it so much he posted it on all his social media sites
He has an amazing voice but copied Disturbed’s version almost exactly, which is unfortunate. I would have loved to hear his own arrangement. Disturbed did an amazing job with this song and it was acknowledged by Paul Simon. In saying that, I do love Daniel’s voice
I'm 60 and love that Brazilian how he sings. He speaks Portugues, but sings always I think in English. I wish he had sung more originals not just covers. Other I don't know If you knowabout is Norways Angelina Jordan "Borned to sing" and furthermore winning AGT 1st melody - later you should listen to her: "I put a spell on you" but an African scares many people. Thats exact the same as Dan Vasc express - want to express. Tell her to take of her blue contact-lenses. Hers are Brown as Dan's. She has such beatiful Hair. But Nails are too long. and she's of mixed parents and her Father is from Persia (Iran) and grandarents too. Her mama is etnic from Norway.
He didn't put his own touch on the song, it's just a pale copy of the original and he's a copycat. You should check out Tommy Johanssons version. He puts his own magical touch on it and it's dedicated to his friend who passed away so you can feel all the emotions when he sings.
His voice is like a warm hug. 🤗❤ Beautiful.
No body can sing this song as good as Dan.it is truly amazing.
Thanks ❤🎉😊
Love your reaction and the following analysis of Dan Vasc’s Sound Of Silence. He is such a brilliant artist. Thank you, look forward to more.
Beautiful performance of this song. Dan's voice has such a awesome tone in his lower register.
Dan only as you can be, and do. 👏💪 🙏. I sincerely hope your plans are successful and blessed Dan
Thank you for this reaction
Thank you for another inspiring reaction to Dan Vasc! He always puts everything into his covers and this one is, once again, very well done.

Thank you, Daniel! Beautiful cover by Dan Vasc.
Thanks for the analysis
Please remember English is not Dan’s first language
right the TH sound doesn't exist in brazilian Portuguese
Love your reactions! Dan also has this song from about 4 years prior to this video. Would love to see your reaction to that video compared to where he is at in this one

Another one to check out, if you haven't already, is Mash Up Shallow/Sound Of Silence by The Dutch Tenors.

Look at Tommy Johanssons version .
Please listen to Quiet outpost by Diana Ankudinova it's very impressive performance😢
Not a patch on Disturbed's version
