One heckuva week! '39 runs so quiet...no rattles or squeaks! Amazing survivor! Looking forward to watching the Sam interview! Happy Birthday Matt! Go Iron Trap, keep moving forward!
When idling, that Ardun engine reminds me of some lines from Lewis Carroll's 1871 poem "Jabberwocky": "The Jabberwock with eyes aflame---Came whiffling through the tulgey wood---And burbled as it came!"
Roadster looked like it went well at the drags, once it was in second gear. You're a brave man putting those mousey seats back in the convertible. They've probably got more diseases than the medieval times.
The VERY 1st RUclips video i've seen. After a decade of watching many different things. Matt used Proper English , saying Steve & I worked on....... Kudos. It was Very refreshing to hear. Yes i grew up with a Mom who is an English Major. So when i hear me & whoever, it's like nails on a chalkboard. Personal thing, i know, but was a breath of fresh air to hear those words. I look forward to seeing the Ardun run & drive. Ty for taking us along & Happy Birthday Matt !!!
Just as you were approaching that railroad overpass at about the 11:00 minute mark I was thinkin', "Wow. I hope he doesn't meet a logger or a ten wheel dump coming from the opposite direction." 😳OOPS! And a narrow bridge right after it! More cool stuff. Happy birthday, Matt!
The '39 was so nice. It's easy to see why the purchaser bought it. OMG, I'm shaking my head at the amount of stuff you must move from the warehouse to the new building. The conv is coming around.
GREAT video, hate that the 39 is gone (had I known you would've sold it, I might have made you an offer)!! The Ardun is just so cool, I laugh every time I see your engine guy crank it by mistake! Matt, you Mike and Steve are the BEST! BTW, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
Sorry to see the ‘39 go, it’s a really neat looking car. Probably my favorite of all the one’s I’ve seen in your shop. I’m sure the new owner will take good care of it. 🙂
That 39 Is an Awesome car. So beautiful. My type. I know I couldn’t afford it.lolol glad you did well with it. 👍👍👍👍oh the chop you did on Mikes? Oh such a nice job. 👍
We know that you and Steve’s work is A-1, by watching the Ford that the “Roadkill” guys bought from you, went several hundred trouble free miles, right outta the box.
Happy birthday, Matt. The fork lift was a bit out of scale for your layout. Sad to see the '39 go, though Can't keep all of them, or your estate sale will be as chaotic as some of the ones you have picked!
Happy Birthday Matt !! Looks like Iron Trap is growing using "steroids" !!! Quite the parts business you and Mike have going there !! Looks pretty intimidating from this vantage point !! Hope you guys are enjoying it and are succeeding in gaining some wealth in the process. Hope you can expand with a "West Coast" branch in the future !! Anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!
Going to miss the store house elevator - it was a reminder to my visit to the Chrysler museum near Pontiac, Mi. Layover time on a business trip I took in their corporate museum. The turbine car, a K car display, wartime display efforts - amazed to see the hexagonal 5 six cylinder motor tank power cluster - # 6 location was on the bottom for the transmission. The treat came for this York, Pennsylvanian visiting Walt's Garage in the basement. There was a restored wooden elevator from a demolished Dodge/Plymouth factory to navigate below. As the door opened at the bottom there was Dave Strickler's '65 Dodge altered wheelbase 426 hemi funny car with YORK PA in 24 inch lettering! Hadn't seen that car since 1966, I get the same rush seeing your elevator door open to see what treasures we are about to see.
Got pertronix in all mine and been using them since god invented them. Only one failed was my fault wrong polarity instant destruction. Couple of failed coils in 55 years. Let us know what happened.
@IronTrapGarage fuel costs have killed like the last three purchases of parts for me. I try to buy ahead of when I need stuff so time isn't a factor as much as shipping cost...
Hopefully it’s not that hack from Nova Scotia interested in the ‘ 39 , he would completely DESTROY IT! I have an automotive hobby , a ‘66 C-20 , my ‘64 Cutlass which is my drag racer , 2 Harley’s , and a Go-Kart I race on a dirt track, I would never allow the hacker from Nova Scotia to even see my vehicles, invited him to come here , bring his best ,and I will use my ‘66 C-20 at the local Drag Strip , and… I will WIN !! Wow! what a busy week, I really enjoy this type of video, great job!
Thanks so much! 😊

The seat probably is cleaner than a no-tell motel mattress full of bed bugs.

I would really like to have the Atlantic sign . My Dad had two Mobil stations one close to home the other a bit farther away .
Hey Matt, you better take Kate out to a nice restaurant soon. She didn't look too happy being broken down at that gas station. Haha haha
I Want Faster. Congrats on what you have accomplished. But I think there is room for More.
You ahould wire qheel then POR the floor. Even if just for temporary.

How much does a car like that sell for because I'm saving up for a running n driving car like one of those
When will we see the blown ArDun run down the road?
When we get the car finished.
Any chance you’ll print more “Iron Trap Equipped” tees ?
WOULD NEVER SELL A 39 LIKE THAT
I hope you don't sell the '39. I am living vicariously thru you owning the '38 and '39.
Back to your VW roots.
That's why i dont run pertronix. Points will still get you home. Good luck
It wasn’t the petronix in the end. Bad coil.
Why do you sell the good one's
Gotta make room for the next good one
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊
