CleanShot just keeps getting better and better! With features like saving tool settings as presets and the QR code reader, it's a must-have for any Mac user. It's my favorite program, hands down 🙌
EDIT: I'm using Voice Isolation in the microphone settings of my Macbook pro 2021 and it works pretty well! Thank you team! One thing I am missing in Cleanshot is "Background Noise Removal" similar to what Zoom offers. I'm mostly doing screenrecording with a lot of background noise, and having this would be massive. All in all, I'm happy with the updates you guys roll out. Thanks!

Very happy to see that recording macos audio is now getting easier. The driver workaround was kinda janky and did not work for me all the time, so I resorted to OBS for recording my lectures I attended. Thank you!

CleanShot has a depth of features that I will probably never use but it's cool to know they're there. I also get a vibe from it that the devs really enjoy making it.
You are the best! Recording is the feature I use the most. Just a little feedback: The background feature is incredibile and super power powerful but it's hidden and I guess few people know it's there. Why won't show that side bar automatically every time I enter the edit mode?

It's incredibly convenient and I find myself using it all the time. 🛎 I do have a few feature requests for what may hopefully make it to the next version: 1. Webp format -- would really appreciate having the option for all screenshots to save as Webp. They are smaller, can handle transparencies, and can even be animated like gifs. 2. Ability to annotate / add things like redact, spotlight & others to a Video/screen recording. Perhaps for each element we could get a small timeline at the bottom that allows us to drag and place the timing for it, and only have simple transitions like cross dissolve that we can toggle on or off. Would be a game changer!
Love this update! Would love it all the more if you supported Sketch-style basic math operations in the screenshot background settings controls - so I can quickly multiply by things like 50% or divide by 2, etc!

Like the new video features. Would be great if the input metering wasn't overly minimalistic. Just a skinny green bar going up and down and an orange dot above it when things clip could be more helpful than a really transparent square being resized behind some button text.
I hope to be able to pay attention to the editing scene of multiple pictures. When multiple pictures are spliced on the canvas, I really need a simple alignment function.
Great update, but I'm badly missing the function from my last. screenshot tool (that I'm needing to keep around for this) to snap selection area to different window elements/frames. It's so useful. Would love to see this added in Cleanshot.
1. When I save the configuration, I want to apply the configuration/default configuration every time the screenshot is opened, and there will be many more steps to take frequent screenshots 2. When will fixed screenshots support shortcut keys to hide all fixed screenshots? 3. When editing screenshots, I think it can recognize and copy the current color, which is a very useful feature
New feature I'd love to see is recording of a window. Now you have to manually drag to select the area and padding around the window is inconsistent, Also just mp3 audio recording would be nice, sometimes I just want the audio not the screen.
Great updates, thanks for the walk-through. Is there a way to change the folder a recording is saved to? I need to save to various different folders every time I record. It would save time because opening the CleanShot folder takes awhile to open the files.
Something I was really hoping to see (but did not) was auto snapping for text. It's so important that things are aligned correctly but even something as simple as centering text is completely manual with CleanShot. Can you allow auto snap to the center of the image (both horizontally and vertically). Feels like a very basic feature that's missing.
I think you may add an indication when you swipe on the pin picture that you changed the transparency. If you don't know this feature it may be confusing
Hi team, Can we add Video File size compressor. Right now I use "Hand Break" tool to reduce the file size of the screen recording, it would be nice to have it built in. Thanks for this update 🙂
Fellas iOS version????!!!!! I’m loving the Mac App, sometimes the scroll capture messed up 🧐 but still this the best screen capture app! That’s why I missed every time I use my iPhone!
I'm still inclined to switch back to Snagit because it's screenshot library is so much better. Or perhaps I should say: it actually has a screenshot library (which makes it easy to manage and find your screenshots). Anything like that on the CleanShot roadmap?
Please add "Tab Feature", When we capture multiple screenshots, I would like to see them in one window just like "FastStone Capture" on Windows side. with this feature I would easily cut the relevant part from the 2nd screenshot for the 1st screenshot.

With the new "Record System Audio" feature, did CleanShot X just accidentally make the most streamlined podcast recording tool for Mac? I played around with recording a 50x50px video with both options and I could see it being a very easy workflow to record something like a Discord or FaceTime call, and then extract the audio.
why can't cleanshotx do the very basic. record the screen, and follow your chosen tab, once you move it,? we need dynamic record. i awnt to choose a browser tab, let's say a video on webiste, meets, etc, them i want to move it to side, or minimize, and have it keep focus on tab i chose, it cannot, and i cannot believe this, PLEASE ADD THIS BASIC FEATURE
The computer audio driver keeps dropping out, just like it always has, even though I've uninstalled and reinstalled Cleanshot as this video says. Any idea why?

I'm 100% sure that in this video it was created on post-production. But there is another app called "Screen Studio" which allows you to add cool zoom effects etc.
