      Thanks! If I didn't have this level of organization, there is no way I would be able to handle this much going on

    Never understood what a pre-order was, is. Anyone?

      With swap meets and auctions, people typically post the list of things they can bring ahead of time. That gives others the chance to reserve something specific so it doesn't get sold out before they arrive.

    Hello, at time stamp 3:42, what are you using to seal your pvc overflow pipe? the black square piece between glass and pvc.

    • @mbroome
      @mbroome  Год назад +1

      It's a sheet of sbr rubber. It works ok, but it's soft enough that is deforms over time due to the compression and about once a year or so, I end up having to tighten the bulkheads up a bit. I finally found some neoprene rubber washers of the correct size that I'm gradually moving everything over to. It's a bit more stiff than the sbr rubber so it seems to hold up better.

    • @tobyr3946
      @tobyr3946 Год назад +1

      @@mbroome thank you for sharing that knowledge. So you think neoprene gaskets will hold up better. How are the cost compared to buying bulk heads? What it be still more economical to go the neoprene route? Bulkheads can be very pricey.
      Thanks again

    • @mbroome
      @mbroome  Год назад

      Yeah, the neoprene should hold up much better. The washers I'm using (60 duro neoprene) are a more stiff version than you might see where it's designed as an insulator. For diy bulkheads, I would say they are not for everyone. If your really big into diy stuff and are comfortable with making a few mistakes along the way that might cause a leak, you can make them in bulk for cheap. All the parts for a single one costs me right at $1.75 each and I can get the parts in bulk and make them in batches of 20 at a time. But if your just wanting to 'get it done', an off the shelf bulkhead will be WAY less headache. Also, the vast majority of my tanks are 20 gallon or smaller so the 3/4" bulkheads I make are perfect. If I were needing larger bulkheads for alot more flow, I don't know for sure if I would use my diy ones or off the shelf ones.

    Michael where do you find all of these rare fish

    • @mbroome
      @mbroome  9 месяцев назад

      Lots of different places. A few different online retailers, a bunch of well known breeders and a few different importers.
