    At the time I didn't know who he was, but Chris was very kind to my elderly father who had a bad fall in Glasgow where he hit his head on a metal grating and was bleeding as a result. He got him a chair from one of the local pubs and stayed with him before the ambulance and I arrived. I think he had been doing a spot of shopping before a bodybuilding event in Glasgow. Top guy.

      @MaramuresDualSport 11 месяцев назад

      @@NoNo-ng9sl excuse me for intruding, but there are two separate aspects of this: some people who are not doing it and only see the "competitional" part, may be influenced to say that it's a pageant, but...obviously you get that result through sport...through going to the gym etc. but yeah...the competition in itself is more like a pageant...

    • @carvedouttastone
      @carvedouttastone 11 месяцев назад

      Was pure fuckn cringe the focus this grifter kept placing on "the money" "the profit". NOBODY gets into bodybuilding for the money. It's why PBD was such an utter failure at gaining any appreciable muscle and why he slathers after those that have accomplished something in the sport

    • @ZenTheMC
      @ZenTheMC 11 месяцев назад +2

      There’s also nothing wrong with profit as motivation. It results in innovation. Morality lies in how you make a profit and whether it negatively or positively impacts others. The concept of profit-driven methodology in capitalism is amoral(not good or bad), because it just does what makes the most money, and the good and bad are a side-effect, not the goal.

It’s really sad that some people truly won’t understand passion for bodybuilding and love because they just don’t see fitness and gym that way. Here you see he’s wondering why do 10x olympia if and then correlates it to money if there’s a difference Lmao it’s not about money when you want to win that much Olympias, it’s a true passion for bodybuilding and creating a legacy of a champion it’s more than money and he doesn’t understand, it’s DRIVE MOTIVATION LEGACY PASSION LOVE it’s Bodybuilding bro no one cares about the money at that point Lmao

    I honestly think he could already be the goat. Quantity of titles aside, I can't honestly think of a physique that was as good his... Maybe Flex Wheeler but Chris has better conditioning ...Guys like Ronny and Dorian were great, but they don't even come close to the aesthetics of Chris, he's like a better version of Frank Zane or Shawn Ray - Aesthetic, but also conditioned and not too big. Similar to the golden era body builders before the mass monsters took over but in many ways even better. If you lined all of them up in their prime, I think Chris arguably has the best overall physique.

    He's a competitive guy.. Of course he cares about getting to #9? 100% fact. Why do you think Tom came back after he was pushed out by the Patriots. Brady wanted t o win 3 Chips with Tampa Bay? Not just 1. 1 is better than none. Do you think Jordan came back to the Wizards for a paycheck? No. He was almost a billionaire back in early 2000s. He definitely thought he could win another chip with the Wizards? But it didn't work out. He ended up buying the Charlotte Hornets. For 280 million dollars. He just sold them for alittle over 3 Billion dollars. Not bad for a 11 12 year investment? Made 10× what he paid for them. His networth is a staggering 4.6 to 5 Billion dollar range. Wooooooow. Very impressive.

      even if he got 20 it wouldn't be compared to Coleman and Haney's 8.
      Bumstead competes in a division that was made in 2016, that's 7 years ago.
      Not trying to sound harsh and it's not 1-1 comparison but it's somewhat like comparing B league to A league. Does winning more in B league hold more prestige than winning the same or even less in A league...which is the very top of any sport?
      Cbum is still a professional bb-er and all the power to him, easily the greatest CLASSIC PHYSIQUE CHAMPION, but he's not even a Mr. Olympia, and again, even if he wins 10-15 more, that won't make him better than Haney nor Coleman. Cannot be compared.

    • @dj_m19
      @dj_m19 11 месяцев назад

      and to give you another example, Flex Lewis is a 7 time 212 division champion.
      Have we ever heard of him being compared to open guys and their accomplishments? Does anyone in their right mind have him ranked equally as Arnold and Phil heath (they both won 7 as well) or ahead of Jay Cutler and Dorian Yates?
      hell nah.

      Good points but playing devils advocate, I think it’s different, let me explain… Chris respectfully is heavily popular amongst the youth and bb casuals, and therefore way more recognizable. Eventually kids growing up will know Chris more than ppl recognize Ronnie or cutler. In fact I’d argue way more people know Chris won Olympia this year and don’t even know the name of who won open. I think Chris needs more wins for his legacy to argue for his goat status against future competitors in his class rather than his idols in the past

    I remember when I was standing in line to get Chris' autograph when I was 12 and I lost my pen. I got to the front of the line and had tears in my eyes and he asked me what was wrong. I told him and he was so comforting and kind. He looked straight in my eyes and reached down his throat and pulled my pen out. People don't know that Cbum is actually a magician too. He asked the guy behind me if he could use his back as backing to sign my photo. The guy turned around and Chris signed it using his back. But when he dotted the I in his name he stabbed through the photo straight into the guy's back. All Chris did was laugh while the guy screamed and everyone was frozen not knowing what to do. When Chris says he tries to bring everyone else up around, I remember this. We are all better because of it.

    2 issues with the intro to this segment. 1) Ronnie Coleman seriously injured his back multiple time PRIOR to becoming Mr. O. He never addressed those injuries and kept adding to them. That is why he is crippled now (also several botched surgeries hasn't helped either). 2) Arnold's heart problems are/were congenital, they were always there his training never caused them. It didn't even become an issue until he was long retired from competing.

      Why does someone else's beliefs have anything to do with anyone else though?
      If you are religious and believe in a higher power then props to you. But saying that it hurts to hear that someone isn't religious is pretty wild and extremely narrow minded

    Bumstead's autoimmune disease was unrelated, Arnold's heart was unrelated (his father and brother had the same issue) and Ronnie's health was more 'wear and tear' than it was PED's. Nobody's won 10 Olympias, Haney might have been able to, Arnold might have; Ronnie tried. Diuretics and insulin are more dangerous than steroids, if you want to save lives; legalize doctors prescribing steroids and HGH for cosmetic purposes and let adult sports decide for their league.

    I think Chris doesn’t need to get to 300 to compete in the open, he would look unreal at 265 diced he would tower over the 5-4-5-8 midgets, it would set a good standard for future Olympias,
    Chris standing next to Samson would be good to see

    As a Canadian It’s very unfortunate to hear that when he says I live in canada and we not religious! That is not correct ! We do believe in Jesus Christ the savior .. many ppl now days who got successful are too scared or simply deny Jesus Christ when they make it up top they worries their fans who are non Jesus believers might not follow them anymore or buy their product
    Notice in the end what Chris says ! I’m not a believer religious way but I believe in power up ther !! Up where where ? Up ther is god that’s they power buddy
    And his name is Chris Christopher . Your name literally got Jesus in it ! This this time for you to show the trust savior ppl know about and not look other ways !
    I remember Derek Lunstand when we won last champion he proudly thanks Jesus for helping him down the road ! Big respect !
