I’m 83 years old and I find this show so interesting on topics I would never think of. I just forwarded this to my grandson. From health, and healthy foods, to bodybuilding, to politics, to religion, to plain old ordinary life, and so much bullshit. SO MUCH WAS LOST!!! God help us…………

GREAT interview with Chris. Jay Cutler was my main influence when I started competing in my 20s in the early 2000s. Other than becoming a US Marine, bodybuilding and competing (as Chris stated) is the toughest thing I've ever done. I had multiple NPC wins in my 20s, left competing to start a family, then came back at 40 to win a Masters and this year at 45 I won Masters Classic and Bodybuilding in which Chris inspired my routine. Bodybuilding is great because if you desire to challenge yourself it's an individual sport. Like Chris I have a great Dr and Coach that monitor my health and progress. How does this not have at least 1M views after 2 weeks? Been following Chris since 2020, his meal ideas helped me during the very start of lockdown. I've not been into bodybuilding for the past year or 2, but always checked on Chris during his prep to the finals to see if he's won - he doesn't disappoint.

First time watching this podcast and I really enjoyed it. These are the questions and thoughts that I always think of but no one on any podcasts ever asked definitely gonna have to tune in again.

I've seen the comments and yes this man is juiced like every single body builder out there whose ever made a career of it. However, the amount of training and discipline required to not just reach the Mr. Olympia stage, but also win multiple times, is absolutely extraordinary. The various injections these competitors take is really just a tool that allows them to train longer and recover faster than us average people can. The work still must be done and it's absolutely brutal. Couple that with the dietary discipline where every calorie must be accounted for and you end up with a lifestyle that truly is made for less than 1% of the world.

Very impressive to win 5 x. It’s an art , body building. I’ll never forget watching Pumping Iron and seeing Arnold Schwarzenegger for the first time and how he compared to the other body builders. He was in perfect proportion. That to me is an art. A lot of hard work to get all the measurements to work. This guy has a beautiful body.
Holy shit me and Christopher share the same auto immune disease. Iga Nephropathy sucks. It slowly takes out your kidneys over time. I've had it since I was 8 years old after a bout with Strep-throat. Its a common secondary disease caused by strep. I'm 28 years old now and have been on PD dialysis for a year. Hearing his story has motivated me to get back in the gym. I thought that I had to give up weight lifting because of my disease.
I'm sorry to hear that. I've never heard of that particular autoimmune disease. I hope there are some medical breakthroughs.
@@King-O-Hell thank your kind words. There is a drug in clinical trials that is supposed to reduced proteinuria, it’s called Narsoplimab.
Iga is a rare disease. Most people are unaware they have it until an infection flares up the symptoms. An easy indicator is if you have foamy or dark urine. Which means you have excess protein or blood that’s leaking through the kidney filters, thus causing inflammation and scarring. I’ve only experienced excessive hematuria once after the bout with strep throat.
I hope this helps somebody dealing with similar symptoms.
If you haven't already, you might want to consider checking your one carbon donor status. Infections can lead to depletion of those, and the system they drive, "one carbon metabolism", has been linked to autoimmune disorders. They are the nutrients vitamin b9 (folates), b12 (cobalamins) and methionie (an amino-acid). The blood markers p-homocystein and p-methylmalonic acid are the most accurate tests(the former being unspecific, so if elevated it should be followed by the latter for confirmation), regular serum tests like p-folate or p-cobalamin are unreliable. To be clear; It's a long shot, and even if it's the case it probably won't cure you, as the mechanisms involved are not likely the sole underlining causes. Still, could be worth ruling out.

I’ve never heard of this guy but very well done. I’m a personal trainer and I have some body goals and always feel like I’m falling short. Hearing his story and listening to him talk, I’m reminded that it’s okay to stay in my own lane. I’m a mom of four boys and aspire to teach them about weight lifting to stay healthy as they get older. No desire to compete. Just making sure I’m doing better than myself and keep pushing 💪🏻

Ian handed over a gem. He would have kept winning. I worked with Hany for 2 years he only will work with if he thinks he can take you far he turned down my friend for prep cause he thought he wouldn't be a top guy. I enjoy coaching someone from nothing to make them something. Hany is great though to make good even better.
Thats interesting. Hany swears up and down that he doesnt do that and works with more "natural people" than anything. I always found it very hard to believe anything he says though when it comes to that.

Regarding Trudeau there is currently a petition in Parliament e-4701 to call for a non-confidence vote re Trudeau. As of yesterday there were over 280,000 signatures on this petition. The petition closes on December 24th and then it is brought to Parliament. This is within a country of approx 39 million people.
Trudeau is just following order set by the world economic forum…he doesn’t care about the Canadian people at all , otherwise first thing he would do is remove the carbon tax … instead he increased it …

Based on online views open men bodybuilding gets a lot more views than any other categories. Also what makes Chris have more followers is that he's more appealing to both men and women. The solution is to raise more money in all categories and get better sponsors.
He doesn't have so many subscribers because of women liking him. Pretty sure 80%+ of them are dudes

This personal podcast, the time in which I watched it , the situation I was in when I found the episode … it all allowed me to pick up a hobby that I only practiced in prison over a decade ago , proud today to say, I haven’t been in trouble since , been workin on my mental health , been regularly workin out and raising four kids ! Average to some , but the road I went down was rocky and today was never imagined!! Mr. Bumstead…. Pbd, you’ve been a huge part of my sobriety this past few years , and I can’t me more appreciative!! My story is truly a miracle! Ever have a spot for the average Joe , consider me!! , it’s a book worthy story , and that’s where I’m headed … writing a book to inspire the youth to understand change and growth is ok!! Canadian here. Would be awesome if more Canadians knew how our government works. Love CBUM, but he's clueless in this department. Canada does NOT have a 2-term limit like the US. We are a parliament style of government based on the British monarch system. Because of this, Trudeau could remain in power for a long time if he wins a minority of parliamentary seats and forms a coalition with another party (like the NDP) to make up the difference in required seats.
This is technically what we have right now. No one in Canada voted for our current government (a coalition between the Trudeau Liberals and the NDP). Trudeau is actually the least popular Prime Minister of all time in Canada's history, having been elected PM with only 31% of the popular vote. The last 2 federal elections, the Conservatives won the popular vote, but lost because of the distribution of seats between Eastern and Western Canada.
The problem is the flaw in Parliament-style of governments. Pierre Poilievre (pronounced paul-E-ev-re) is the Leader of the Opposition (The Conservative Party of Canada) and if an election were held today, all sources and polls indicate that he would win a majority government. The challenge is, the house of commons (our parliament) needs to have a vote of non-confidence in the current government, and Trudeau has his hands deep in the pockets of the NDP, who are propping up his vote at every chance. Until that changes, we are stuck with him until at least the next federal election in 2025.

As for tattoos he mentioned ,I would personally love to have it , but choose not to get it,since I have major health issues. Toxins- heavy metals -in the tattoo ink would quite possibly effect my health in a negative way .😢 Good job on the episode 😊❤
