I'd like a US-made version. Though I understand most of the conventional consumer base would not opt for a US-made product.
As I try to buy USA-made and/or TAA-compliant products where possible, this light will never be something I will pay for.
It's a fantastic product, though.
Great admin light. But I have to say, it was not worth the original $50 price tag. I did not purchase it until you ran the 2 for 1 sale a few weeks ago. Now that you've lowered the price on them, they should sell even better.
I’m deciding between this and the Streamlight Microstream.
I missed it
One thing to watch out for is the charging cables. It does a standard usb-c, but it will not charge if you plug it into a fast charger. Like a double usb c. This isn't a deal breaker IMO, it just is one more thing to look out for.
As far as the light itself goes, i really like it. I've been leaning into it more and more for every day carry. The only thing i might change is a more robust cover for the charging port.
lol just grab a different charger block.. thousands of different usb c cables that will work great on this light. It’s not like your limited
I need the Chicro to have no memory of last mode used, or have it be programmable. Currently, it's Hi/Low, and which ever mode you used last, the light turns on in the next mode in the cycle. ie: if you last used High, the next time you turn it on it will turn on in Low. If you last used Low, the next time you turn it on it will turn on in High. Super annoying. I want it to either always turn on in High and be able to switch to Low, or have it always turn on in Low and be able to switch to High. Or let us program it to one or the other.

Understood. The Chicro was designed after multiple requests from customers wanting a lower priced admin light. Initially we did plan to produce it here, but the cost would have been much higher than what most customers would be comfortable with for a small admin light. The Chicro still uses our design, specs and features, just produced overseas to keep it at a more reasonable price. All of our flagship models: MCH, REIN, Torrent, LCS, etc, are USA made. Chicro being the exception.
Where EPL?
I’d love to see a US made light between the size of the Chicro and MCH.
My only gripe is the 2 pocket clip position thing. Would rather have a fixed 2way clip. Tje 2 I have get scratched to hell removing and placing the clip. Makes me never want to move it.
That's fair. We appreciate the feedback. Some guys run two clips, one facing each way, as a current solution.

That's the only thing that burns me. Yes to all the above reasons to have it ( I do ) but I would've paid more made in the USA.
What price did it come out too made here?
Understood. All of our flagship models are fully USA made. The Chicro being the exception. It's still our design, specs and features, however.
Don't recall the cost, but certainly more than what most people would feel comfortable with for an Admin light. The Chicro came after multiple customer request for a more affordable option, and a small admin light was the best solution.

Its sll about innovation. I was so close to ordering one of these but.. why not a built in usb type c charger on the bigger cloud defense lights.? I don't want to have to remove the battery each night whwn i get home from work. I just want to plug that shit in. It is like these lights are 10 years behind. Two modes or one mode is ridiculous... You need at least low medium and high settings. Who only uses high mode? Amd these run times are inline with streamlights 2000 strion model. 1 hour. That is not enough run time.
So for those reasons. I just ordered another streamlight.
I, and many of your customers, would rather pay the premium for American manufactured products. As you said that is part of what you are known for, don’t assume the budget of your customer base.
I have no problem with a foreign made cheaper price admin light, you have a business to run and money to make, it’s good quality and works well at the 35 dollar price point.
Good for you, I got one these when they were $25 and it's definitely worth it. Its just an admin light, don't trust your life with it. Congrats on your huge budget lol
They assumed the budget of their customer base after the thousands and thousands of requests for a cheaper edc light
If I’m going to buy Chinese made, I prefer Olight or Fenix. The only reason I buy CD it’s Made in USA. Other wise there are a lot of good options and some of them are performs even better than CD.
I would have ordered one already but ya. Made in China. I'd rather pay more money and have it all usa made. Even if it lacks in performance. (Which they do) streamlight blows these away for half the price but I hate supporting China. I'd rather pay 60 bucks for this light if it was made in USA.
Got it and had it for a month.... battery or possible light is dead... and after use in attic for 30 mins o ring fell off light head and dead.. and reviews are in and it proves my same experience. Love the light but its just pure trash quaility. Ive used airsoft lights for $20 8 years ago that lasted longer, in way worse heat/sun... i get it china vs America but what ever dealer you guys are using is trash. I hate im defending china but seriously china is not this low in quality these days.
