Lyrics:
I feel it in my fingers
I feel it in my toes
Love is all around me
And so the feeling grows
It is written on the wind
Thats everywhere I go
So if you really love me
Come on and let it show
You know I love you
I always will
My mind's maid up
By the way that I feel
There's no beginning
There be no end
Cause on my love
You can depend
I see your face before me
As I lay on my bed
I kind a get to thinking
Of all the things we said
You gave your promise to me
And I gave mine to you
I need someone beside me
In everything I do
You know I love you
I always will
My mind's maid up
By the way that I feel
There's no beginning
There be no end
Cause on my love
You can depend
It is written on the wind
Thats everywhere I go
So if you really love me
Come on and let it show
Come on and let it show
Come on and let it show
Come on and let it show
Come on and let it show
Come on and let it show
Come on and let it show

For me and my girlfriend, who is in a convelesent home with stage 5 Parkinson's disease, commonly called "the end, " this is OUR song. No, there is no cure for her. But I love her so much, I cannot and will not ever leave her, ever!!! After 2 previous marriages, we had 11 spectacular years together before she had to go to the home. I found true love with Bev and it is never ending!!! She IS the love of my life!!! I thank "the Trogs " for this song because we both love it and sing along with it. Even a rotten disease like Parkinson's can't break us apart!!! I Love you Beverly and I always will!!!
God bless you and your wife
That's so sweet and brave of you. How is she doing now?
I feel your pain my wife of 38 years has als
Sorry for your loss Steven....this song WILL forever remind you of her! Hope that it helps you in the time that you need it. I play this to remind me of a someone I lost. Memories are wonderful escapes! Get lost in them... I do...
I'm so sorry for what you and your love are suffering. But all of us dream of being loved like she is... Perfect song for you!
"Music is probably the nearest we will get to a time machine , it brings back memories good and bad , people and places." So true
Love that thought.

Beautiful !
We married in 1967 and this is our song as the lyrics say it all, still going strong 54 years in December 2021
Awesome Congratulations!❤
This is my all time favorite it was new when I met my first love.😊
*Congratulations!!!*
That's beautiful !! I was born in 1967 and when I was around 8 years old I used to dance alone to this song when my parents were downstairs and could feel the angels around me with so much love ! At 21 I lost my first partner in a bad road crash a week before Christmas in 1988 ! It's my 54th birthday on June 17th ! And I just sent this song to my brother !! Lots of love to you ❤️ love is all around us whatever our life plays out like ! I now work as a spiritual medium ( 25 years ) god bless X
Sister, that is SO far out! Congratulations!
Getting married this Fall and decided to make a song list. This was the first song that came to mind! Thank you for sharing your love story 💖
I was a college freshman when this song came out. Now I am 76. That's a lotta years gone by.
I hope that, for the most part, they were happy ones; unfortunately, I went to Viet Nam in '66. I returned a very different man in '69

I dedicate this to my Late Wife Carolina. She passed away 2 months before our 25th Anniversary. She passed away on September 25th 2020 at the age of 56 Year Old. It's very hard not to see, hear or hold her. Our Daughter is 31 years old. Our Son is now 26 years old. Our Grandson is 11 years old. Our Granddaughter is years old.
My sincere sympathies on your beloved wife's passing at such a young age.
She knows you dedicated this song to her and her soul rejoices.
"God Bless" your Wife and also "God Bless" your Daughter, your Son and your Grandson and Granddaughter, hang in there old friend.
My condolences to you. It's a great pain in our heart losing our love. Mine died suddenly 14 yrs ago. My hope for you is to get some solace in your heart. We never get over the loss. The pain subsides to the good memories we share.
Music transports us back to the good times. Let your memories carry you, my friend
❤..
From "Wild Thing" to "Love Is All Around" the Troggs have never gotten the credit they sorely deserve.
They were much more than good.
They were PUNKS before PUNKS. They had an attitude in their singing style. Sort of like in your face. Put em in the hall.
Ther two song asr ver good this is fantastic and wild thing and maybe one other thre songs dont make them icons
Well, they most certainly capture the emotional essence & energy of their songs❤

Music is probably the nearest we will get to a time machine , it brings back memories good and bad , people and places.
This is, hands down, one of the most beautiful songs of all time. I absolutely love it.
Most beautiful song ever xx ❤️
Agree with you! 👍🏴
A true classic. Unbeatable. No imitations come close.
The memories flood back when I hear this. 72 y/o now but I'm a teenager all over again whenI hear these songs.
This was our song! My husband passed away last year from pancreatic cancer. Will always love this song!
Linda, i am so sorry to hear that.
There's no beginning, there'll be no end...I know it's not easy but stay strong! ❤
You have my deepest sympathy Ms LQ. Your post caught my eye since my late wife also passed in May 2015 from Pancreatic Cancer; metastasized from liver cancer. (And please, no return sympathy required. Short answer: Long story). This song wasn't ours; "ours" played about a couple days ago on some TV show I just happened across; for me a strange feeling.
I wish you peace.
My sister in law passed from pancreatic cancer in January 2012 at the young age of 38 her name was Amy, a good person she was and taken in the prime of life
Cancer effects so many of us , I am the unlucky one this time , God bless you . I have had the most wonderful time with the love of my life
I wish all of us had to listen to this song every morning before we went out into the world.
Dream on ❤
This original version is masterpiece. Brilliant song!..
Yes it is a master piece
Agreed
Here i am listening to this beautiful song released 58 years ago I still have my vynel version love it always ❤
I'm 58 and am hearing this song for the first time. It was sent to me from my friend Eric. My soul brother who met me on the job 34 years ago.
We went our separate ways when we went on to different jobs.
Now we're back in contact with each other after searching for one another for 15 years.
Thank you Eric for coming back into my life. I love you, my brother
Music can certainly stir fond memories!
If you dont like this song YOU HAVE NO HEART IT DONT GET NO BETTER THEN THIS FROM THE HEART LOVE THIS SONG TO THE MOON AND BACK PLAY IT ALL THE TIME

One of the best songs to come out of the sixties. The Troggs were one of the best groups ever.
This is one of the best songs I've ever heard!! and I'm 16 years old
Beautiful song.
R.I.P. Reg Presley.
WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO THE WORLD WE LIVE IN TODAY ?
thank you for resurrecting a song ive forgotten about ! great song
And what the hell happened to music that was actually really good like seriously what happened to it
Warmongers took over all the political parties. They are people who hate life and happiness.
I agree with you. The world we live in today is just a disgusting mess. Long gone are the good old days.
16 years old? Really, you have good taste for music, because this is absolute garage rock masterpiece! 👍🏴
80 years old tears thinking of my fantastic time as a youth.
This song is timeless. 1967 my high school graduation. So many memories
Classic pop song from the greatest era in music...
I love this song. I haven't heard it in forever, but it was a big hit. God, I'm old ...
🤗🌹💕
yeah it is called time what of it though. you can't be old unless you were once young
There was never another summer like the one in 1967;magic.
"65" "66" "67" what a space in time.
A sad summer the music was the thing that kept me going.
Summer of love
I always believed in this song, born in 55 and I was born sick with my heart, had surgery in 1966 and now I am 66 years old, this song brought me to who I am today, thank you!
I'm the same age, stay healthy my friend......
Born the same year and enjoy these songs too. From the wonderful State of Virginia 👍
Another 1955 baby. I always loved this song. I think the strings in it are so critical to its appeal.
Boomer here from '56. Hang in there
Hoping your still healthy one of my first 45s and born the same year now have 4 stents alll’s well
🎸Welcome to the real music world of the SIXTIES:
no playback, musicians who could compose, sing and play an instrument.
Those were the days 💃
Yep, no good music or musicians have existed since the sixties.
Also, kids don't walk uphill both ways to school & back! Those lazy whippersnappers!
Nope, nothing good ever happened in the world once I was past the prime of my youth.
@lindaflowerpower8498 My son in law says the same thing about music of the 80's. Guess
what? He was in the prime of his youth in the 80's.
There was good music written and performed by proper musicians before the 60's too, there
must have been because my dear old Dad always insisted that his era of music was the best!
My Grandkids insist that their music is by far much better than what us oldies had!
What I've learnt from the views of various generations is: There will always be good music. 😃
Welcome to the my world. Just like yours...God bless you
..🏴
As a teen in the sixties I was living with my parents who were in the RAF at Northolt. I was crazy about the Troggs and if they ever appeared within travelling distance I would go to their gigs. I looked up my diaries and these are the venues I saw them performing - 21 May 1967 Starlite Greenford , 7 March 1967 ,Adelphi Slough, 6 May 1966, Town Hall High Wycombe 21June 1966 Starlite Ballroom Greenford 17 July 1966 Marquee London 26 July 1966. In the autumn of 1967 I had met a Swedish girl and on a visit to Sweden I saw them there in Stockholm in October 1967, Such happy memories
I listened to this song with my mother growing up while dad was at work. Dad has now passed and mom is sick. Where did 40 years go 😢🥺
I feel the same way.....how fast our lives fly by......memories bind us together.
@@lesliehoncharik1289yes and songs hitch those memories
First, sorry for your loss. I know how is it. My wife died in car crush last month. Still believe Love is all around...God bless you.🏴
up your ass?
You'll always have the memories.
Forget Wet, Wet, Wet. This is the Troggs, the original & the best.
Totally agree-brilliant song!
That's for sure 😎
When I heard that www the first time, I really got angry. It was an insult for that great song.
yes yes yes !!!!!!!!
Too right....love it ... 71 and still blown away by it.
Originally released on Oct 1st 1967 by the Troggs. Wonderful love song. I can see why so many people covered this great song. But the Troggs did it best.
Love the 'Wets' version, but this was, and still is the best. So underrated
Yes Ralph, a really great song. In fact so good that Wet Wet Wet had that number one with it years
later for 15 weeks when it became the romantic soundtrack of 1994. Reg Presley made an estimated
£1 million from the royalties, quite deservedly too I think. 👍
this song popped in my mind at 3am, playing and I'm not sure I've even heard it. If I did, it was some 30+ years ago when I was a small child and totally forgotten. Super weird, I was able to get some lyrics from it as it played in my mind, only the "there's no beginning, they'll be no end" part, which I was able to look up. has this happened to anybody? Probably a strange memory glitch. I don't listen to the music from the 60's but perhaps my parents played it when I was tiny or heard it on the radio. I'm glad it's a real song because it's so pretty and now I can play it!
Your parents have good taste.
Hello from Vienna 🎡
You may have heard it when you were very young and it resonated with you. Then it resurfaced (partly) and you could find it from the small words you recalled.
Yes, this exact thing happened to me last year...exactly how you described. They speak to us through music on "the other side". One of the many ways, apparently. ❤
Such a beautiful song in a much simpler time ❤ 🇬🇧 ❤
this song is for me so about one thing missing in some of our society today, loving, I'm 72,
No love song saturates as completely as this gem.
True! And if I have a few beers and turn this on, it starts the water works😊
'It's written on the wind.' I can't get over the genius of this song's lyrics. It is sheer beauty in it's entirety. 👌🏻♥️☮️✌🏼
This song is perfection!
truly well beyond brilliant for eternity !!!
I wonder if they had watched that old Rock Hudson Lauren Bacall movie "Written on the Wind" and were inspired by the title at all.

Beautiful song, beautifully sung. 😊
A great song. The Troggs are one of the most underrated bands of all time.
The only time you talk about the troggs you have to reference wild thing their signature song
Which was a cover BTW
I always wondered: what is a trogg?
@@MinhCo-vu7km Supposedly, it was short for “troglodyte.” (caveman)
Beautiful! I liked this song years ago and hadn't heard it in years. I just heard the tune briefly in a commercial and had to hear the whole song again! Still love it! ❤❤
Me too...I heard it in the commercial and now can't get it out of my head! I always think about my husband..my ex now..thanks to me! I miss him so much! Such a wonderful man and I just threw him away out of sheer stupidity! My gosh how I wish I could go back and fix it! But I can't. He just called me and I know he misses me too..but he went on in life..started another life in another state..etc...though I know he's not happy because he still does call me..he tells me..but ya know..I just want everyone to know and realize..to think carefully before you screw up your life...like I have..I made such an erroneous error and boy have I paid for it! I still am! I physically and mentally ache for him..and we could have been happy all this time! How strange that REGRETS mean everything and yet nothing at all! 💔 💔 💔 😢
Myself!!! Just saw that commercial!!!
And am listening to it right now.😎👍
I was 17yrs old when this was released and still listening today
I did too. It's a Subaru commercial. Infact, it was just on so I wanted to hear the whole song.. lol
Thanks, Subaru.
Even though I was born in the year 2000, I will always have a soft spot for the 1960’s. Thank you for everyone who contributed to this wonderful time.
I was born in 1969, two years after this song was released AND over a decade after the doowop style of music-the 1950s of course, yet such music really has grown on me as well big time. I know just what you mean. :)
I was born in the 80s so grew up during the 60s revival in the 90s. All the Britpop bands in the UK owed so much to the 60s and said as much.
This song proves that the Troggs were more than a one-hit wonder
Absolutely
I was born in 2016 and I love 1960’s music! What a time before social media, before Covid and when rock ruled!
Songs like this should be played at every wedding anniversary party.
This song is so good !
I feel it in my fingers, I feel it in my toes
Well, love is all around me
And so the feeling grows
It's written on the wind, it's everywhere I go
So if you really love me
Come on and let it show
You know I love you, I always will
My mind's made up by the way that I feel
There's no beginning, there'll be no end
'Cause on my love you can depend
I see your face before me as I lay on my bed
I kinda get to thinking of all the things you said
You gave your promise to me, and I gave mine to you
I need someone beside me in everything I do
You know I love you, I always will
My mind's made up by the way that I feel
There's no beginning, there'll be no end
'Cause on my love you can depend
It's written on the wind, it's everywhere I go
So if you really love me
Come on and let it show
Come on and let it show
Come on and let it show
Come on and let it show
Come on and let it show
Come on and let it show
Come on and let it show
Come on and let it show
Thank you so much for writing out the lyrics. I just copied them in my journal. What an amazing song, poem, and call to prayer.

I am 73, which is very strange in itself. You young whippersnappers don't know what it is like to be really old! (lol). Glad you are all here in 2020~!
How did Wet Wet Wet ever think in their wildest dreams that they could do justice to this great timeless production?
ABSOLUTELY 🤜🤛🏿‼️
More like bad bad bad
What a great memory from 1967,I think that this song proved that the Troggs could do slow love songs as well as the up tempo stuff.
This song is 56 years old and still sounds good today.
I'm 23 but had older parents and grew up listening to this kind of music. My mom loved and sang it all the time. I tried signing along when I was little and always said "'cause all my love, the Candyman!" 🤣 I lost momma three years ago. Brings tears to my eyes hearing it now. I can still hear her voice singing it ❤️
God bless you Kathryn.
Please accept my deepest condolences.
I’m sorry for your loss. I lost my Mom in 2019, and I was actually in 7th grade when this song came out so I remember it well!
Reg Presley was a painter and decorator during the time he released this brilliant song. He was actually painting someone's home and after he heard this song played 3 times on the radio station he was listening to, he came down the ladder and told the startled home owner, he could keep the ladders, paint and kit, as he was off. He just walked off (into fame and fortune) leaving all behind. Just love that story. What an artiste. And I was in that era - retired now, but still love this music!
One of the greatest tracks. Troggs were decades ahead of their time. Timeless.
truly brilliant & eternal !!!
I mean it feels very dated to specifically the 60s to me.
Just checking the date now, 1967 lol. It's a cool vibe.
Maybe you meant certain other elements of the band.
This song will forever be timeless 😢❤ Genius lyrics wow!
A fine ballad from the guys who did Wild Thing. They proved thier musicianship with this number from Feb. 68!
Those of us that lived during that amazing time will never be able to really express what the mood of the time was. Yes, there were problems, there always is. But it was a time of discovery and wonderment for us. Music, clothes, attitudes towards relationships, the whole world was opened up to strange, magical and new ideas. I was about 19 years old when this song came out. I will be 70 years old next year, and the feeling of that time is still with me and my wife. This month will be our fifty (50) years anniversary. Yes, we were married on Halloween, 1966!
StellarBlue1 you have no idea how much I envy you! for having been there, and for the 50 years of marriage! i sometimes joke to my fiancee about having lived my past life during the 60s (was born in '75).
Francisco Salazar Thanks, Francisco. I had the same feeling you do. Although I thought my past life was in the 1800s! But, every generation has it's great discoveries and experiences. I hope you and your fiancee have great luck like me and my sweetheart have. Every day is a great adventure as long as we are alive and kicking. I think you may know that already! Take good care.
StellarBlue1, Your words are very close to me. I was born in USSR a little bit later than you (in 1953), but I remember that wonderful, fantastic time. Alas, it will never come back, but it will always remain in our hearts. I wish happiness to you and your wife.
Sergey Senchurin Thank you, Sergey. That is a very nice wish you made for us. We hope everything is happy now, for you and your family, too!
true.
The Troggs. What a versatile group. From 'Wild Thing' to this beautiful song.
❤ From a Canadian babyboomer who was born in Hong Kong. Good music is universal.
This October 1967 release " Love is all around "and "Wild thing " are decade defining classics from the sixties . The Troggs don't get enough credit for these two masterpieces .
Very true 👍
Don't forget "With a Girl Like You" ...........
The first Punk Band. They had that attitude in their singing.
Big hits in the UK.
I know what you mean.......I am 64 now and long for those days when the sun was brighter and sky seemed more blue. We were so idealistic back then. What a beautiful song!
Agreed Jan I'm 60. What a great, encouraging song.
Thank you.
Check your eyes!
Great comment...
So do I...…..:-(
One of the classics from 1966 a brilliant year, a brilliant decade the 60s❤
my girlfriend and me
From October 1967, actually. It hit the US charts in January 1968 after a near two year absence on the US charts due to some DJ's banning the group after "I Can't Control Myself" for being "too suggestive." It became their second biggest hit after "Wild Thing."
Yes we all have to live our lives with stress free and just take it day by day ❤
To my mind (and ears) this is truly one of the sweetest and most romantic love songs from the 20th century. I love the strings -- they give this tune a majestic classic flavor. This tune evokes some of the best memories.
I feel a profound sense of nostalgia whenever I listen to this wonderful song of yesteryear. In retrospect, "those days" were awesome and I am so happy to have lived through them and still be here to relive them through memories evoked by such wonderful songs.
@@glennsheppy2159 Thank you. You have perfectly expressed what an entire generation (and more) have felt about this tune and others like it. Let this song; and others like it; be remembered and listened to Forever.
Great tune by the under-rated Troggs.
The greatest music ever written - Love, Peace, Happiness!!
Amazing Song during an Amazing time , these were the days that history will be looking back on when it came to music.
The absolute best version of this song it takes you back to the 60s when times were best great memories ❤
Yes times were good in the sixes

Getting old sucks big time are you nuts peace from Brooklyn NYC
"Old" at 64 indeed! The most successful productive years of my life was when I was in my sixties. Now as an octogenarian I'm even better. Age cannot slow nor diminish the accomplishments of we Superagers.
@@jackieguccione94 "Old sucks big time", not quite, I'll be 82 this October and right now I'm booting up for my usual 3 mile morning walk in the local Arboretum with my wife. We have a home to maintain, an acre to mow, flowers and trees to plant and three vintage cars that require continual upkeep. This coupled with running a home while serving the needs of our family leaves little time to ponder the ravages of age. Grab a slice of this wonderful life and enjoy it as best you can....at any age!
@@pip393 im 65 i do every thing that you do walk and all of that that doesn't change the fact we dont have much time left i lost my wife three years ago we were together for 47 years since we were 15 years old so that has something to do with what im saying peace to you and family from Brooklyn New York

Unbelievably great song !!!
This song for many who never found one. They can enjoy from the joy of others.
The Troggs best song ever!! And one of the best songs ever!
When I was 15 years, this song was so sensual . . .
Beautiful comments all. Got the goosebumps listening and reading. Born in 57 these love songs was the times.
My brother, cousin and I started a band when I was a senior in high school. This is one of the songs I sang. It brings back such memories. We had a blast. Love the Troggs ❤️
Probably the one of the most Beautiful Love songs ever written. From a very talented group. I was 9 when I first heard this.... Spectacular lyrics, with a symphony of instruments in the background. The 793 thumbs down are just ignorant. Thank You Troggs for this TIMELESS classic I will always cherish!
They have no idea what good music is. Their loss.
I was 17 teen at the time .always reminds me of my girlfriend at the time .still miss her

Some examples of creativity seem to, in effect, magically transcend others, and this song by The Troggs (original version) is -- to me, anyway -- such an example. Its beauty brings tears to my eyes, and I marvel that a human being, or beings, could come forth with a piece of music so incredibly moving (the subtle, understated arrangement augments its effectiveness, especially the unobtrusive, but so telling, use of strings in the background). And yet, as evidenced in some of the RUclips comments, there will always be those who find fault with just about anything, as if perversely driven to do so. Another instance of life's mysteries, it being reminiscent of the old anecdote of the maid proclaiming that it's all a matter of taste as she kisses the cow.
Gratefully,
Ray Cabana, Jr.
I thought I was the only person that loved this song, simple but good listening song.
No, so much people does

I was thinking the same thing as I listened to this song.
I bet it's been sung/played at weddings probably thousands of times over the years as It came out in 1967!! Great wedding song!
yer a dreamer
Hey Linda, have you seen the movie, "Four Weddings and a Funeral"? Fabulous movie with Hugh Grant, and this song is in it. If you haven't seen it, watch it on Amazon Prime or RUclips!
@@RichardMikesell Yes, fantastic movie! Hugh Grant at his best, but whole cast incredible.
Absolute classic, essentially simple but so effective...
I love the song and the video. I wish I could go back and live it again. Thank you for posting this.
I can't stop listening to this song. I grew up in a small town. I also love 3 degrees "precious moments' give me some thumbs.
check out "never my love" by the association!! or "your song" by Elton John!!
I was born in 59 so I was kind of young through most of the 60s but the music is seared into my soul and will always be a part of me. The 60s and 70s had the best music of all time
Same...born Dec 1
You said it....great timeless music.

Sad. I feel sorry for you.

1967, what a wonderful year and I wish that I could live it again. This is an amazing song and reminds me of those days.
Me too- I was in the 7th grade in ‘67!

I was a half pint +- 11 or so when I heard the song for the first time. Already then there was a sentimental emotion. Could not wait for the official Top 20 to hear it. This song, "Angie" of thec Rolling Stones and "To love somebody " by the Bee Gee's were just more special. I'm 66 now and still experience same sentimental feeling. Back then I created my own Hi Fi sound - a portable for each ear.
Love this song. Love it.
After hearing Wet Wet Wet's version for the last hundred years, I'd forgotton how utterly beautiful this original version is.
Absolutely,Wet Wet Wet's version ranks among the worst covers of all time.
70ny5g1rl. yeah
Yeah . I know what you mean. I had to listen to it to get rid of the CANADIAN TIRE COMERCIAL version.
Wet wet wet are fucking shit anyway. The original is way better compared to their cover.

Such a sweet song...long forgotten but it popped into my head so I pulled it up. I love this song, lyrics and violins!
Smiles, how are you doing?
This is likely when I really think about it, my all time favourite song. Takes me back to 1967, when I was 11 years old, I never get tired of hearing it. Pretty Ballerina by the Left Banke ranks right up there as well.
What an awesome mood-enricher between couples. Thanks, again.
Amazing that people thought Wet Wet Wet was the original. This is still the best version ever. Love it
The 2 versions (the original and Wet wet wet) take quite different approaches to this song, which I've always
been quite happy about. I can't say for definite which is best, but pleased that Wet wet wet didn't just do an exact
carbon copy of the original. It's a good song so The Troggs, quite rightfully, should always get praise and credit
for it. The Troggs original version does take me back in time to some good memories. 👍
