Always loved that song. First heard it on a reel to reel tape on my dad's old recorder. My mom once recorded a bunch of music back in the 60s. Was a gem for an 80s kid.
As a teen in the sixties I was living with my parents who were in the RAF at Northolt. I was crazy about the Troggs and if they ever appeared within travelling distance I would go to their gigs. I looked up my diaries and these are the venues I saw them performing - 21 May 1967 Starlite Greenford , 7 March 1967 ,Adelphi Slough, 6 May 1966, Town Hall High Wycombe 21June 1966 Starlite Ballroom Greenford 17 July 1966 Marquee London 26 July 1966. In the autumn of 1967 I had met a Swedish girl and on a visit to Sweden I saw them there in Stockholm in October 1967, Such happy memories

Just stumbled over this download...brings me back to my teenage years in the 60's when life was uncomplicated , summers were long and beautiful and we had the Troggs....fanflippintastic!...don't ever stop guys.

Stunning! Great to see there are still some true 'wild things' still rocking on after all these years. Too many have fallen away from the spirit, aspirations and fun that was once part of our generation. I so miss those days. Rock on!!!!

Reg Presley is dead in 2013. Didn't know he was replaced.... Not sure it is The real Troggs.
It is Real Troggs..Reg was replaced in 2012 and gave blessing to carry on with current vocalist

I'm not familiar with any lineup changes that may have evolved from the original foursome. The only name I recognize here is "Bond", so I'm assuming the drummer named Darren is related to Ronnie, the original drummer.
Darren is Ronnie's son
Chris Allen replaced Reg Presley (with his blessing) in June 2012, John Doyle replaced original guitarist, Chris Britton in 2017, Pete Lucas in the Troggs since 1974. Hope that answers the usual old chestnut!

@@randallanderson1632 the difference is, you have no connection to The Beatles, This line up, like The Fortunes etc, has long standing members and has evolved from the first line up, 2 of whom are no longer with us unfortunately, 1 who still gigs with the band on occasion, and one who was sacked in the 60's. Drummer is Ronnie Bond's son..

No I'm not one of the original Beatles but that is not necessary if there is some vague connection, like signing on long after the heyday with all original members long gone or, membership via a car radio sing-along. So I'm a Beatle. So is the guy I golf with. The wife will have her doubts but I'll show her your comment. That'll convince her.
