Really makes you appreciate the difference between physical and paper gold. Really makes me wonder why anyone would want to buy anything else but physical.
You must have never heard the term "If you don't hold it, you don't own it."! Companies lend out your gold to make more money or just outright sell more shares than they have gold to cover.
Paper anything is always better imo. But I guess its a matter of taste. I value convenience and liquidity more than tangibility. Also you can use derivatives on paper assets

If it's the value of gold you are buying, it doesn't really matter it's paper or metal.

Washed with chemicals? No dissolved, chlorination occurs during melting of the rough dore bar to get a higher purity for refining. The gold is dissolved the selectively precipitated from aqua regia not dried from aqua regia. The resulting mud is then dried and cast into beads so they can get accurate weighted bars.

Lol that won’t work. Gold is much denser than sand and X-RAY machines will easily detect that. Gold is even denser than iron, so they might assume you’re carrying some homemade shrapnel bomb. Aside from that, if you do not declare your precious metals when going through airport security, you risk losing all of it, forever.

Gold is not the best conductor. Silver is the best conductor, but copper and gold are more likely to be used. Copper is used because it is almost as good a conductor as silver, but is cheaper than silver. Gold is also more likely to be used as it is more corrosion resistant than silver, even though gold is more expensive and cannot conduct as well as silver. But overall, in terms of pure conductivity, silver is the best there is.
I am obsessed with gold. I only Have 3 Oz of Bullion and 2 Oz in jewelry so far but I check gold and silver prices daily and will for the rest of my life convert my cash into PM.

I can't believe that no one has called out the major error in this video. It said that you just dry out the aqua Regia solution (aurocloric acid, actually),when that's so wrong it hurts. Drying out that avid does not leave you with gold dust - you have to precipitate out the gold. A very basic chemical reaction, and when done the gold just settles out in the bottom of the container. THAT leaves pure gold dust, depending on how thoroughly it was processed prior to dissolving the gold. Major difference that seems small on the surface.

Denver mint used to burn their carpet annually to recover the gold dust. There was enough to replace the carpet. I think I would do it every second or third year.

Doesn't Aqua Regia dissolve gold? It's a mixture of nitric acid and hydrochloric acid in a 1:3 ratio that dissolves gold as far as I know.
I think I’ll need a couple of the 5kilogram bars as a few samples, before I decide on making my final decision on buying any of the bars

Entertaining video, but it had some odd inaccuracies. The aqua Regia process isn't the purest way to refine gold. Electrolysis (Wohlwill Process) will give you 99.9999 purity. Aqua Regia will likely give you 99.95 which is LBM's minimum standard. Also Aqua Regia is more of a process not a chemical. Nitric Acid and hydrochloric acid, but you don't combine them first to make nitrohydrochlroric acid. You add the chemicals separately. I'm not an expert, but I have done the Aqua Regia Process and I have lab experience. I've never reached 99.9999 purity and the Canadian Royal Mint, PAMP, Metalor, Valcambi, and all the big players use Electrolysis even though it takes much more time to refine. Why is this? Purity...
You should get in touch with them. I'm sure they'll be devastated to learn that they've been doing it wrong all these years - all that money they've wasted on workers and scientists when everyone knows the real experts can be found in comment sections of RUclips videos...

For comparison: iron has a density of 7.874 g/cm3 (steel is generally between 7.75 and 8.05 g/cm3), copper has a density of 8.96 g/cm³, and lead has a density of 11.34 g/cm3. Gold has a density of 19.32/cm3, platinum has a density of 21.45 g/cm³, and iridium has a density of 22.56 g/cm3.

This video was made by someone without even a high-school level knowledge of chemistry. When gold it dissolved in aqua regia, you don't "dry" it into gold sand, there's a chemical reaction that has to take place.
