Wondering what is your top five new turntables for a new collector?
Records find this dude.
Yeah that’s true 🤣
He's got connections and money to spend
@@alanrogs3990yeah because he’s turned his hobby into a successful business, which means he’s the ultimate collector
Yes,he does now. But he worked his ass off to get where he is currently. Nobody just handed him money and records. He's earned it. I'm a bit envious too actually. Lol!
@@denesisdelcorockschool3074 I wasn't putting him down. If it looked that way it wasn't my intention.
Damn. These are the best videos. I imprint those covers on my brain in hopes to come across them… knowing I never will😂
You might! Thanks for the kind words!
Dillan, Best part of your channel is the exploration into ALL kinds of new music that speaks to my soul. Stuff I'll add to my dig lists and stuff I wanna explore online. Keep kickin ass my man.
Thanks so much! I try!
I listen to all kinds of diff stuff new and old.. But always go back to ? I grew up with.. 70s rock.. Thank u for posting.. Im a forever seeker of 70s bands ive never heard of b4 amd for me this video is freaking awesome... So many killer 70s bands besides zep purple rush..
Omg, so many of my biggest wants in one video, Blackwater park, black spirit, horse, jeronimo etc, etc I'm gutted!
Absolutely incredible haul. Just one banger after another. Phew. Man you have been killing it! This is stuff of dreams. Dias Irae,Sitting Bull,Cosmos Factory. And Attila! You are winning the record game.
Hey Dylan it was great to meet you and see your store. Great records I got, cleaned them and listened this morning. Hope to be able to stop again. Peace out.
Thanks so much for coming!
Hi Dylan, I remember seeing Writing on the Wall around 1970, in Cardiff, Wales, an amazing live band.
Wow! I’m sure they were incredible live!
I made my list. Will keep my eyes open. Thank you for another awesome video. Love the artwork.
Thanks for watching! 🙏
Always look forward to seeing what rare lp's you can turn me onto. Thanks
Thanks so much for watching!
Thanks for the recommendations moved to Europe few years back, always looking for rarities I have better access to now.
Yeah, grass is greener I suppose. There’s so much great stuff in the US that is unfindable over there too. Thanks for watching! 🙏
Dylan - as a fellow Led Zep fanatic, I'm surprised you didn't mention Bakerloo's version of Bring It On Home.
Hey over there, you mention several fine Kraut pieces. I guess you know Necronomicon 1972 as well. For me the holy grail. Last year I was at a concert (yes the guys despite well in their 70s still perform). Here is a clip from my youtube channel (necronomicon live 14.10.2023), 10 minutes that begin quite soft but end in a storm. Strongly recommended if you are in things like Hairy Chapter, Jeronimo, Mouse, Reaction and the likes. And: Incredible 50 years later....
Cool video. Thanks for all you do.
Thanks so much!
IIRC, Dawn was Pye's "progressive" label (like Harvest to EMI or Vertigo to Phillips), and Pye used that translucent vinyl compound throughout the 70s. I love finding those.
I admittedly recognized few other than Lady Killer, although my eyebrows popped up accordingly for that one. It's always cool to see a whole bunch of "new" (to me) album covers.
And never apologize for praising an album for having "killer guitars." We watch (and like and subscribe) because we love how you present the material in your own personal style.
dawn is great... love comus and afreaka... need to check what else they put out
One of your heaviest updates in a while, in all the ways. I don't get a lot of the hard rock but a few of these are favorites. Namely that Elias Hulk. A serious ripper. Many I did not know though. You are building THEE most primo hard rock / psych collection around. Can't be that much left to get!
Great video. As have said before, being from the UK and a collector for gulp near 50 years (the first 10 I guess I was a 'buyer of music' if that makes sense), I had to check you hadn't raided my collection! The Bakerloo I have had for 40 yrs...Clem Clempson is the guitarist btw....and Mouse cost me nothing as was doing a deal with a guy about 25 years ago for some Nektar albums and he threw it in for free! Opeth named their album Blackwater Park after said band as that album is a band fav! I have had my Elias Hulk over 30yrs but it is VG at best and the Aunt Marys you could pick up for next to nothing in the 80s.....which I did!
As I also say, it is the US stuff that is grail over here....pick an arm, any arm for an Eric Quincy Tate album or CA Quintets Trip Thru Hell (both on page 1 of my 35yr long wants list) and am running out of 'life' to maybe ever find em! Keep up the good work!
Oh yeah. CA Quintet is a grail everywhere I think 🤣
Dreamin’ Wild baby! 🤩
Yessir! Thanks again!
Great finds
Thanks for watching! 🙏
Crazy amount of killer records! Enjoy!
Thanks!
Bonkers batch of records... amazing stuff. I was on the Waxidermy website when Donnie & Joe Emerson lp got 'discovered'... around 2008 I think. Guy was selling the sealed dead stock for $50 and grateful I got one. Not so good was not buying the Horse lp for £70 when the first UK copy was listed on Discogs. I hesitated for 30 mins or so and then looked again and it was gone....doh!
Woah, this all looks incredible. Also, "Dies Irae" is pronounced "Dee-es-ee-ray. It's latin and a movement in a Requiem mass. Mozart's version is incredible.
I tried my best 🤣
THE REACTION LP AND THE AFTER SHAVE - SKINDEEP ARE KILLER VINYLS, GREAT JOB.,🎸🥃🥁
100k coming up quick!
We will see 🤣
Seriously if I had your collection, I’d have CCTV cameras pointed at my records 24/7 with laser alarms. I can’t even imagine the value at this point.
I have cameras and alarms. Trust me 🤣
My first record was a batman record with a comic.. Played on my tiny junk player.. But i loved it and i still have the comic records.. My first real band record.. Crue shout at the devil.. And my mom bought it for me.. How freaking cool of a mom did i have 🤘
I will admit I did pay almost 450 for the Bakerloo album... few years ago... Not a bootleg though. I did get shammed once though...buying the Ellison album which ended up being the 80's bootleg.... which is still pretty rare.
Haha! What a haul 🤯 Can’t believe you got both Aunt Mary records. Incredibly rare even here in Scandinavia. I got both but took me forever to find. Does the first one include the poster? Even rarer if that’s in there… Great video man! 👏🏻 My biggest want of these which I don’t already have is the Black Spirit LP.
Excellent Dillon!! You Know This My Wheelhouse!! Great Video!! All Is Well in Beaufort!!!! Hope To See You Soon!!
Thanks Dan!
Dies Irae is on the elusive Nurse With Wound list, a list of weird private press and Krautrock stuff compiled by the members of the industrial outfit Nurse With Wound.
Hmmm good to know 🤣 Thanks for watching! 🙏
Making all my dreams come true and taking all my money.. If that isn’t the realest statement I ever heard!!! 😂
Bahahaha yes
This is always educational for me on top of being entertaining. Those are some amazing finds, and now i know what to keep an eye out for. The only one i have is the Octopus, but on CD. I like it, it's very good.
Thanks so much for the kind words!
Some great stuff there! Have you heard Return To Forever's 'Hymn of the Seventh Galaxy' album? It's heavy!
OMG - that Blackwater Park 'Dirt Box' we had in our store that I worked at back in 2015...had it in my hands and I should of bought it. I passed & have regretted it ever since 😮
I got 6 mins in and had to stop at Reaction and have been jammin to it all day. Great stuff!!!!
Hope to see some of that early hard rock! Will be visiting your store very soon. Coming from Des Moines, Iowa! Also will be picking up the Zipper reissue my wife ordered!
Awesome! See you soon!
Love that cover on hairy chapter
The music is even better!
I missed the FARM record yall did everytime. Being from NC about an hour away from the shop it bugs the hell out of me. In my top 5 of major grails for me. I had never heard of it until I saw the one you got before your noble press. Great video I just have to be careful or you turn me onto something unattainable which drives me bonkers. Thanks for all you do for the community. DAVE!
Email me, I may have an extra 😉 Noblerecordstore@gmail.com
Killer as always. Never heard of most of those so thanks for the education.
I have 95% of those albums....great stuff....
I know Bruce, helluva great guy, and a top tier record slinger. The dude has hooked me up with more grails than I could count, over the past couple years. 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Yes sir, good dude
Tyrrell's ?
Holy sh*t man! Wow! Crazy grails. Kudos!
Thanks! Stoked about these!
Same exact reason why i took a deep dive into different genre
Well, I do the same. I get it.
Cool Stuff man! Will chec🎧
I have the lp from Dies Irae and i call it like Desire...
Yeah I'm pretty blown away. I've been collecting records since 1973, I've got over 4k here and most of its classic rock. I've never heard of any of this shit. Wow, thanks for making the vid man.
Ok, I've heard of a couple.
I've owned the Blueberry Hill set for about 50 years. Jim
It’s a Good one!
Awsome. Never heard of these. I did find a nice early copy of Mj Thriller 😊
Nice!
So, there is a British metal band called Grim Reaper, formed in 79. Dunno if that's the same band but if so it'd have to be a very early demo.
Not the same band
I get a lot of Steely Dan vibes from Lady Killer - Mouse; not so much heavy hard rock. One or two tracks are that way though.
Uh…yes…Led Zeppelin/Black Sabbath…I have heard of THOSE before! 😂 Man it’s crazy how you find this obscure stuff - and in that condition... Thanks for sharing and thanks for the lessons!
*Another incredible video Beardo!! Raer vinyls are the best.*
Rayyyyeerrrr
Lots of stuff to investigate
Thanks for watching! 🙏
Great Pick Up’s Dillion.
Thanks!
@@noblerecords You’re welcome.
You should try to make it out to the Austin record show sometime if you’ve never been. The dealers there have some insane stuff that you’ll hardly ever see anywhere else. Might be worth a trip!
I’ve been wanting to go for years but it never lines up with my schedule. I hope to some day!
@@noblerecords I 2nd this if you come down I’ll hook you up with bbq. I’m originally from NC myself but live near Austin
Amazing, so many of those have me bug eyed!
I wrote to you through your website regarding my collection.
🤘awesome..manythnx!🤘 edit: of those first four Sabbath WLP's with the timing strips, which was the hardest to find for you?
Hello
So many rare records you show here, what should have choose? Only heard all of Novembers, but Im from Stockhom.....
Thanks for watching! 🙏
Great stuff, have em all (except the Mutha Goose and Zep boots) but mostly various reissues. A lot of the titles you say are hard rock, I always thought as heavy progressive (The first Cosmos Factory for example... their later lps were more hard rock). Do you have the Daddy Warbucks tax scam album?
I need a record store. 😫
🤣
Got a reissue Dirt Box and those are really hard to find. Great pickup
I got a Cosmos Factory with the obi recently good stuff.😎 Their Second album is also great.
Way to one-up me with the obi! 🤣 killer album!
Not as rare as this stuff, but I haven't🎉 yet heard you mention Haystacks Balboa. I could have just not seen the episode. They were my unholy grail of metal records. Last ten years, they popped up on RUclips, then a CD release version which I got. The album? I haven't seen a copy in fifty years. It is my belief that you'd love it
I do have it. It’s in a video somewhere but probably one of my very old videos. Great record.
Have you ever come across an original Fontana label issue of Kaleidoscope - Tangerine Dream? Big money!!
I haven’t, but I will someday!
question, im 18 and just getting into record collecting and was wondering how much and what you “study” to get the knowledge you do
Well, for me, I’ve collecting records since I was 10, and particularly the past 15 years just been obsessed. I don’t really study, I just buy collections and listen to a lot of records.
Nice.. do you have a copy of Andwella’s World End? On a similar vein to the albums you have posted.
I don’t have a copy, but it’s on my list!
I looked up some info on Winterhawk and found that there were two bands with that name. The other one was a Native American band from the 70s.
Very cool!
I think I passed up on a $10 copy of that Winterhawk record at a record fair about two weeks ago! 😢
🤯
Чувак, ты крут🎉
How's that Yezda Urfa reissue coming?
🤫
I sort of get pains in my chest with some of those beauties!
Sorry 🚨🚑
Hey Dylan, a question: I buy a lot of reissues via Guerssen, Ancient Grease, different labels with the "lost" hard rock one and dones and I've always wondered just how much you think is out there? If I'm being honest, some of what's hyped or reissued really isn't that good, maybe 15% is actually worth it. Wondered if you had any thoughts on this. Probably make a good post itself.
Different strokes I guess, I really like a lot of it. Most of it.
I agree, a lot of the stuff is overrated just because originals are hard to find doesn't mean it's good, most stuff might have 2 or 3 decent tracks and the rest is average
Do you like the dragonfly and yesterday's children albums I know you would have heard of them
Have them both! Love em!
Dylan, I wonder if that band BLACKWATER PARK inspired Opeth to name their fifth album from 2001? Knowing that both Mikael Åkerfeldt and Steven Wilson, who produced it, are big into such stuff I guess that was the case but couldnt find a hint in that direction....!? PS: I am from Germany and I thought I know a little bit about bands from here, but I have never heard from them... Same with REACTION... oh, well...
Give them a listen! I think you’ll enjoy!
Yes, Mikael is a fan of Blackwater Park.
Always enjoy your videos. I will visit your store one day but you have to sell me a Led Zeppelin bootleg
I hope I can some day!
i know where there is a copy of horse in the uk 😂
You should do live streams and comment on current events.
I know, I want to, just always pretty slammed. I’ll try!
👍😎
🙏
Dylan you are the greatest record finder of all times, can you find me a Taylor swift Travis Kielce picture disk hahahahabababababababababababab
🤣🤣🤣
Samples please
If your Mutha Goose LP sounds good, can you upload to the tube?? What's out there now sounds like chit.
I have Truth and Janey 4/8/76 I found for $1 at a garage sale in Kentucky unfortunately it’s warped and am trying to figure out how I can fix it…Any advice?
Oh wow! Email me! Noblerecordstore@gmail.com
BAKERLOO was really a heavy blues-rock band not very progressive. Best known for introducing Dave "Clem" Clempson, guitarist who later went on to great fame with (amongst others) Colosseum and Humble Pie.
Band formed and named after drummer Keith Baker who did not do much after this short lived outfit folded.
Yeah. It’s a good one. It’s not super progressive but still considered prog.
dude your the one that got me back in the vinyl junkie scene again, i stopped
buying now im back into it so i dont know weather to curse at you or say
thank you. HAHA..thanks for another great video.
Haha I’ll take that as a compliment! Thanks for the kind words!
Technically they aren't bootlegs, they are pirates.😊
No, I think technically they are bootlegs. Pirates would be albums that were pirated, or copies unofficially. These are live bootlegs.
@@noblerecords Yes, my fault at the lack of clarity. I wrote this before you got to the Led Zeppelin Boots, which of course are boots. But copies of legit stuff are pirates. I hope that's better :)
U find them cheaper thats why u like to get em for free
the main reason many things are rare is because they sucked and nobody bought it
Well not really. The main reason is that a band may not want to hand over their creative control by signing a major label contract. So they self release their own records, or sign with a small label, which gives them the freedom to release their music the way they want. Which rarely led to commercial success, but is often very good.
Dude the whole beard thing has been over for a long time. Have a shave.
