    All that and one handed! I did my daughter’s Lexus RX350 few weeks ago and it was a pain in the rear. Very patiently explained and you are a great mechanic!

    I would like to think of myself as NOT a RUclips mechanic. But I almost broke the engine block trying to figure out that bracket on the back of the alternator! Your video was awesome! Thank you!! It’s people like you that make RUclips an awesome place for learning frustrating things like this stupid van!!!

    Great video, I appreciate your attention to detail. One more thing that might help the amateurs is a list of parts and tools we will need or find helpful. This way I'm not making 3-4 trips to harbor freight! Thanks again for making the videos!

    When adding coolant back into the radiator, turn on the vehicle, turn on/up the heater. This will help get the bubbles from the heater core out. Do this till you cant see anymore bubble, add coolant as needed then put the radiator cap back on

    Nice job, what's the time requirement for this job? And where did you get those running boards?

    • @oscars-autorepair3236
      @oscars-autorepair3236  3 года назад +1

      Good day George, estimated time for this job is about 1.5 hr, and I made the running boards from 2x4's and 1/2 plywood. I specifically made it for my midlift to work on Low profile cars.

      Hi Francisco, this van had 97k miles, it had the original Toyota alternator. It's really a hit and miss on when the alternator fail. Some can last 1 Year others can last up to 15 years it just depends.

    I Just replaced the alternator on my 2013 Sienna the same exact way you did it. Now the car cranks but would not start. I got a brand new battery. Do you what might the problem be?

    Hey, 2013 Sienna 115 thousand miles. Battery died without battery light warning. Van had a weak start one morning but she never cut off then 3 days later she wouldn't start. Put new battery in she's good. Now should I change the alternator ?????

    • @oscars-autorepair3236
      @oscars-autorepair3236  2 года назад

      Alternator should only be changed when they are malfunction. Some can last for many years. If she is running strong don't change the alternator. You will go thru 7-10 battery before having to change the alternator. I hope this advise helps

      Also check the battery that it has at least 12.3v in order to turn on the van. I am guessing that's why the alternator was replaced

    • @rockstarryan4435

      I had the same problem. It was one of the two wires inside the silver wrap that go to the crank sensor behind the compressor.
