Great hack. I have both the LF and XL stoves. Saw your vid and tried it out. Take some pliers and bend the 2 tabs to 90 degrees. Hook them into the stove. Much more stable. Thanks again for posting this.

👍👍👍 .. good idea, I must try that.
On my LF, sticking a set of Trivits through the stove at the bottom and then hooking a Grill Plate vertical on the outside, allows one to make Toast whilst leaving the top open for other stuff.
Thinking further, a piece meat wedged therein instead of bread should also do nicely .. must try that too.

Dan, I was wondering if You had come across the stoves made under the brand of MFH? They are usually marketed as MFH Outdoors, sometimes MFH Outdoors Fox (they sometimes have the Hobo version which is also marketed as Fox, but Hobo is the smaller one). I can't find any videos on their bigger version, just the Hobo stove, but apparently they are being made in Germany, just like the Bushbox, and the size of the MFH Outdoors is almost the same as the Bushbox XL, maybe a tiny bit bigger, and it comes with its own grill plate already. Weight is pretty much the same, it weights ALOT, even a bit more the Bushbox XL. They also use a kinda similar folding design, but MFH are quite a bargain price wise. I can buy one here in Latvia for 35 EUR, while bare-bones Bushbox XL costs around 80 EUR, plus grill plate and other accessories. I am kinda being on the verge - I was looking at Bushbox XL for a few months (I got a small light-weight titanium stove from ebay which works fine), but now I kinda have to make a decision between these two. Perhaps, You do own the MFH or at least have heard something good (or bad?) about their products?
