@@RunNscar3d to me that sounds like you only see a relationship with a women as “beneficial” if she wants to sleep with you. women are able to be friends with the opposite gender because we’re not sexualizing you. i think “boyfriend benefits” is a weird way to put a friendship. but i guess if you want to put it that way, yes you get those gf/bf benefits without sex and that can be incredibly helpful for both sides. it is good to get different perspectives from the opposing gender. it’s just another friendship honestly. i think the problem truly lies in some men being unable to see women, especially ones they find attractive, in a non-sexual way. and that’s an issue. you can relate and see people on a humane level, and when you master that you can stop having sausage parties and not withhold yourself from potentially amazing friendships with beautiful women.

But if they're both single and both attracted to the opposite gender, and both are aesthetically pleasing to the eyes (conceding their personal preference) then I'd say it is very unlikely but still technically possible... just rare.

Here's the thing, due to inherent differences in behaviour and thinking, most dudes have absolutely no interest(conscious or not) in becoming close friends with a female in the way they are friends with their mates. So if they're trying to become friends with a girl, 99% chance he is attracted to her to begin with. If he ends up on the friendzone permanently, it's usually her choice not his, and he'll still treat her differently and not be completely spontaneous and honest like he is with his friends(without even realizing), and that's why women pretend they don't know and keep them around, for the special treatment, attention, and validation.
You never see an attractive guy who is just friends with an ugly chick. It's always either a Dork, or they're fucking/ed.
