- Christmas music! Well that's something I've never done before. I was just gonna do one Christmas song for this season, but as I worked on a secret Christmas song, I felt more and more inspiration flowing... Before I knew it, I was making a Christmas EP. xD That's right, my Christmas EP, "Canterlot Carols", will be released within the next week or so. Instead of making you guys wait though, I figured I'd upload one of the songs a little early. So here it is! A Christmas classic with a metal twist, thanks to the amazing Bronyfied. He really put a lot of time and work into this song to get it done this quickly, so a big thanks to him.
Oh, and in keeping with the Christmas spirit, this EP will be completely free. So this song is as well! Download away.

Someone PLEASE re-record this with the lyrics of 'Carol of the Old Ones'. This is absolutely begging for lyrics predicting the return of the Great Old Ones!
I was idly singing that in my head before I found this comment.
I've made it a Christmas tradition to share this song with everyone I know. So much so that I've done a guitar cover for it, which was tedious, but fun to get together.

This is literally my favorite Christmastime song now. I don't normally partake in Christmas music until at least December, but this song I will play year-round.
I don't know why, though, but I feel like writing lyrics to it...the line "Go, Twilight, go! Ne-ver alone! Fly for the light! Fight the good fight!" came out of nowhere and I just really kinda wanna go with it...

I don't know how well known this music is outside of the US. I know I never knew it existed until I started roaming the internet, which is, when all's said and done, majorly filled with american culture. I first heard it through parodies, and thought "okay, there goes an other silly christmas song". Then I heard "official" versions, and I thought "damn... it's better than I thought".
And then I heard this... why does metal + classic sound so friggin' beautiful...

I loved what you did with Carol of the Bells! I play piano, so I remember playing that when I was younger. I also loved the twist of metal you added in there, because that as well as dubstep are two of my three favorite genres of music. I'm enjoying all of your guys' works.
