I would love a remaster of this song. Still a wonderful song, but over the many years, your skills have become refined. I would love to see those refined skills on these older songs.
The best lesson Twilight ever learned: that no matter what you can do, no matter how much you try to protect it, no matter everything you might have done... sometimes everything you care for just fades away...
Ean Haworth Oh? Do explain. Seeing how this is a fictional ending that never occurred, and that Twilight would likely perish under the given circumstances, hence the title: "One Last Letter", it's ironic that the last lesson she had to report was such. And compared to the other, redemptive lessons she's learned throughout the series, this one remains to be the truest and most defining. That sometimes, as much as you hate to admit it, there was nothing you could have done to save that which you held dearest. At least, that's my view on it.
Yet you can always do something, anything can be fixed. I'm pulling my logic on the fact that Equaestria is a land of magic based off of two factions of magic: harmony and chaos. the show revolves around the "Elements of freindship". the ending you depicted is an ending where Twilight lost all HOPE that anything could be done to fix the problem.
Ean Haworth One might believe that anything can be fixed, but in reality, some things just can't. You can try your best to prevent it, and take steps to delay it, but some things in life are inevitable. In hindsight, one could see things they could have done differently, but by then, it's too late. Often times we like to see and recollect on the positive things around us, but the painful truth is that we can't fix everything. The lesson to be learned here is not that bad things happen, but that you must learn to accept that there was nothing you could have done to stop it.
I know that some things can't have been prevented (true Ex:my friend commited suicide on my birthday.) but when it comes to over throwing a tyrant, push becomes shove and next thing you know your in the middle of a revolution. chances are Discord would be overthrown at some point or another. nothing lasts fo ever 'specially tyrants.
It got a very dark and grim tone, creating a powerful contrast to the show. I think you have done an excellent job presenting this vision of an alternate future, I am very impressed. Thank you both for this awesome piece, I hope to see more collaboration work from you two.
Holy crap! This is amazing! I mean, I would expect a collaboration between two such talented artists to be amazing, but this defies expectations. So fantastic.
Chills. Not many songs give me chills. It's one of the ways I know I've discovered a true gem. This is an absolutely gorgeous piece: haunting, yet aggressive; melancholy, yet driving. I hope you guys collaborate again; I'd love to see what else you can do.
Did anyone else see One last letter and think of Pinkie Pie's last letter to Twilight that never got through from Fallout: Equestria? Or is this just my particular brand of insanity that makes me obsess and see the thing that I am obsessed with everywhere?
Someone said that aviators could be a poet. And I agree after this person analysed the lyrics of two songs of yours. (including this one) And I can't imagine Celestia doing what she did by what you are implying in this song, Aviators. But nevertheless, great work.

First Brony song I've ever heard, before that I though it was just fanfics. Thank you for being my gateway into a frankly huge amount of fan content. Never even been on EQD (Won't work on my computer) but between so many awesome songs and vids on youtube, plus fanfictions I'll be kept busy.
Awesome vocals. What's more, it doesn't straddle my break to falsetto like a bunch of other songs do. I've had it on my iPod for a while now, but I just can't get over it.
Just when I thought that I had experienced the bet of our music, I stumbled across this little gem. Your music has exceeded every one of my expectations, SoubdOfTheAviators, and I consider myself honored to have been able to enjoy such incredible music during my short stay in this world.
TheUltimateKitty What Twilight doesn't know it's that Celestia turned more and more of Equestrian economy to produce ice cream. But once every piece of sugar gets turned into ice cream, yet Celestia demands more, her highness' nerve breaks down and she wraths on all the lands, Equestrian or not in search of more ice cream.
Same here, I think I stopped caring after S3 ended. IMHO the show started lacking more and more in the quality department from Season 3 onwards. I loved S1, I liked S2, S3 was watchable, but the rest was just unbearable for me. The longer it went on, the more it looked like an effortless cash grab/toy advertisement to me. Also dissociating from the fandom due to the influx of cringy children in 2012-2014 only made me even less interested in the show. But I'll always keep the fan music in my heart.
@@Dengar97 I watched to season 7 then stopped since I had out grown it, season 8 came out after I stopped watching. I don't remember much about it but my favorite seasons were 1 and 2.
Wow, this was a pretty epic song. I especially like the rock part. I would usually suggest adding a few background vocals at various parts of the song, but I think it sounds nice with one voice alone. Great job!
Mad Raven Studios Yeah I know that but is Twilight sending Celestia her suicide letter because everything went to shit and she doesnt know how to save chaos-ridden Equestria?
+TheUltimateKitty My take on it is that she's got a desperate plan that probably won't work and will likely kill her when she tries it. So in a way a suicide note but she sounds like she has a plan to go down fighting.
you can feel the emotions in this song, the most powerfullest thing in this song is at the last verse "Dear princess the lesson i learned today is that sometimes everything fades away..." Bravo, Bravo. this is a work of art
Who watching all of Tyler's old songs. I am and this one was amazing! This sounds definitely brings a message. I feel bad for Twilight. Her friends are gone, her family is gone, her home is gone, Equestria is gone, forever. 10/10 for this Tyler Shaw! You and Bronyfied did great!

I hate how people hate this song just because it has to do with ponies and stuff but this song can be different stories and meanings to you guys.
Exactly! I'm not a brony (never watched MLP), but this song is amazing! The lyrics are just so... deep.
I'm not a brony either but I like this song anyway. It can be interpreted in different ways, maybe you should post your interpretation of it here.
When i was not a brony i loved this song to.
I know it cou be about a knight that is losing a huge war and reporting to the princess about what is happening
It has 29 dislikes. I think you're being over dramatic

Haunting lyrics with a haunting tune and epicness mixed in. Aviators, you are a true musical genius. And kudos to Bronyfied for the epic guitar.
Still rockin' it in 2019!
Still, my bro. Hi frome Russia ))
played this at a gig for fun and people actually loved the song even if they din't get the lyrics but that made it 20% cooler to play!
Played with a live band? I want a video that would be so awesome. I was thinking of preforming "Rejected" by Tarby at my school's music day.
yeah live band i am the singer for the small band just performed it at school due to the music teacher hearing us play in a teachers room
Happy 10th Anniversary!
Taking a nostalgia trip down my "Fav'd Music" playlist. I think this track was my first intro to Aviators. ❤

Wow. This takes me back.
It's cool to see how you've improved over the years, Avi. Keep up the great work.
...if equestria had a world war...
Look up Fallout equestria Finbarr Arsenault
Tyler P love it want to get a hard cover copy of it and use it as a bed time story for my little girl.
blunt raps In the case that your not joking, I have to say that's a VERY bad idea.
Do you know how a world war works? It means a good portion of the planet all fight, if it was only equestria it would be a civil war
DicetheCube Hmmm, in fact no, I OBVIOUSLY don't know how a world war works.
It's late 2023 and this song has been stuck in my head all week. Banger as all of your music has been for many years.

2 years later, but you got me curious. What is implied? What did Celestia do?
How has this taken me so long to discover . . .
needs to be animated! someone do it QUICK!
How disappointing...
I'm not an animator, but I've tried making a GIF once... I don't know how to put audio though

+Tamas Kish It is literally impossible to do animation quickly. It's incredibly hard.
Yes, but that doesn't mean that they can't get started now.

You can say "Cover" instead of version C: but yes I'd like it
EdBoy1215 i could but i dont have materials to do it with. :c im broke
Aurora the Unicorn she made a cover of this song a long time ago

No, it's Twilight's last letter to Celestia.
