If there is one director who has the courage to properly explore the journey of a soul and not just characters limited to their worldly personalities, it’s Imtiaz Ali. And only those who get why the moth chases the light, and why our souls can’t help but be pulled in an inexplicable direction that’s meant for us, beyond all logic and right and wrong, truly get films like these. It’s the painful journey from knowing things to knowing nothing at all, and through the frustration of it all, learning to give in and surrender to the truth of our existence, even if we risk being consumed by it. But this video gave me this new perspective which makes so much sense, that what JJ seeks is freedom. And he gets that with Heer, which is why he does not care when they are together. There was a time in 2011- 2019 when all the time this music was on loop in my heart and soul. I always think no one will ever understand what they have woven in music. There's layers of human nature, sufi love, philosophy, and human physiology. You did this job very well. You solved unexpected myestry that i thought no one's ever solved out this in mine opinion.
