On the topic of line " दिल बांग बांग मेरा टकराया" bang bang also signify the Morning or Days because roosters give "बांग" to announce the dawn of day. So i used to interpret it as "My heart always beats harder every day in wait of my lover and while watching his way".
the call of rooster, the time of day, the sleepless night, the wait, the hope and hopeless-ness, bang bang of heart, all is bunched together in the simple lines. thank you both. lots of love.

9:38 this part seems fimilar to me the story of an anime movie named "5 centimeters per second" which is also split in 3 parts with different tones and setting like this song. So the story i that lovers are not able to meet together , or even if they meet , they cant say anything to each other maybe because of differences or maybe due to "Majbooriyan". The more they try to meet each other , the more desperate and restless they become but they can't but due to "Majbooriyan" and differences . They grow more restless day by day unable to focus on their work and life and hence it becomes a curse. This is my little half baked observation😅😅. Hope you understood what I wanted to say. Edit -> corrected some grammatical and syntax errors. 👍
I love it!!! This is why we love the art that we do.. how we can cannot two really discretely independent worlds and bring them together, here in our experience!

I am living in Bihar in present but my mother is from Punjab. Whenever my sir talks something about the culture of Pakistan I always say yes hamare wahan aise hi hai . But whenever someone says hateful about there I don't feel good at all because we were united at a time. And we cannot ignore it ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The situation is similar here in Pakistan with Muhajirs. Whenever there are cultural conversations about Delhi and other parts of India that the Muhajir community belongs to, we naturally feel a deep connection. My grandparents were from 'Rani Khet' in Delhi, so I've always felt that my heart belongs to Delhi and its culture. It saddens me even more that we can't visit our ancestral homeland, and now our history has faded so much that our children aren't able to feel the same attachment we always did
It just got me tears after knowing the meaning. Kuch gaane hum bs esehi sun jate h bt after knowing the actual meaning of the song it feels like a different world ✨🌍 Love the explanations ❤❤❤

Here's my interpretation of the magazine scene: Bcoz this song is about breaking all the bounds that the society has put up, the girl is reading a fashion magazine which might mean that she is seeking the liberty to choose how she wants to get dressed. Her clothes don't decide her charm and she's the "Noor" regardless.
According to me, the line "Aa jave dil tera, poora bhi na hove" is like a wish saying that "i wish you give your heart to someone with such fervour, that your will never be whole again. This way you will forever remember how freeing and ecstatic it is to love."
Brilliant video! Made us wait but worth it. The best part about the song is the divine justice that has been served by destiny that it eventually ended up crossing borders without anyone actually understanding the lyrics, when the lyrics were asking for just that to happen. I think you deserve more Pakistani subscribers now. :) All the best to this chapter of your life of a full time youtuber!

I feel like ‘mere dhol judaiyain di tenu khabar kive hove, aa jaave dil tera, poora bhi na hove' conveys you don't understand the pain of separation, and when you finally understand my pain my love my agony, it would make you fall for me but by that time it would be too late and it won't be useful anymore n this would break your heart ! Basically, he tries to say its better to put fire on your majborees n unite in love before it's too late.
The song reaches heaven and angels take over when the duet starts (mere dhol judaiyan di sardari na hove.... this part). No matter how many times i lesten this part hits the same
Borders are the enemies of culture and tradition, This whole south indian language and culture, panjabi, sindhi, kashmiri, bengoli and every region there is below Himalayas, everything feels so indian and feels like ek hi ghar ke
Every thing was right until I saw everyone feels Indian. Nope dude, no one does that here. You should've mention the Pashto language, which is the 2nd largest language spoken in Pakistan while mentioning the other languages if you're talking about Pakistan n its languages
Western countries also share same culture. They never talk about that borders are enemies. Borders here between pakistan and india is givibg confidence in pakistani muslims that we are not second grade citizens now and we dont havr to prove our patriotism each day

There might be differences of opinion, there might be differences in culture and so many more differences but the no one can deny the fact that WE ARE ONE AND THE SAME...our hearts are connected.... spreading this word of unity should surely start from our neighbours who are actually our brothers and sisters....it's high time that the people of both the countries decide their own future ... though our past have been bloody, but didn't both the side lose in the conflict....and for the betterment of the subcontinent and their people we should have common grounds for business, education arrt, cricket..... Lastly how can we forget , brothers can't be enemies...love from Kolkata....I strongly believe we are meant to be together

Have watched Kun Faya Kun, Tum tak, Pasoori, and Ik Bagal mein so far. It is indescribable what you are doing. To ke you are like a modern Sufi darvesh and a Baul yourself. Thank you.
PS: Get the editor to smoothen transitions within the video and relatively fewer of them (KFK and Tum Tak were just right in that sense).
Man ! this is truly genius. Thank you so much for dissecting this absolute banger of a song.
Thanks!
Hey, Thanks alot!!!
Amazing video, very well researched i must say.
After watching this video, respect for the art and artist has increased👏👏👏👏
Purpose Achieved then
😊
On the topic of line " दिल बांग बांग मेरा टकराया" bang bang also signify the Morning or Days because roosters give "बांग" to announce the dawn of day. So i used to interpret it as "My heart always beats harder every day in wait of my lover and while watching his way".
nice
Very nice!! We have one more interpretation added now
the call of rooster, the time of day, the sleepless night, the wait, the hope and hopeless-ness, bang bang of heart, all is bunched together in the simple lines. thank you both. lots of love.
Well this video just came in randomly on my youtube and just because of pasoori word i clicked and watched but man from the very start the way you gripped everyones attention and the way you portraited the whole song and defined the meaning simply superb outstanding ❤❤ loved it how beautifully you explained even i never realised how special this song was and how deep and meaningful it can be great job ❤❤
I am always curious on how my videos are getting discovered and received thereon. What really made me happy was the part that you said 'it gripped you' - the editor and the script writer in me are now going in for a small party! Thank you for clicking on this video and sharing how you felt about it ❤️
It took me a while to finally watch the complete video and there's just one thing I wanna say, just how these wonderful songs add more meaning to our rather unpleasant lives, your videos, brings us closer and familiarise ourselves to what we know we love. Hence, enhances the euphoria we explain while loving it.
Using Mahi mera while describing the lyrics of pasoori is mastermind
Oh my God!!! You know Poulami, you are perhaps the only one who noticed that :)
Are you referencing to to any language poulami???
Language of "mahi mera" is actually punjabi jangli or jhangvi dialect spoken in central punjab 🇵🇰 ( in the region of jhang, chiniot district )
Love from central punjab 🇵🇰
You interpreted very beautifully.....Thank you for these beautiful videos.
For someone who knows entry level HIndi, Punjabi sounds even more difficult to understand/relate. Thanks for explaining this in details and enriching us!
Shiv Sir, I hope I could really bring it to your understanding! Thank you for commenting and letting me know

We can only imagine how much hard work you might have put into creating this video. Amazing work. Going to listen to pasoori now.
I am glad the work is getting recognition.. it makes everything so worth it!!! Do come back after listening and tell me how you felt about it now
9:38 this part seems fimilar to me the story of an anime movie named "5 centimeters per second" which is also split in 3 parts with different tones and setting like this song.
@@Inotherwordsyt True that I've seen that what a beautiful movie by makoto shinkai
Omg. You friggin nailed it.
I was ALWAYS wondering why is this curse thrown right in the middle in such a beautiful longing.

I am living in Bihar in present but my mother is from Punjab.
Whenever my sir talks something about the culture of Pakistan I always say yes hamare wahan aise hi hai . But whenever someone says hateful about there I don't feel good at all because we were united at a time. And we cannot ignore it ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
This comment is so pure and so heartwarming! Made my day
The situation is similar here in Pakistan with Muhajirs.

Kuch gaane hum bs esehi sun jate h bt after knowing the actual meaning of the song it feels like a different world ✨🌍
Love the explanations ❤❤❤
Very well explained! Some of the meaning I had got from the making video of Pasoori, but this really tied everything together.
For me as well, the making was a huge trigger.. apart from the other 2/3 interviews I clipped! Specially if you see the ending of video.. what Ali says towards the end.. really stole my heart away!
You surprise us everytime. Pls keep continuing what you are doing. It's very informative and inspiring as well. Pls do more and more songs like this taaki hum bhi yeh gaano ke sahi matlab(meaning ) ko jaan sake, use mehsoos kar sake. Thank you so much Brother 🙏❤ you are doing great job.
Abb main jab bhi "pasoori" sunuga, it will not be the same.
Absolutely charming. When I first heard this I did not fully understand it but it blew my mind. Now hearing you and listenning to you I can truely appreciate the lyrics, the orchestration, dancing. tgether they lend it an atmosphere that is magical. Your efforts to fill the gaps in understanding and deeply appreciate the song I feel full of gratitude. So thank you.

I always loved the song never truly understanding what the lyrics meant. Now the song will feel even more beautiful. Thank you so much for this video. And I love the friends photo frame in the background ❤
I hope it does feel beautiful! Tbh, I had not watched FRIENDS and only started recently but now I am hooked, almost towards it's end but what a great sitcom!!!

Visaaaaaa ❤️
Here's my interpretation of the magazine scene: Bcoz this song is about breaking all the bounds that the society has put up, the girl is reading a fashion magazine which might mean that she is seeking the liberty to choose how she wants to get dressed. Her clothes don't decide her charm and she's the "Noor" regardless.
Haha, aint you a poet yourself?

According to me, the line "Aa jave dil tera, poora bhi na hove" is like a wish saying that "i wish you give your heart to someone with such fervour, that your will never be whole again. This way you will forever remember how freeing and ecstatic it is to love."
I wait for your videos. And this one is really magical. Loved it bro😍😍
It's always scary to put something new out, because I know Aasif is waiting, sach mein!!!
You have touched the depths... good work!
All the best to this chapter of your life of a full time youtuber!

Borders are the enemies of culture and tradition, This whole south indian language and culture, panjabi, sindhi, kashmiri, bengoli and every region there is below Himalayas, everything feels so indian and feels like ek hi ghar ke
Wow! Time for an Indian Version of Pasoori
Every thing was right until I saw everyone feels Indian. Nope dude, no one does that here. You should've mention the Pashto language, which is the 2nd largest language spoken in Pakistan while mentioning the other languages if you're talking about Pakistan n its languages
Borders are also enemy of cricket too..
Western countries also share same culture. They never talk about that borders are enemies. Borders here between pakistan and india is givibg confidence in pakistani muslims that we are not second grade citizens now and we dont havr to prove our patriotism each day
as always, brilliantly put. when pasoori came out i went into decoding this song too, but god damn i didn't catch all the references and suggestions in the music video itself. good work! i love watching your videos when i eat 💗💗💗💗

I strongly believe that it's high time we need to join hands .....and let the world see our growth together with awe.....
Ek side se kuch nahi hota h you are forwarding your hand or voh bomb de rahe no we don't want that I love and respect sacrifice of our soldiers..I don't want these things on the name of just entertainment
