In low light conditions the remote buttons light up for several seconds when the remote is moved . Ideal if your watching something with the lights off . When its finished you can pick up the remote and see where the buttons are.

Had mine 4yrs. Best android box in the market! Kodi works flawlessly when set up correctly.

Use to use kodi, but I found much better apps. Try out Hdo box and cinema HD. Much better than kodi!

I loved mine. It was simply rock-solid and always served us well. Then it died. R.I.P. I opened it, cleaned it, though it was very clean inside. It started throwing HDCP errors and then blinking the image every 5 seconds, despite multiple HDMI cable and monitor swaps. RIP, little pointed black box, you were awesome. Too bad the device line is EOL, now. It is way too expensive to replace.

Hi, about that "find my remote" feature you mentioned. How do you activate that? Do you need to already have that xbox controller paired with the shield device, or can you do it over the network or something?

The shield tv app on your phone has the find my remote feature as well; you can also use the phone as a remote in the interim if you can't locate the physical one for whatever reason. It is pretty neat to have on your phone just in case! I only really use the app to type in searches if i cant use my mic
