I seriously don't understand how they make this show work, even as I'm watching it, but they do somehow. It's wild
They adapted the story as faithfully as possible, cut out all the filler, kept all the goofy anime bullshit, and made all the serious moments 10x more emotional. The most shocking thing to me is that it’s fucking Netflix of all platforms that gave us the first good anime adaptation.

OK....this was FUN. I think I'm starting to see the appeal of this series to its fans, now. The characters seem really likable, too.

When I saw Zoro for the first time in the Anime a few years back, The moment he said he fights with 3 swords, I literally said "HOW?!"

Hell no. That's not the point. The point is to convey Luffy's power. He was supposed to put down Ax Hand all by himself and every marine was supposed to watch Luffy in terror.
This whole "team-up Avengers" nonsense is that American superhero stuff.
That's not One Piece.
Overall, it's good so far, but I better not see anymore team ups. Everyone is supposed to get their 1v1 brawls. And Luffy is supposed to dominate the big fights.
@@danielsmithiv1279 To be fair it was already shown with Alvida that Luffy is hella strong, that was already stated, I just feel like this moment shows glimpses of what the crew CAN be. I think it was a very strong showing and it personally kept me going for the season just off that.

true. he recently say he was familiar with using 2 swords so that part wasn't difficult for him but using 3 swords was a bit challenging and he ended up having a lot of cuts in his mouth from holding the sword in the mouth. honestly props to the dedication of all the actors.
