Hey everyone. If you're wondering what the message is in the corner, it's because all donations I receive during live streams is going in a pot towards my new permanent workshop build. You can help if you want, but you don't have to 😅 www.streamelements.com/thecod3r/tip Fanx
Quality fix pal. I've got one similar but instead a Series X. 1v inject 1a draw but NOTHING getting hot on 12v rail. Actually went up to 3a but stone cold. Wonder if I should now just start pulling the 12v fets to see if that sorts it 🤣🤣
Don't you just use a cheap ebay transistor tester to check identical FET circuits, ie, the shorted one will show "Unidentified Part" or something else, while the good ones show a FET.
Typical would be the last flipping one. I had the same another fet though, with voltage injection couldn’t see any heat on the fet, with PSU beep on beep off, could see minor heat on one fet. Removed and short gone 😁
I just found your channel and this was awesome! I have an Xbox series S who’s power flashes and shuts right down, have you ever seen anything like this or have a video fixing this type of fault?
I haven't seen that personally but it would depend how quickly it happens really. If it happens during gameplay it could be overheating, if it happens on the dashboard or as soon as it starts up it could be the power supply or some board issue 🤔
Thanks buddy. The music I use is from Envato Elements. It's a paid service but the selection is great. This particular song is here: elements.envato.com/hip-hop-n-chill-7AEYHKV
Just found this good job ! , I have major graphical issue lots of pixilatetion/blocks , hdmi port is fine as when you stream it still looks the same. Any ideas ?
Hi TheCod3r,loving your videos so keep up the amazing work and was if you could help me please.I have an xbox series x that boots up to the dashboard fine and you can navigate on it.The only issue is that it keeps freezing about one minute into a game or sometimes you can get more than that once you restart the console and then it goes bk to the dashboard without freezing.
What do you think about ARCTIC MX-4 ? I'm using it for my PS4 and this is the first time taking it down this far . I've removed the power supply and fan to clean it and the cooling fins .what's your thoughts?
Curious as to whether you have ever used a milliohm meter to locate shorts, though you remove / retest / refit components faster than most people blink.
I use the multimeter but you're right, it doesn't take me long to remove and refit the mosfets so it doesn't matter too much when you know what's on that rail, and the common failures too. This entire repair from start to finish only lasted 61 minutes including interacting with chat so it wasn't too bad 😀
Lol nah around $2k, to be honest it'll likely be more like $3500 (about £3000) for the size I need because the cost of wood has increased but I wanted to put a lower amount because I will be putting towards it myself :)
No I haven't listed it mate because they aren't selling for enough to make a decent profit so I've basically stripped it down to sell the parts from it

Haha thanks mate, I love being able to have fun. Being my own store I can take the piss a bit and have a laugh at my own expense lol

Cheers buddy, and yeah definitely, give it a whirl
Check the big caps next to the power connector, I found that to fix one series x the other day where nothing was getting hot and wasn’t the mofsets
Nice fix sir
Thanks bud
Hey buddy
At this situation I desolder one side of vcore inductors and lift them up.
To find that is the short from apu side or the mosfets side
Don't you just use a cheap ebay transistor tester to check identical FET circuits, ie, the shorted one will show "Unidentified Part" or something else, while the good ones show a FET.
Love the sponsor!! Lol 😂
Hi Phil, great video. Do you sell those mosfets on your store? I've found the ones on the other side of the APU listed, but not those. Thanks

Haha you gotta love it

“Your friendly money grabbing youtuber” LMAOOOOO I LOVE IT MAN ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Haha I'm definitely not wrong 😅
So did Cod3r buy a house. I'm guessing since he is building a shed.
Amazing repair as always! by the way what's the song at 10:45 ?

Would it work to desolder the coils to isolate the short?
It's difficult to say but I'll try that next time. It would really depend what side of the coil the short is at
Hi Mate, have you got a magic wand?
That’s a job for Leakseeker.

It's better than factory but I personally use kryonaut because it helps the consoles live even longer.
Yeah I use MX-4 for all my repairs. As B9NE says Kryonaut is better but it's more expensive. MX-4 will do perfectly fine
@@TheCod3r thank you both.
MX-4 is my goto as well. It's more than good enough and good value.
@@KL-zt6jx thank you

Help I need to replace my Xbox one s APU 😢
My sons xbox I had a replacement as case so bad lol 😂
i love that ad
Did I read this right $200,000 for a shed in England? Things have seriously gone up.
Lol nah around $2k, to be honest it'll likely be more like $3500 (about £3000) for the size I need because the cost of wood has increased but I wanted to put a lower amount because I will be putting towards it myself :)
omfg is that phil using an xclamp tool.
Yep I've changed bruh 😂
console fiiiiiix
Haha
I use to work on the original Xbox a long time ago and remember a time when I had 40 or 50 of them in the basement the wife was not a fan lol
Do you sell this console anywhere so I can buy it from you with PayPal?
No I haven't listed it mate because they aren't selling for enough to make a decent profit so I've basically stripped it down to sell the parts from it
Wtf is that console fix advertisement bro 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Haha got to love it 😀
