Personally, I kind of wish I'd had spent the money from Satisfactory on more copies of Factorio for my friends. It's okay but it just doesn't press the same buttons as factorio at all. You nailed it when you said, "there's no challenge". You get to a point in Satisfactory in about 50ish hours, where you realise you're automating just to automate and there's nothing else. At that point I usually just give up on my factory and take a break for a couple of weeks. In factorio there's this kind of unrelenting pressure that's continually urging you to go on, to expand more, to get that next upgrade. It could be upwards of 200 hours in a single playthrough before you even consider restarting, but you'll soon give up on that idea because the factory must grow and you're in it forever. I do like Satisfactory, I think eventually it'll turn out to be a decent enough game but it's not there yet, and from the speed of their development, it won't be for at least another 2 - 3 years.
Great job mentioning that Factorio and Satisfactory could simply never replace each other, but I feel like there's a lot more to Factorio than you mentioned, even in less than one minute. (Oh, and some of the footage used is from a much older version)

Sorry, but if you don't have a capable PC, get one. Consoles can be fun and nice, but from a pc users perspective, consoles are a bit too "shallow", a computer will really enhance you experience and let you do so much more.
@@novideohereatall Thank you for not being a PC elitist douchebag about this, you’ve earned my respect. However, there is one thing PC players in general need to know, not just the elitists. And that one thing is:PCs aren’t cheap, and not everyone can afford one, like myself, and for those people consoles may be their only choice in their current financial position.Overall, thank you for not being a OC elitist douchebag about this situation, but also keep in mind that not everyone can afford a gaming computer.
@@joelkp1185 If you have a console, enjoy it. Don't sell it and buy a half assed "console killer" pc for $500, which in reality isn't comparable to what consoles cost. PS4 and Xbox One can be found for $200 or less, new.. Hard to beat. A PC will almost always cost more to buy into, especially if you don't have some old computer to build from. In my case I never really had any consoles. We had a WII, and I played PS2, PS3 and Xbox 360 when I visisted friends. I was lucky enough to get a pretty "ok" computer for about $400. Not a gaming beast in any way. For the time it couldn't even run games that well at all. But I just cranked down the graphics and had fun. My parents were pretty poor, so I got their old computers, consoles were too expensive. My first big investment was a power supply and graphics card. Cost me $200 in total, after months of saving. (GTX 660, budget but great value), and I was blown away by the performance! A couple of years after that I upgraded the CPU. Then I've just continued, upgraded from time to time when I had money. My current computer (everything except the graphics card) is 6 years old, and still performs perfectly. I still play games from the Xbox 360 era (2003- ) from time to time. If you are interested in tech, and like to tinker, it is a very awarding experience. See how your old timer bearly runs Ark, screaming at you like the thing is having a meltdown, then finally getting your hands on a new gpu, able to crank up the settings to transform Ark from a blurry mess to a beautiful artpiece, while still being your old, trusted computer. Incrimental upgrades is key, especially to avoid oblitterating your wallet. The second hand market is your friend. Even a stone age i7 3770k will still run perfectly fine, and that cpu is about 10 years old. In the long run they can be cheaper than consoles even. And you don't have to buy a new console to play the newer games when they release. Everything is available, from 30 year old DOS games to the latest and greatest. That is the most important factor for me. Steam and the ridiculous Sales events they have is a BIG money saver in the long run. I've paid $60 for a game ONCE, most of the time I just enjoy other games until I can get a 50% or even 80% discount. Have nothing new to play? Just mod the crap out of an old title. You get kind of a weird connection with your computer. However, if you find that your work, or daily life requires you to get a computer, which most people still need, try to build a desktop, but skip graphics if money is an issue. Buy a graphics card later, just make sure to get a good power supply. Then you have a good workstation, that you can then transform into a gaming station. Most arcade, indie and old games run perfectly off build in graphics from the CPU, and can be a blast to play. Laptops are convenient but boy are they expensive in the long run. My SO litterarly sold her 2 core Macbook Air for a 6 core i5 beast of a desktop. Laptops are bonkers. If you are interested I wish you the best of luck, it's an experience, and money doesn't need to be a big issue if you buy used. Until then, enjoy your console. Some games are actually better on console, and their UI is actually pretty nice for laid back fun.
@@novideohereatall Thanks, I appreciate the advice.Although, I don’t think I’ll be upgrading to a PC anytime soon, as the only reason I would want to get a Pc is to play Steam/Epic Games store exclusive games like satisfactory and valheim, and maybe if I were to look at starting to stream in twitch, RUclips, etc.But as of now, I don’t think that will happen because I’m more of a casual gamer.I don’t really worry about graphics or frame rates and I don’t really play real competitive games like Apex legends or Battlefield, which definitely need that high performance to get the absolute best out of them.I play more simple, not as popular games like subnautica, Monster Hunter World, Predator Huntjng grounds etc.I have a very fun time playing those on my PS5 and sometimes I even play games like Ark, predator and warframe with my friend online via PSN.Also there is the issue about console wars, which I do not support. If I’m gonna be honest, just play what you enjoy, whether it be Xbox or PlayStation.I support that all gamers are equal, regardless of platform.

I spent 20 hours building my factory only to discover there’s a slightly more efficient way to do everything.
So yeah that was the start of my depression
Couple of games you want to try in addition to this game... Boppio and Learning Factory
btw the 4 different starting areas are actually all in the same world. youre just choosing a different area to start it.
You should take a look at Dyson Sphere Program, it's also a game about automation in 3D but set in a full explorable galaxy, so you can fly and travel to other planets to get some ressources, automate some drones to got through space to get supplies, that's pretty fun ! I didn't play Satisfactory but i'm a great Factorio addict and DSP hooked me in a minute ! Hope you'll enjoy it. Cheers mate !
All the different world choices you mentioned are actually one giant connect world. I was amazed when I found out satisfactory was so big.
4:56, hey, at least my factory looks like Italian pasta
The game looks like no mans skys world with the jumping design of halo but with a completey different task idea
Satisfactory is a really addictive and relaxing game, until you go exploring and suddenly there's a spider creature jumping to your face. My heart almost stopped🤣🤣🤣
So now I’m just waiting for it to COME TO CONSOLE FOR PETE’S SAKE
Man how do you pump these videos out so fast? You are awesome.
Me: I'm gonna rock at this game!
My brain: Nah boy, you already lost...
I am so glad I stumbled across this game in Beta!!! I love playing it and trying out different play styles!!
my factory was complete chaos, if anyone were to come into my world they wouldn't be able to find anything
Same
"...tiny house to giant mansion". Im currently having that precise experience with Valheim. Ive torn all of my buildings down multiple times just to rebuild them bigger, more efficient and aesthetically pleasing.
thanks for the video, i was thinking about buying it since i liked factorio so much and after the video i made my desicion.
Everytime I see a video like this, it just reminds me of coding (my day job). To people who enjoy these types of building games, why the hell aren't you coding?!? You'd have a lot of fun and it would make you money.
I didn't know a game where you calculate and plan everything can interest me that much
I love this game but if it had some tower defence aspects to it like factorio with turrets etc it would be a million times better
oh my that bull boss reference resonates with me so hard
Seems like a combo of Factorio + Minecraft + No Man's Sky
Nice video! I am sold on this game now. btw, you sound like Razbuten
Him: “The only real challenge in this game is your own brain”
Me: what about the monsters, they can be very annoying.
I just installed this game today and played it for 5 hours straight
11. 11 hours in one day.
bruh i got an ad on this video that said "Why is my step mom so obsessed with that zucchini?" WTF youtube.
"Think of Minecraft Tekkit on Steroids"
So an average FTB/ATLauncher pack, got it
Robo you should be getting so many more views. Your content is amazing
Missed the chance to title the video; why satisfactory is so satisfactory
You know, I should consider quitting all my responsibilities and everything I enjoy to play Satisfactory all day. It sounds like the perfect way to improve my mental health.
Just beware of the spider boys.
2:42 little does robokast know i dont need video games to be mentally challenged
Im in love with this game
I ended up buying a copy for all of my close friends and we made a huge factory together.
This game is amazing.
Looks great! My only wish is that there be some kind of threat similar to the biters to keep you on your toes, but otherwise it looks incredible
i was thinking about The Witness when you talked about mentally challenging yourself, and then you mentioned The Witness. i am spooked.
Knew this game would catch your eye. Awesome vid.
Mans hasent played modded factorio
i want factorio, satisfactory, and dyson sphere project. ive watched like 3 hours of reviews and i have no idea which one to get because i feel like ill miss out on what the others have to offer. i can only get one but at this rate i feel like im never going to decide lol.
0:56 dont need to say more, i will buy
Looks like this game could use a jetpack.
EDIT: It has a jetpack. Pretty cool for looking at what you made from above.
"You need to keep the factory running as efficiently as possible" Correction, you don't. Build the conveyer spaghetti, it'll be fine
You my friend, are going to love Kenshi.
Robocast, check out the old archives of a game back in the early 2000's called Zeus.
finally, animals and planets
You know that a tycoon is a person, not a thing you make, right? A tycoon is a person who is a big player in a certain industry.
Great vid. You should try Subsistence
Next video of this type: why Dyson Sphere Program is Awesome.
A little tip wait to build a permanent factory till you have aluminum processing
so dont build a permanent factory until.... tier... 7? i tend to wait until i have logistics 2 and then get cracking on permanent factories.
Anyone else think Robo should bring back his unturned semi RP server.
I started playing Dyson Sphere Project a few days ago and i think i found a new favourite genre :D Gonna give this game a try as well once i build that damn Dyson Sphere :D
