For people buying an S4 FC (usually 1988 or older), if the previous owner didn't premix, that's totally okay as S4's are mechanical oil metering cars and the system is reliable, assuming all your lines are good.
@@brianskotch2922 If the system hasn't been serviced recently, you're right. My point was more so on non-premixed S4's when looking to purchase one isn't necessarily a deal breaker if the car was serviced and taken care of.
That's the way guys get the original airbox back in I have kept the one in my e36 never wanted to change, people don't get that air boxes are designed to reduce turbulence and air temps and are quite efficient especially on newer cars, these open pod setups that people do are a big waste of time unless they have some sort of snorkel kit and are within a box.

My 1979 RX7 SA I got lucky on as well, super clean and just extremely light surface rust spots in the hatch, but my dashboard is absolutely dicked man, looks like the god damn Grand Canyon
i doubt anyone would see this. but i really want to buy an fc (s5) but im afraid that it will break and i will never be able to fix it. im only 16, i barley started driving but the fc is my dream car. i made a whole google doc on all the info about rx7’s and the engine. it went on for like 31 pages. ive heard both good and bad things about the car. im not sure if i should buy one off the bat. right now im just using a chevy cruz. ive considered a miata or an s15 but i desperately want the rx7. i plan on going to trade school or community college and studying mechanics, so i can learn everything about engines especially the rotary. i also dont want to swap it, i want to keep the rotary. does anyone have advice for me?
RIZE school won’t teach you much/anything really about rotary’s you’ll get more knowledge wrenching on your own car. I say either get it now because fuck it. Or the smarter options wait a few years till you have a back up car then get it.

ROMTHIRTY even a functioning s4 and older OMP does not lubricate nearly as well as premixing does.
