I have an idea. Compare the weak but hardworking with the strong but lazy
I like it... an interesting combo of attributes for a potentially interesting experiment 👍
@@jayhuahua From personal testing, 13 and above as professional almost always yields positive results.
That combined with determination.
Do a 1-5-10-15-20 professional/determination and see some interesting results.
Nice... thanks for that info. I have some tests coming soon to the channel with professionalism. But that idea is a nice one, i might do something with it 👍
@@jayhuahuacould you do one of these tests and have the players be irish? We need heroes 🇮🇪 🙏
Perhaps both being CMs, since I'd assume- strong and lazy, and hardworking but weak; would be good to test on central midfielders
Imagine irl Raith selling him for 2k never playing him then he leaving for 23 million...2 seasons later
I mean, that start at Raith was mental, and the fact he recovered to have a great career was impressive
Only reason that Mikey didn't play for Raith Rovers has to be a glitch with the AI. Surely no other reason because he would have had one sub appearance at least? Also shows how important game time is to development, as we have seen in most of your videos.
Yeah that's what I'm thinking. I think what is super interesting here is the late bloomer thing that was put into the game. He had accelerated growth much later than his counterpart which shows a 20 year old with great potential can still make it
I've played lower league clubs and if the staff all have shitty player judgement they won't realise he's a good player and he'll rot
Mikey may have never played for his first club because the manager just had poor ability at judging player ability and potential as well as bad working with youngsters and man management . It could have just been a bad choice of manager
Hmmm interesting 🤔 never thought of that
after that start i didnt expect mikey to have the better career
Me neither. Very eye opening as to the 'late development' of this years FM
13:30 that Tonali joke 😂
Great video mate! Really enjoying your content
Gotta be done, Ivan Toney isn't safe either 🤣 glad you're enjoying it. Plenty more there and plenty more coming 👍
@@jayhuahua any here again you mock people’s addiction
Mikey made some underdog story career, happy for you pal.
Haha despite things going against him early he came back. Very Hollywood
Another quality video.. keep them coming mate 💪
🫡😎
love ur vids mate keep it up chum
I love how you seem to be watching random videos from ages ago in no particular order 🤣 glad you are enjoying them
I think the interesting thing is it shows how game time doesn't effect growth as much as training does until 19/20 which supports a lot of the evidence other RUclipsrs / testers have found and so the short lad even though he had a lot of game time early that move to villa killed him as that was when he really needed to play and then never did compared to the big lad who didn't play a lot when it is less relevant for him to do so (pre 20~) and then played a lot at that key stage to get the growth that allowed his career to flourish. It might be worth also looking at stuff like facilities etc in the future to see how that makes a difference like if Chelsea's are significantly better or not than Villas at that stage in your save etc.
Yeah it's certainly eye opening from that perspective. Facilities tests are coming... just how i package it up
yes, facilities and coaches indeed.
Enjoyed that 👍
👍
Zealand has done a test to show height doesn’t actually make any difference. The stats that will affect a players aerial ability are heading and jumping reach.
What recently? I done some and seen others on previous FM's. A smaller player will have a smaller jumping reach and in a test like this where we're watching them become world class, the shorter players jumping reach will remain much lower becausr of their heigh... I think
Its been like this for quite a long time to be fair atleast since i started playing which was back in champman xD @@jayhuahua
I think a good idea would be to compare the careers of identical players with one major attribute difference.
3 170 strikers but one has 20 composure the others 10 and 5.
Then try less obvious attributes like reflexes to see how it impacts their careers
I kind of did this on the last FM with 5 players ranging 1, 5, 10, 15, 20. I really enjoyed those videos so I will bring them back and maybe tweak the format, I'll see. Thanks for the suggestion though 👍
Lol nice managers interlude at the end there
Always fun to veer off the road we're all travelling down isn't it. Helps keep you all on your toes thinking, where's this video going next lol
How the hell is 170cm the smallest you can be in the game? That's massive for the likes on Insigne.
Yeah this is my bad. It is meant to be 150, I'm not sure what happened, or how I didn't pick up on it at the time
@@jayhuahua hahaha, okay that makes more sense. I thought fm developers were all 190cm Chads.
🤣🤣 yeah 150 is smallrst so I've prob clicked the wrong thing n just thought I got it right through my sleep deprived state. But I always make little mistakes, it's part of the channels charm I like to think haha
Lucas was top goal scorer one season in premier league
Did i miss that? Good spot. My bad
Great video! What skin do you use? It looks amazing
Thanks, it's the Sas24 skin... best skin out there imo.
www.mediafire.com/folder/kxim8w96s6dnv/Sas23
Why have I suddenly developed a hatred for Raith Rovers
🤣🤣🤣
Look at Mike McManus! At age 27, he has 15 Pace/Acceleration - the exact same numbers you gave to Lucas as a 15-year old! WTF? Lucas only improve Pace/Acceleration 2 points to 17 over the same time frame.
That's one of the flaws with FM. No way can you improve a very slow player to a very fast player over a period of time. Better yet, how do you transform one of the slowest players in League Football to one of the fastest? Yet Lucas, who had natural speed as a youngster never really improved? Then again, what is Newcastle doing? Spend 117 million on a player, then don't use him?
174 cm isn't that small. For us Yanks, that's 5'8 1/2" - which is average height
Yeah, pace should never be able to be trained that much, it's not like strength is it. Nah he definitely grew from starting at 170. Although i think in a future test I want them even smaller, with even more extreme variation
Tallest football player in the world vs. a normal football player.
👍
Do 1 wonderkid in every country as see how many reach full potential
Locked at a club in that league? Have every playable league loaded? My poor PC 🤣 i like the concept, maybe I will do 10...
... weird results. 🤔but interesting to see the shorter kid grown taller. Does it take CA points, hmmm ...
Anyway, for my FM20 save, because of the Home-Grown-Club/Nation ruling for European competitions, I resorted to both Save/Load-ing for 5* kids AND buying kids when they are 17-18yo, then keep them at the club for 3 years. While I do have the best training facilities and some of the best coaches still in 2054, the kids' potential tend to drop to 4* or even just 3* (if somehow the youth team keeps retraining their positions), because i already have too many players to rotate (so they get 20 mins max, usually. And I have like 5 - 7 of them). They did get a run in recent seasons when the league was won by April ... Totally by the way, won the league with 34 players last season. 😅
Because I do not peek at CA/PA, that's what I've got to go with. Felt like a waste. Although a few of those 3* potential kids did become 4* or even 4.5* (much) later, most don't. Was fretting about playing time, and finally loaning a few of these HGC players out to convert them into HGN players ... then i saw your video.
Perhaps i should still lock them up for 3 years within my own club ...
Mentioned on the other comment. Go and watch EBFM series on player development. That guys is awesome 👍 will offer u a lot of insight I think you're searching for
@jayhuahua yeah! Was using his training, and following his youngsters training methods. 😅🙏
Nice Video! glad you did not just use like English and used the country i used to live in Scotland
Yes, it's nice to tweak nationality, but annoyingly I run into work permit issues quite often. However Scotland are immune
Potential interesting idea (but may be way too difficult editor wise) for the 2026 World Cup, replace the worst team with a team that is the best 26 CA players from all nations that failed to make the World Cup as a single squad. How well do the leftovers do against the giants?
Haha i have no idra how to manipulate the editor to achieve this idea... I like it, but yeah I can't do that lol
@@jayhuahuacould make a new tournament, edit team names and add each national team
@@EmmaWithoutOrgans Yeah. Its not going to be simple. My thought would have been to mess with nationalities (put everyone as worst team that qualified), take over the national team, pick the entire squad for the World Cup based on that as all would be forced to declare, and then immediately retire so AI takes over. Not easy, and probably not worth it.
@@e_eyster I think my version is easier but the word easy isn’t something I’d use for this. Could fudge around in the editor this week myself but doubt i’d come up with fuck all
Lol, easy is not the word at all. I wouldn't know where to start haha
I don’t know about you but I’ve seen a player as short as 159cm once
Yeah for a football player 170cm isn’t actually that small. For a rugby player or especially basketball yes of course but football is less dependent on that for most positions.
Yeah 150 is smallest you can go. I think 170 as a striker is considered small though, more ideal as a winger at that size tbh
I would have Mikey up top with Lucas as a shadow striker
A fantastic combo 👍
Do a rebuild at Vasco in Brazil
Not the channel for rebuilds sorry mate. Even my lets play series are taking a back seat for the experiments
@@jayhuahua Maybe one day ❤
Please say ipswich winning the fa cup not too long into the future is going to happen in real life too 😂
Haha 😄 who knows, they're currently doing ok aren't they?
@@jayhuahua 2nd in championship with the 2nd most points in championship history after 20 games surrounded by relegated prem teams 🤣 not bad hey
Unlike one of your previous experiments, looks like Raith gave Mike McManus some speed training. But how realistic is it for a player to jump from 5 pace/acceleration to 10? At his height, he should be dominant.
Regarding Lucas, with his speed and agility, and lack of jumping - seems like he would make a great winger - but he does need to improve crossing. Seems like Aston Villa is pulling a Chelsea - buy young players, then don't play them, or not use them correctly - and wonder why the team fairs poorly.
Lucas should have been at least a 2013-14 Kris Commons. One thing Commons lacked was pace, but Lucas has plenty. Seems strange that McManus developed more Speed/Acceleration than Commons could ever develop!
Yeah this was interesting. The lack of early game time didn't seem to hinder Mikey did it as he flourished later. It is surprising the levels of increase to pace, but also something we all should be mindful of whrn wonderkid hunting
I feel like you need to keep on limiting his pace attribute
Maybe... i wish they allowed you to freeze specific attributes
Bath beat National league side 1:0 in the FA Trophy :)
Cup run is alive
Hey can I have a question? What skin are u using?
www.mediafire.com/folder/kxim8w96s6dnv/Sas23
Best skin out there
you still need to lower versatility ot keep them in one position
Yeah maybe... the changing of position though isn't necessarily something I have an issue with, and I've given players 1 versatility before and they've still been retrained
Cant tell if computer generated or simon murray.
I had to google Simon Murray 🤣 definitely AI Generated, but the likeness is uncanny
170cm isn’t even that small messi is smaller mate and aguero is about the same height, and as far as I know aguero was a pretty good striker
Yeah I'm not sure what happened because it was meant to be 150cm which is smallest you can go.
Isn’t height irrelevant? Jumping reach is all that matters really
On the pitch yes, however in terms of a players development, height will change attribute growth. A smaller player in general will gain far less jumping reach compared to a tall player
@@jayhuahua oh.
I don't understand how a player can go from 5 for acceleration and pace to 15. How does that work?!
It's not caked in realism is it. Just the mechanics of the game I guess... informative though I think. Makes you look twice at a wonderkid with 6 pace doesn't it
@@jayhuahua did you just say that Football Manager isn't caked in realism?
I did lol... certain attributes and tgeir behaviour certainly
Great video btw, I just don't understand how a player can change so drastically at running, and that's not your fault at all, of course! I wonder if there are any real life examples of players who went from 5 at 15yo to 15 at 27?
And one thing it definitely tells me is that I shouldn't write off wonderkids who have low pace etc.
How is 170cm the smallest u can go in game? Even my brother is smaller, probs some irl players are too!?
Yeah, 150 is smallest. I've must have clicked the wrong height and when i mentioned it, i believed it was correct. Very on brand for me 🤣
@@jayhuahua😂 fair
Where can i find that skin ?

170cm it's the shortest you can go in the game? 😅
150 is the shortest you can go isn't it? I'm 2nd guessing myself now
@@jayhuahuawhy did you put 170cm then? Messi is smaller and he is kinda the goat
What’s the name of the skin? 😊
It's Sas24, by Sas. Available here... www.mediafire.com/folder/kxim8w96s6dnv/Sas23
170cm is the smallest you an be??? Thats like 5'7....
Is it? I'm sure you can go to 4 foot 11
@@jayhuahua well you set the height 😂
Something may have glitched out... or I'm a sleep deprived moron who made a mistake. If the latter, it's very on brand for the channel, so if you're new around here, welcome. If not, you know this is my MO anywah 🤣
Smallest you can be is 5’7????? 🤣🤣🤣 my whole team midfield is smaller
5 7? It's 4 11 the smallest you can be
@@jayhuahua yeah but you made the player 170, aka 5’7 as opposed to 15
Man I enjoy your videos but if you want any of your videos to have actual meaning comparing these you need more than 1 player of each type. There's so much variation in development, tactics of the teams, personality changes etc etc you just can't account for with a sample size of 1.
Yeah in some I have a full squad, or in the latest personality series I'm working on I have a sample of 5. For these ones I like keeping it small, more because it allows to delve deeper into their careers and can throw up more wacky scenarios. I appreciate the input though, a larger sample size is utilised elsewhere and may return for these styles in the future too 👍
Did you find it funny mocking someones gambling addiction let’s hope you never suffer from any addiction or mental health problem hey !
